The year is 2042. The Roman Empire controls much of the world. However, the glory of Rome has largely faded as the Roman Imperator has cracked down on all resistance, as well as on ordinary people, turning the empire into a police state and slaughtering innocents to prevent resistance. Fortunately, some Roman nobles still have some integrity and have decided that the Imperator must fall. Unfortunately, in the Great Betrayal, one of the conspirators chickens out and gives the others up. Word is received of the betrayal and the nobles manage to flee before the guards reach them, carrying a number of items. Will you be the one to free Rome? Or will you be the one to maintain the empire?
