"Good morning." Ryujin, whom had sniffed out the other dragon, seemed somewhat amused, having heard of Ao, but never seen him, "I don't know too much about you myself. I never did like Shen Lung though." The kami extended a hand, "I'm Ryujin, you may know me as Owatatsumi, dragon king of the oceans and lord over Ryugu-Jo. You are Ao Guang, ruler of the South China Sea, if I heard correctly?"

I'd been considering heading over there for awhile now. Oh, I do despise mortal navies.

Ao looked around at Ryujin, startled somewhat, and looked confusedly at the outstretched hand. Then he repeated the hoop-like gesture he had made to Tect, and afterwards resumed his original position. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Ryujin." He pronounced Ryujin strangely, like "err-you-jeen". "I am indeed Ao Guang--although I believe you misheard me in regards to my home, as it is the East China Sea. I apologize for the miscommunication, for had I known of your presence I would have spoken much more clearly."

"Not to worry." He found it funny how Ao pronounced his name, but dismissed it, continuing the conversation. "I'm afraid that I'm rather ignorant of your own history, unfortunately. The only Chinese gods I've had the pleasure to meet were Genbu, who was my servant for a good amount of time, and Shen Lung, who I was," he paused, a serpentine tongue flicking out between fangs, even in his so-called human form it was obvious that Ryujin was no mortal, "Not on the best of terms with. Genbu killed him though, so that's that. What about you? Any legends that I should be aware of?"

Despite the dragon's usually hostile demeanor, meeting another drake was a rarity, and he had learned from his experiences with Patriah not to judge anyone too quickly.

He smiled and ruffled Ky's hair. "You're pretty handsome, so you'll get plenty of friends sooner or later."

He blushed as Genbu ruffled his hair and called him handsome, but one couldn't really blame him. Genbu tilted his head slightly. "How long has it been since you've seen her? Some gods have a habit of disappearing for a while..."

Bastet, holding Khonsu in her arms, sits in room. Kinda distant from most, she has nearly become fully obsessed with her child. "I can't wait for your Father to finally see you, little one." She purrs slightly as she rocks the child back and fourth.

Genbu smiled and squeezed his shoulder. "It's alright, kid. I know the feeling of being abandoned, especially when you only have one friend. One day feels like a week, two days feels like a month... it's gets pretty depressing pretty quick even though it's only been a day." he said, and then tilted his head. "How about this idea? I'll introduce you to Rachel, and then you've made two new friends today. Does that sound good?"

Hyperion sat.

And waited.

And sat some more.

And waited some more.

Hours felt like ages. A day was into an eon.

And he'd only been away for two hours.

But he had to let her think.

She deserved that.

She had the right to say no.

He only wished she wouldn't.

Tect sighed.

Alone again.

Oh, well.

Directing his attention to some of the other, less occupied students, he spotted Ryujin conversing with the same student he had led around earlier.

Clearing his throat, desperate for attention, he said, perhaps a little too loud, "So, nice weather we're having, right?"

The skies opened, and it began to rain.

Ryujin smiled at the story. Honestly, he'd have loved to support the Japanese, but he'd warned them that if they tried to produce such a mighty navy then he would abandon their cause. "Sure," he reached out a finger, drawing droplets of water towards the tip until they formed a decent sized ball, and then let it fall to the ground, walking towards the school building. He loved the rain, it was such a wonderful thing for water to fall from the sky.

"...the last time I can recall being my old self before I slept again. I only woke up only a year ago."

He looked at Tect, startled once more, then looked up as the rain began falling. He closed his eyes for a moment, enjoying the sensation of the rain falling upon him. It had been a very long time indeed since he last felt rain. Then he turned back to Ryujin. "Shall we go inside?"

Ao motioned Tect to come along, with an odd downward-curling hand gesture, then followed Ryujin. "It's been such a long time since I've felt the rain" He began. "And yet, for us, it isn't that long at all. 71 years for beings who are near immortal is practically nothing, and yet I feel like I've aged a millennium. And to be in this body, one so young, compounds the matter. Do you feel this way too?"

"Oh...um...hi..." He said quietly and in a shy manner. He really wasn't used to this kind of introduction, being pointed out so...obviously. Most of the time he was just introduced quickly and then forgotten, but this was...one on one. Of course he was embarrassed, of course he was shy; one really couldn't blame him. He wasn't used to such kindness, after all. At least no kindness without a reason behind it. The goddess Genbu had introduced to Ky stood a bit suddenly, taking him a little by surprise S she shook his hand firmly. He blinked and shook away his brief shock as she asked him what his domain was. "I-I uh, I control the earth...that's...that's my domain..." He said quietly. He rubbed the back of his neck. "I...suppose, yeah..." He nodded, deciding it best not to tell her what he'd done before, how he'd killed all those people...no need to start off on the wrong note, after all. "What's...your domain..?" He decided to ask after a moment of thinking how to continue the conversation. He...wasn't very good at this.

"I'm a time goddess," she said simply. "At least, I am now. I'd... rather not talk about what I was before, if you don't mind. It's not exactly a pleasant memory."

She grimaced. The things I did...

He shrugged. "That's fine. I won't pry." He responded, but now he didn't know what to say, and now...silence. Awkward silence. Well, at least for him it was awkward. Why are such a social idiot..?

It was awkward for her, too.

She fiddled with her sleeves, trying to think of something to say.

"...So... interesting time we've been having lately, huh?" she finally offered weakly.

"Uh...yeah, I suppose so..." He answered, wanting nothing more than to hide from this awkward conversation. Worst was, he was the one that'd made it awkward. Idiot...you're such an idiot... "Not that I've had much involvement...but that's okay, I guess. I've never really liked fighting anyways."

Genbu smiled at Ky as he shifted over to stand next to Rachel, his arm wrapping around her quietly. "Yeah, neither did we. I like a fight as much as the next guy, but I felt the need to keep Rachel safe more than anything, so we hid out somewhere safe." he explained.
