Emergence
It was in the year 2005 that the term Heroes and Meta first emerged into the public eye and became mainstream for a reason other than comics. The first hero became known to the public after a group of criminals hijacked an armored semi and initiated a high-speed chase. As the semi was approaching a Police roadblock, a man in a faded green hoodie with a book in one hand and headphone walked into the middle of the street. It was obvious that the man was distracted by something as he didn’t notice the commotion around him until bullets from the Semi passed by his face. He turned towards the Semi, Long burnt gold hair escaping his hood as he did so; He stuck out a single arm. Everyone watching was expecting the man to be blown away like a ragdoll, but that didn’t happen. His large frame stood firm like a mountain, the cab of the Semi crumpled around the man’s arm like hammer striking wet clay. He disengaged himself and walked away, everyone was too flabbergasted at what they had seen to move or chase after him.
That man was Robert Macintyre, who would later be known as Mr. Invincible. Following the interview with him, revealing his identity, other people who had powers, who would be called Meta’s emerged. Just as heroes with powers emerged so did those who committed crimes with their abilities. Over the next 10 years a status quo was kept, Heroes would stop the crimes that the Villains would commit. That is until The Triumvirate vanished; their members included Mr. Invincible, as well as two other equally as powerful Metas known as Duststorm (Who controlled Sand) and Twilight (Who controlled light and Darkness). They each held an area of the world in check, keeping the villains and criminals in check. Mr. Invincible had the America’s; Duststorm had Africa while Twilight had Eurasia. Duststorm in name was in charge of Oceania, but that area was mostly self governed.
No one knows what became of them or why they vanished, but these are the facts. Shortly after The Triumvirate vanished two different groups emerged, one was a relatively organized villain group that called themselves Khaos. The other was a secret government organization whose agents went by the term Numbers, they answered to a group of 9 men and women, whose influence was massive, known as the Colors; they went by the colors of the Rainbow and White and Black. Many of the Number agents are normal, but extremely skilled humans, they each have a Non-prime number as an Alias/designation. Prime Numbers are assigned to those who are extremely skilled or powerful and some are Meta’s others are not.
It has been two years since the Vanishing, and one more organization has joined the fray. They call themselves Aegis, the shield to protect human and Metakind. They are formed of Meta’s and normal humans alike. Within recent months members of Aegis and Khaos have been clashing with more frequency and the Organizations agents have been butting into Aegis’s affairs, causing those two groups to clash at each other as well. The Colors have used their influence to start the motions of Bills to regulate Meta’s. One has already been passed previously that turned the Island of Alcatraz into a Prison to house Metas. It is currently home to Mr. Invincible’s greatest rival, A Meta Who went by the name Ominfarious, (He could shape shift into any form, gaining that forms strength and power).
