Ma'at took the dates from Nick, and then made him put his head in her lap so that she could feed him. "Hi, Nick... So... Uhm..." she stuttered a little and coughed. "I'm a little awkward, sorry..."

He reached up with a hand a brushed her cheek, smiling softly. "You don't have anything to apologize for," he replied, blushing slightly. "I think it's cute. Besides, if anyone has anything to apologize for, it's me. I dwelled on my worries for so long, trying to determine what the motives behind your actions were. I should have just realized that I was wrong sooner..."

"Shut up..." Ma'at said, leaning down and kissing him.

Raphael smiled and leaned down, sniffing a little as well. "Hmm, maybe it's because the food that's cooking is very, very good?" he said quietly, raising an eyebrow up and down a couple of times.

"You're silly. Now where do we sit?" She looked around, and didn't see too many people, but she was new to all of this mortal stuff, so letting Raphael pick was probably the best option.

"You got sit over there..." Raphael said, pointing to a booth in the back corner. "And I'll order, okay?"

He chuckled and took her hand in his. "I'd love to keep it...I mean, it is very sentimental...but if you want it back, I wouldn't mind either." He said with a bright smile. "I already have the rest of you by my side, anyways."

"Well, if you want to keep it, then you can!" she said cheerfully. "Honestly, it makes me feel better this way, because I feel like I'll always be with you no matter what. And that's good, because I don't want you to ever feel alone. It's not fun at all, feeling alone, so if I can keep you from feeling that way, I want to!"

"Well, then I'll just keep it." He said and smiled before taking a spoonful of ice cream and eating it. After a moment of enjoying the dessert, still holding her hand as he did. "What do you wanna do after this..?" He asked whilst putting another spoonful of ice cream into his mouth.

He reached up with a hand a brushed her cheek, smiling softly. "You don't have anything to apologize for," he replied, blushing slightly. "I think it's cute. Besides, if anyone has anything to apologize for, it's me. I dwelled on my worries for so long, trying to determine what the motives behind your actions were. I should have just realized that I was wrong sooner..."

"Shut up..." Ma'at said, leaning down and kissing him.

"You're silly. Now where do we sit?" She looked around, and didn't see too many people, but she was new to all of this mortal stuff, so letting Raphael pick was probably the best option.

"You got sit over there..." Raphael said, pointing to a booth in the back corner. "And I'll order, okay?"

"Okay." She kissed the angel's cheek, and was about to sit down, then she came across a baby in a high chair, and immediately asked his name, how old he was, et cetera, having a very nice and long conversation with the baby's mother.

She did love her babies.

"Well, if you want to keep it, then you can!" she said cheerfully. "Honestly, it makes me feel better this way, because I feel like I'll always be with you no matter what. And that's good, because I don't want you to ever feel alone. It's not fun at all, feeling alone, so if I can keep you from feeling that way, I want to!"

"Well, then I'll just keep it." He said and smiled before taking a spoonful of ice cream and eating it. After a moment of enjoying the dessert, still holding her hand as he did. "What do you wanna do after this..?" He asked whilst putting another spoonful of ice cream into his mouth.

It was an interesting sensation, the conflict between the warmth of his hand and the chill of the ice cream. She liked it.

"Hmm," she mused between spoonfuls of her own, "as wearying and soul-draining as it is to think about weddings--" she winked to let him know she was just kidding-- "we should probably make some more plans. Get people involved and all of that. Although I've read enough books to know that wedding dresses are strictly girls-only planning events and you can't be involved," she said in mock reproof. "I want to surprise you."

The kami glanced up, laughing, and made sure not to move too much so that Niji could stay comfortable. "I guess so," then he thought of something and laughed a little more, glancing over at the tiny dragon's mother, "You know, for all anyone else knows, I locked you up in Ryugu Jo, just like kings used to do to women they wanted to marry. Maybe I should just keep you here." There was a light of humor in his eyes, but then again he was a dragon, so it wasn't that far fetched for him to actually go through with that.

Niji poked her snout into Ryujin's view and stared at him.

"You've got me there," he tickled Niji's chin with a laugh, "But speaking of leaving, do you want to go back to the surface now? I can't imagine being cooped up in this haven has been good for you, no matter how large and peaceful it may be." He looked over apologetically, "I really didn't mean to leave you down here for as long as I did, but I didn't want you or Niji in harm's way..."

He knew that, in reality, Amaterasu had a better chance of surviving any given battle than he did, more due to caution than anything, but that didn't mean he didn't feel the urge to protect her.

"You've got me there," he tickled Niji's chin with a laugh, "But speaking of leaving, do you want to go back to the surface now? I can't imagine being cooped up in this haven has been good for you, no matter how large and peaceful it may be." He looked over apologetically, "I really didn't mean to leave you down here for as long as I did, but I didn't want you or Niji in harm's way..."

He knew that, in reality, Amaterasu had a better chance of surviving any given battle than he did, more due to caution than anything, but that didn't mean he didn't feel the urge to protect her.

He decided that, on this issue, one of his biggest issues would really only be choosing the color of his suit when it came time. Maybe a gray...or black...I don't know, does it really matter what color it is..? He frowned, remembering the fact that he had to have people in his wedding, seeing as that was a bigger issue than suit colors at the moment. Who do I know well enough to take those positions..? Of course he could invite some of his brothers to take such places, but he wasn't so sure he wanted that...they didn't seem like the type to sit still in a wedding...I'm...sure I'll find someone...right..?

His blush became slightly brighter since she had caught him a little off-guard. But, it wasn't long until it faded and he accepted the kiss. She was the first girl that he had such feelings for, and she was the universe itself. The entirety of everything and a insignificant portion of that everything. Hopefully, he would get his chance to prove his worth. A chance to become more than what he believed himself to be, despite what others saw in him.

I'm pretty sure there's supposed to be someone to have the rings... and a flower girl, really don't know what she does... bridesmaids, maid of honor, best man, groomsmen, and of course someone to perform the ceremony... I think that's it." She sighed again. "Do we even know that many people? It's official--being introverted is suffering."

He had a good idea that she was going to say that, especially being an angel and all, and he thought it was a good idea himself. Of course, he'd never been inside a church, but he knew it was a house to worship God, and was usually very beautiful. "Of course we can get married in a church..." He said with a wide smile. "I love the idea!"
