"N-no! That's not it..." he answered. "It's just... Ma'at." He found himself speechless, unable to think of a way to get himself out of his current predicament. Not once had he been able to tell if she was simply teasing him, testing him as a servant, or was genuinely interested in a lowly human. It was all too much for him. After taking a deep breath, he lowered his hand and turned to her. "I shouldn't see you when you're not wearing any clothing. Many would view it as disrespectful and a violation of their privacy."

Ma'at humphed and sighed, walking into the bathroom again. "Fiiiine... but only because you asked so nicely before." she said, before closing the door and singing something loudly.

Once the door closed behind her, Nick sighed and shook his head as he pulled the contents from the bag. Listening to Ma'at's singing, he grabbed an old propane burner from a box, along with a saucepan and a bottle of fuel. The next step was setting it up atop a table, then dropping the melted chocolate into the saucepan. Afterwards, he turned the nob slightly so that the chocolate would melt slowly and not burn.

He blushed once more, tensing slightly. Again, she made another romantic gesture. It was only minutes ago that she spoke to him as if she saw him as a mere servant. Just more jumbled thoughts and mixed emotions to add to the mix...

For a second, he seemed to be a little distant. But, he quickly snapped back to reality. "A lot it is, then," he replied, smiling once more.

Nick

He froze as soon as the last word left her mouth, trying to decide what he should say. She had said that she loved him just the night before when she was falling asleep, but he wasn't sure if it was her talking or just some unconscious thought. Alas, the truth may be revealed.

What should I do..?

She's the daughter of Ra, the God of The Sun. I'm no more than a simple human... Would my feelings be disrespectful to his honor? Throughout all of the stories that Anubis has told me, not once had I heard of an Egyptian Deity falling for a mortal. I've always assumed that this was because they saw us as lesser beings, like they respected and cared for us as one would a pet, but not as an equal.

Could I be wrong?

"Yes," he answered quietly, lowering his head and expecting the worst.

For about five seconds. Then she lost control of her muscles, being an awkward, undeveloped infant, and fell back down.

Nevertheless, her scales glowed pink with happiness.

Ryujin caught her, and while if he were a sun deity he'd be literally glowing with pride, as one of water, he'd have to settle for metaphorically. "Good job Niji, I'm proud of you." He still wasn't sure how much of what he said she actually understood, but it had to be a good deal with how she responded to most of it. He changed back to his human form, cradling her in his arms, her pink color reminding him somewhat of Otohime, and looked over at Amaterasu with a grin, "She's just absoltely adorable." He sat back down and slid next to her, "But you're still the most beautiful thing I've ever seen."

Flattery is the best method.

"Thank you," Ama said with a smile. "Although, judging from the whole 'dragon' thing, I think she got most of her looks from your side of the family."

Niji's scales turned gold again, and she crawled up Ryujin's head and draped herself there.

He chuckled. "Well, I'm not really sure...but I'm glad that you're happy. There's nothing that makes me feel better than seeing you in a good mood." He said, lifting one of her hands and kissing it gently before he smiled. "I'm so happy that you're the one I'll be married to forever..."
She blinked. He'd kissed her hand. Now that, that was adorable. Sweet, chivalrous, and absolutely, completely Cade. It was so wonderful of him to always be so considerate of her, always trying to make sure that he didn't scare her or make her feel unsafe, taking things as slowly as she needed to, knowing that she'd been hurt and trying to accommodate her, without even seeming to think about how it might be inconvenient for him.

She remembered one of the times that had been clearest to her...

"What happens on our wedding night? I... I mean... I know what's normal... and i-if that's what you wanted, it'd be okay... I'd be okay... I could do it, and I would if you wanted me to... I know you wouldn't hurt me... it's just that... I've never been that close to anyone except... except for... I just... I don't want to have to keep wondering about this... if that's what you want from me, it's okay... I just want to know... that's all..."

