VARSITY ROW - APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP GOGAPP Name: Cresadine How Long Have You been RP'ing?:Three years, on a different account, actually my three-year-anniversary was just a few days ago. Why do you RP?: I am a mega-geek and a self-described literati so I enjoy creating different plot-lines, characters, and worlds. Roleplaying also helps me practice my writing, and when you are RPing your stories actually get to interact with other people's stories - so I get practice and have fun. Preferred Genres: I love Medieval GOT-esque situations, however I like for them to be in a different world so that the lore can be crafted by the players as a group and not relying on some already established canon. I like Fantasy Adventure-type roleplays. I also enjoy School-RPs, God RPs and Coming-of-Age Stories. In any genre however, I like for there to be intensive drama, and character dynamics. Whenever I do roleplay I like to be able to craft the lore, and have complex character relationships. I also, when given the chance, like to create religions for the RP and if playing as made-up nation/culture I like to throw in the use of the Conlang I've been working on. OP experience? (Y/N): Yes My Roleplaying Strengths Are: When OPing I usually am good at organizing everything and setting it up, but I get stressed after a while and find it hard to continue managing everything. When roleplaying I usually am good at writing in descriptive language and adding detail about my characters opinions, and backstory. I really enjoy developing characters, plot arcs and storylines that induce mass-drama. I am a stickler for drama, if you cannot tell by now. I found another one!
A little bit of background: I am a student of linguists and cuneiform (I am particularly interested in Sumerian - and Old Near East languages) and as a project for my class we had to research different linguistic features and how different languages express meanings. I got a good grade, and ever since (for about a month or so) I have been working on this on and off.
So basically the language, at its essence right now it is somewhat agglutinative, in which words that modify a noun, pronoun or verb are attached as either suffixes and prefixes (like instead of "the red house" it would be "theredhouse.") Words are declined in nine cases, three levels of humancy (Human, Non-Human, Divine) and six numbers.
I have yet to tackle verbs which will be a difficult task.

ayyy ancient near-east pals
That sounds intriguing though! Verbs would be pretty confusing, but very possible I'm sure

Hmm I see what you mean. Originally I was thinking that Humancy would correlate with the actual object. But I think it would be a lot more simple to just assign them culturally.
For a culture I have yet to come up with something, though I think a highly reverential/superstitious culture would be appropriate.

That's a good idea, yea
Personally, I'm partial to Mesopotamian-styled cultures, which certainly is agreeable with your field I'm sure

Chicago is a rough place as it is, gangs and crime run rampant alongside corrupt politicians who stand only for reelection. To make matters worse, this version of Chicago is one where humans have evolved alongside vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and other beasts of the night who prey upon them. This is a story about survival.
Or rather, the 32nd precinct in downtown Chicago and the police and detectives who staff it. Their problems include the paperwork involved with the war on the demonic, dealing with inept glory seekers who cycle through as their CO, dispersing stoner vampires and werewolves who just decided to light one up behind a Chili's, and, occasionally, helping run a sting operation to blow the lid off the underground gnome trafficking network.
In a premise where Supernatural meets Brooklyn 99, the most normal cops you could possibly imagine are dropped into a world of magic and mystery, and completely accept their true position on the food chain.
