Well the whole point of this RP is to wank yourself so hard you self-insertulate all over the world.

There's a god-emperor in Rome with an elite legion armed with rifles. I have a couple thousand men with guns and a steam-powered city state. We're about equal depending on how you compare us.


G-Tech joined late but I'm sure in two and a half years he'd be similarly ahead.

You are 33,000 people. Not men, not warriors, people. Your only gun is the 1919 browning, which would require at least 3 Chinese men to operate and move around. You have two steam ships.

I have a population of around 110 million people, with hundreds of thousands, if not a million soldiers. My Army of Fire is quick, and can both defend and attack with great ease. On that note, we too have a steam ship.

Equal in terms of having advanced since we arrived in 100 CE. You're more powerful, but we've advanced about the same.

Also, Rome had 50 million at its height...

Well, I ain't exactly greedy(hehe) but I was thinking taking one of the slavic tribes and come and settle on the Adriatic or in Bulgaria, roman lands. Unless you are gonna "invite" me in exchange for fealty perhaps?

I was thinking about that.... do you think what you are doing may be destructive to the entire civilized world? I mean, you are exporting massive amounts of rare materials that are worth a lot of money. But as we have seen in colonial America, the more there is of something, the less its worth is. If you keep up on your current path, you may wreck both of our economies.

Not really, I think you might have the scope wrong. I'm not introducing several tons of gold and silver into the Roman Economy with no output on their end. It's a wide variety of worked metals, gold and silver ingot, copper products, salts, and other finely crafted goods. And they're being traded for other luxuries and seeds and whatnot. This isn't what happened with Mansa Musa or the Americas either, as those were on a far grander scale were one way exchanges. Remember, Hartford is only 10,000 big. It isn't producing economy wrecking amounts.

Well honestly my character has to be a good tactician, i plan on uniting the tribes of Thrace under Jack, then fortifying the new kingdom against barbarians to the north, Roman's to the west and Greeks to the south.

You know that Thrace is Roman right?

I wasn't sure, honestly. I can't find many fact's for Thrace as of 100 AD, since it seemed to be under Roman Occupation. I plan on Uniting the Tribes against Rome, so i'll have to stage an overthrow or Coup. Considering the Roman conquest was only around sixty years ago. I assumed that some tribal structure still existed, correct me if i'm wrong. How would Thrace be ruled or governed?

Alright, then slight change of plans. My character will land and meet one of the tribes chief's. Demonstrate his pistol's capability and claim that he is a god. He'll force a meeting between all the tribal leader's and convince them to name him King of Thrace, then help him overthrow the Roman's in the area. (I actually have most of this written up, did it this morning)

Would a Roman governor be present, or the military to enforce the occupation?

Why would I tell you how to lead a rebellion against me? I suppose your best bet would be to appeal to cultural identity I suppose ( as claiming to be a god is about to be punishable by death EG; watch puerignis). If you wanted to get all Thracian tribes under your wing, you would have to make a name for yourself. You would have to do several things over a period of time to make you famous.

Why would I tell you how to lead a rebellion against me?