"I would never push you to do something you didn't want to do, Charlotte...and if that means that doesn't happen on our wedding nght, or the night after, or ever for that matter, I'm okay with that. I love you for you, Charlotte, not for your body or anything relating to that matter... I don't want you to ever be scared or afraid of doing something with me, okay? I don't want you to do something like this unless you absolutely want to...I don't want you to ever feel like I'm pressuring you to do something like that, I just want you to know I love you, whether we consummate a marriage or not."

Those words had been an enormous comfort. She knew, no matter what happened, that Cade would never try to get her to do something she wasn't ready for. He wouldn't hurt her or scare her, he'd never make her feel alone, and he'd always, always be there for her whenever she needed him.

She wanted to do the same for him. She made a promise to herself that she would do her very best to be there for him the same way he always was for her.

"I'm happy too," she said again. "There's no one I'd rather have by my side than you."

His face lit up as she said this, and his smile grew. He looked truely, genuinely happy because of her answer, and he felt that way too. He was overjoyed to see that she felt the same way he did, that she wasn't scared or felt pressured to be married to him, even if this whole thing had happened a little quickly. It didn't really matter, he guessed, because even if it would've taken a little longer, there would still be the same result. He'd known she was the girl for him for a while, and he always believed that someday he'd get to spend the rest of his life with her. "I'm so happy you feel the same way..." He said, beaming. "I love you."

For a while now, Kystarr had really been on his own. No one really cared to talk or even really pay any notice to him, not that he wasn't used to it, of course. Maybe he'd gotten his hopes up that things would be different simply because everyone here was like him...but now it seemed he was wrong. He sighed and headed for the dorms, searching out an empty room. When he found one, he simply flopped back on the bed, not even caring to close the door. I guess it's back to the life I'm used to...being invisible...

"...Well...this might just be me...but what now?" Joaquin muttered, as he continued standing on the beach, looking out at the now-darkened sky. Millions and millions of years of torture were suddenly done, all in a matter of a few hours. Now, the Angel felt tired and...blank. He had been expecting to feel exuberant, to feel confident and excited and to feel like partying. Yet now he was just tired. He wanted to sleep, and considering everyone else around him had seemed to just move on, after it was all over, he decided he would do just that.

Patriah decided he would do the same thing, except when he was walking by, before he went inside, he grinned at Arael. "...Keep in touch, alright?...I mean...if you're staying, stay. But if you're leaving...I hope we can stay friends," he told him.

Arael nodded to him, and looked out at Haruka and A'yaral. "...Of course...I will always be around, if you need me..." Charlotte had left with Cade, so he could not stay to say goodbye. Thus, he simply turned to Patriah. "...Thank Xavier and everyone for me...for letting me stay here...I will never forget...any of you," he said to them. With that, he whispered, "...Farewell..." and he disappeared with his undead brothers and sisters into the night sky.

"...Gah...I can't think right now. I'm going to bed," Joaquin muttered, with a yawn. With that, he headed inside the building, after Xavier, to go to bed.

Rosalie nodded, and followed them inside. "...We don't have to figure it all out now...we can figure it out tomorrow..." she muttered, serenely. Her wounds were already beginning to heal, and she looked a little better than she had looked a while ago.

Now, still standing outside, were left Hyperion, Nyx, A'yaral, Kyoko, and Haruka. A'yaral did not mind that everyone was going inside. He was just happy to be with someone he could consider a mother, and with people he could consider a family.

I... may have connected a little bit of my soul to yours so you'd be able to find me more easily. I'm sorry, I know I shouldn't do something like that without asking first, I was really desperate. The kami glanced up, laughing, and made sure not to move too much so that Niji could stay comfortable. "I guess so," then he thought of something and laughed a little more, glancing over at the tiny dragon's mother, "You know, for all anyone else knows, I locked you up in Ryugu Jo, just like kings used to do to women they wanted to marry. Maybe I should just keep you here." There was a light of humor in his eyes, but then again he was a dragon, so it wasn't that far fetched for him to actually go through with that.

