Almost.

Honestly, with a fleet of ships literally just dedicated to getting people to move and borderline magic to show off, it's only bordering on the unrealistic.

IRL the Thirteen colonies got 150,000 in a decade, and they were just a normal colony. A normal colony with ten times less potential colonists, too, as China has 60 million atm and Britain only around 6.

It's fine.

Partly Riley being a good negotiator/diplomat and convincing entire villages to go. Partly the promise of literacy and work (especially now that tons of former serfs are without a job as they weren't farmers). Partly the fact that they just can. Partly the promise of a new life. Partly the promise of seeing these magical technologies in action. Partly the lust for adventure and going elsewhere. Partly them not wanting to deal with the war in Japan.

I mean, I could name any number of reasons, they're basically the same reasons as any colonists, except amplified due to these crazy weird steamships brining them and these weird factories and other things.

But there's only so much I can do within five or so years before people start realizing that California is just another nation, except with cooler machines. Right now I'm encouraging a slightly more simplified form of modern "simplified Chinese", which will help a lot. But soon people will begin to resist in massive quantities, and then I'll need to be more gradual.

No, I have far better tech than 1700s England. And all that isn't what makes immigrants come over. I can take care of the journey, I just need people to fill the ship with.

Thank you. Now, not everyone in California knows that the universe is billions of years old or that atoms exist, but a significant minority do. And with my technology and expertise (compared to their knowledge) and the fact that I'm immortal, hopefully I can cultivate a society of science, while at the same time making a command economy.

Skills: Smart and Strong with a good ability with hand to hand and ranged combat
Weaknesses: Prone to rage, Loner
Tech brought back ( must be able to carry all three on person at the same time; only 3 things): Ares Armor, Constructobots, The Zephir
The Ares Armor was the last pinnacle of military technology before wars were finally over with. This extremely lightweight armor was extremely great at what it was meant for. The armor is virtually indestructible in regards to hand-held weapons, water, fire, and even weapon fire. Though it was never rated to handle explosions and large amounts of force like cannonball. It covers all parts of the body, except for the face, although the helmet has a visor which can be flicked down in order to act as sunglasses. (Better versions had HUD software in them but Vaz never got that kind.) The armor is quite comfortable and has many pouches and pockets to carry items.

Made by the Alta Corporation, this suitcase holds within it a large amount of nanobots that can take an item at the atomic level and use it to build other items at the atomic level. The Suitcase is powered by a small nuclear powercore. This was in use in order to get rid of the need for construction workers.

The Zephir is Vaz's pride and joy. It is a shortsword that is made out of an extremely durable, sharp, and nearly indestructable alloy. (Thus he can build no others of these) The Zephir is able to convert solar energy to charge the alloy of the sword allowing it to cut through any metal up to steel with ease.

Personality: He is a man who rather doesn't like his fellow man much. He finds them horrid creatures and thus he doesn't seek friends. He is more of a loner, but he has no qualms of pretending to be something he is not. He is prone to rage though, this problem has caused him to harm many people before, and was one of the chief reasons he left the modern world.

I am going to have to say no for two reasons. The constructobots and the armor. Nanites i have found are too OP in this RP, and I have on several occasions reduced their abilites. And the armor would simply make the RP to easy for you, and too difficult for others.

Plus both the suitcase and sword came with power sources?

Also, Cristo, I am disappoint. You let Reatra build Diesel engines without ever saying lolwut and stopping him for realism.

Sure, given the bots have the programming for an engine carried with them back through time. Just don't try to sell me the bridge that your character can replicate an engine's technical specifications and program it in to the 'bots from first principles. That's where I think Reatra has jumped the shark in a lot of ways; an educated man of the future might understand how an engine works, in the same way I IRL understand how nuclear fission works. That doesn't mean I can build a nuclear power plant, or he can make a functional motor.

I think, at the time, Reatra's character had a PC device with the specs

For example, Buchail, my character, has a Reader with a bunch of specs, a universal powersource, and a constructor. Because he has the Constructor he can make deep well water pumps.

Oh no, I understand where his first inventions came from, and I'm not condemning you in the least- you have essentially the same loadout as my character. I just have an issue with him continuing to make plans for things like airplanes years after he lost the computer.