I... may have connected a little bit of my soul to yours so you'd be able to find me more easily. I'm sorry, I know I shouldn't do something like that without asking first, I was really desperate. I can undo it now if you want me to."

He smiled softly, his mood growing even better after the kiss. "Well, you can take it back if you want...I assumed something like that had happened, but I didn't know it was, well, that. I don't suppose I'll need it anymore, but I don't mind having it either." His smile brightened. "Whatever makes you feel better, you can do it."

Niji's scales turned gold again, and she crawled up Ryujin's head and draped herself there.

"And have me never see the sun again?" Amaterasu joked. "I don't think so."

Niji poked her snout into Ryujin's view and stared at him.

Hyperion turned towards her, or at least as much as he could turn in space, and smiled, wrapping his arms around her. "Guess we both had kinda absent parents then, right?"

Looking back at the glowing start child, which was yawning, the glowing black and rainbow clouds receding around it, Hyperion smiled at the nothingness, and the miracle of life before them.

Turning back at her, as he held her so tight to him, he felt it within him. Looking at this, he realized that they weren't getting any younger. And immortality wasn't forever. He wanted to spend the rest of his time with her. He knew it.

"Nyx? I've got a question for you."

Tect, still giving the new kid a quizzical look, just shook his head sighingly, and moved on, attempting to keep up the conversation.

"So, King of Dragons? How'd you find yourself at this school?"

Pointing to a large Grecian looking building, he muttered a comment about its being the mess hall. Not that anyone ate here, the building being destroyed every day or so.

Ao replied, "I forced myself to come. Nobody in my family ever had a formal education; I figured I might as well be the first." He then turned to look at the mess hall, which struck him as annoying for some reason. Maybe it was just the way it was built, but he instantly disliked it. He turned back to Tect. "Are there dormitories?" He asked.

She was immediately struck by the smell upon walking in. "Wow, it smells great in here." Tilting her head to get a better scent, she smiled, looking back, "Why does it smell so good?"

Raphael smiled and leaned down, sniffing a little as well. "Hmm, maybe it's because the food that's cooking is very, very good?" he said quietly, raising an eyebrow up and down a couple of times.

"Yes," he answered quietly, lowering his head and expecting the worst.

"Good!" she said, and then tilted his head and kissed him on the mouth. "I love you too. Now don't burn the chocolate."

She went and sat down on the bed, turning on the television.

Nick

Nicolas remained motionless as the shock overcame him. After all of his worries, it was as simple as that... A single word, a kiss, and no negative repercussions. At least he didn't have to worry about her father. Meeting him in person still may not be the best idea, so he took note of that.

Shaking his head, he lifted up the saucepan and lightly drizzled it over a a platter of dates until there was none left. Afterwards, he lifted up the dish and walked over to Ma'at, taking a seat beside her.

He reached up with a hand a brushed her cheek, smiling softly. "You don't have anything to apologize for," he replied, blushing slightly. "I think it's cute. Besides, if anyone has anything to apologize for, it's me. I dwelled on my worries for so long, trying to determine what the motives behind your actions were. "Hm?" She looked up to meet his eyes, curious to see what this question might be. "What is it?" She asked as he wrapped his arms around her. She wasn't really sure what he was about to ask her, but she felt whatever it was he wanted to ask must've been triggered by the star child they'd seen being born. She wondered if it had to do with their pasts, when they were younger, or if it had no relation to any of that at all...really, she'd just have to wait to hear his question, and she felt if she continued to try to guess, she'd only ruin her expectations. He was a bit unpredictable, after all.

"Well, if you want to keep it, then you can!" she said cheerfully. "Honestly, it makes me feel better this way, because I feel like I'll always be with you no matter what. And that's good, because I don't want you to ever feel alone. It's not fun at all, feeling alone, so if I can keep you from feeling that way, I want to!"
