With Haven down, it gets tricky. Eberhardt needs a win early to solidify himself as a strong candidate, and S.C. has that Christian, Conservative base, hence the effort here. Scalise has been doing well enough, a victory here would help imply a top-2 bit, but he can take a loss. For Williams, he is definitely going to hold on until Super Tuesday regardless-winning S.C. could help, but it is the other southern votes that matter. Breckenridge is in an odd situation, his votes are going to start coming in later in the primary season, so S.C. could be needed to give supporters a reason to hang on, or it could be simply a place where he makes a bit of a showing just to keep going-I think the latter, especially because the voter base is going to be rather hostile to him. Kiser-I really do not know about. He nailed New Hampshire almost without showing, which was weird-he is the wild card. Garestaer exists. Probably. Too much time on the email to really campaign at all.

I am bringing back a character I used in the last Political RP.

Image

Character Information Sheet
[/align]

NS Nation Name: TURTLESHROOM

Character Name: Ping Khanling

Character Gender: Make

Character Age: 99

Character Role: Senator (President Pro Tempore)

Appearance: Ping is a Mongolian-American, full Asian.

Character State of Origin: Hawaii

Character Affiliation: Republican

Main Strengths:
Ping never lies, though he does withhold truth unless directly asked, in which he tells all. Ping is honest, loyal, and he never flip flops his legislation. He loves his country, his job, and his constituents, and everyone agrees that he, unlike most politicians, does not lie.

Main Weaknesses:
Ping never lies, though he does withhold truth unless directly asked, in which he tells all. His loose lios and honesty locked him out of powerful positions and chairs because he was a major part in (accidently) leaking the Pentagon Papers. Ping is loud, forceful, and stubborn. He thinks no one else is right and that his interpretation of the law is the only one. He has no political correctness. He will flat out say things that are rude, insulting, and downright mean if it crosses his mind to say so.
In 2008 AD, he called Obama a "redistributionist devil thief" and said that he was the man Joseph McCarthy saw coming. He cursed Obama out several times in both English and Mongolia and made a scene of himself by crashing a big-ticket Obama fundraiser.
He also got in hot water by telling Sarah Palin that "she couldn't tell a light to go dark when the switch goes off" and that while her ideas were "absolutely correct", she "has the speaking capability of a third grader".
Ping's outspoken opinions on homosexuality, Marxism, deficit spending, religion, and the removal of most federal agencies make him a hero to Tea Partiers and Republicans, but an enemy to moderates and liberals. He is laughed at as much as he is praised.
His wife died the day Nicon resigned. He took it hard. Though no one knows this, he slept with Tricia Nixon (Richard Nixon's daughter) and fathered a child. He still makes large sums of money to keep it quiet, but he has never spoken of it and he has never been asked about it. He has never had sex since.
Ping hates Islam. He calls it a cancer and refers to Muslims as "the demon seed of Ishmael" and as "kebabs". Every year since the eighties, he had introduced a bill to make it illegal for any Muslim to immigrate to the United States of America. He has donated many times to anti-Islamic groups in Europe and has spoken at their events. He has admitted to this when asked.
Since he does not lie, he is horrible at keeping secrets. He was a major, accidental leaker of the Pentagon Papers.

Bio:
Ping is ethnically Mongolian and is both the only Mongolian-American in the Senate. His family escaped Mongolia and gave birth to him, their eldest son, two years later. He the oldest and longing serving Asian in Senate history, having passed Daniel Inouye at his death in 2010 AD. Ping was born in the Territory of Hawaii as an expat. His family fled Mongolia after attempting to aid the Mad Baron, Roman von Sternberg, in restoring both the Mongolian Empire and toppling the Bolsheviks in the Russian Civil War. Ping was born into poverty and attended a missionary schoolhouse because he was born in a remote area of the territory. His family was originally a remnant of Mongolia's original Tengri faith, but they converted to Christianity shortly before he was born.
Ping lived around agriculture field. He developed polio at age four and miraculously survived, which is often credited as to why the family became so zealously religious for the Christian faith. The polio left him nearly blind in one eye and gave him a severe limp, which saved him from being drafted in WWII. Unable to do farm work, he studied American and Mongolian history and was particularly fixated with law and the balance of powers in the United States. He decided at a young age that he wanted to serve his God by running for office to better his would-be constituents and to better his country.
Ping was elected to the territorial legislature of Hawaii and became a celebrity among both the Christian and Asian communities. Upon Hawaii's ascession to statehood, he ran for and won the Senate seat. On the day Hawaii received statehood, he became Hawaii's second federal Senator, serving alongside the first, Daniel Inouye, as a Democrat.
Ping rose to fame during the McCarthy fiasco as a sitting member of the House Un-American Committee. He was as zealous as McCarthy, but did not take a leading position. He famously grilled several people and asked them to define and recite the purpose of Marxism as per the Manifesto, and when they did not, he cursed at them in Mongolian.
It was during this time that Ping became best friends with Strom Thurmond, who had run for the Dixiecrat minor party in 1948 AD. He quickly adopted and built upon Thurmond's radical interpretation of the Tenth Amendment.
Ping's defining moment, though, was during the Civil Rights Movement. He broke with his party along the issue of race, believing that blacks were equal to whites, and this split ultimately caused him his greatest controversy. While he personally loathed Jim Crow and segregation, he refused to vote on legislation that interfered with private businesses. He was called a hypocrite for voting in favor of early Civil Rights Bills, which were government only, and then voting against them when they tried to dictate who a business could hire or fire. Despite this, Ping endorsed Strom Thurmond and defended everything he did, including his Tenth Amendment basis for allowing states to choose segregation as they wished, though he personally said blacks were equal to whites.
Ping was violently anti-Marxist. He supported the Vietnam War and famously stood on the Capitol steps during an anti-Vietnam War protest shouting "Better Dead than Red" as he was booed and called Asian racial slurs, after which someone attacked him and broke his nose.
Throughout the Counterculture, Ping spent much of his time limping into anti-war protests and loudly debating the people there. He was not shy about what he thought about hippies, and the words he said to them in Mongolian would make natives of that country's ears bleed.

Other Info:
Ping's core politics are based off of Joseph McCarthy and Strom Thurmond, while his stance on race is more aligned to the Civil Rights leaders. His religious interpretations are based off of Mike Huckabe and are similar to Glenn Beck. His foreign policy is based off the obsolete Cold War doctrines of Containment and the Truman Doctrine.

Ping is one of those men that are so old, that they have become the state they represented. Just as Strom never left South Carolina's seat, the same too happens to Ping. Not even the liberals vote against him anymore. Ping's modern base is the Tea Party, who see him as one of their champions and commends him for his views on race.

Ping enjoys: Mongolian history, American history, the Tenth Amendment, Strom Thurmond, equality for blacks, dead Marxists, honesty, his family, the Tea Party, and balanced budgets.

Ping hates: Marxists with a pulse, Marxism, liberalism, deficit spending, unbalanced budgets, business regulations, telling states what to do, stimulus packages, neoconservatism, Patriot Act, Islam, organized labor, bailouts, subsidies, food stamps, fraud, Sarah Palin, and any entitlement or annuity besides Medicare and Social Security.

I don't know, considering he hasn't been to a single debate, and he hasn't polled in any primary or caucus. He's the Jim Gilmore of this cycle.

He is heterosexual, but still single, and very Christian. Basically, the AFVC ran an add attacking Rep. Fokker of being homosexual, and Eberhardt went after them for gossiping (Fokker is also heterosexual) they then (since they used Eberhardt's profile picture for Fokker) recycled the ad to go after Eberhardt, and spammed it every other page or so. Eberhardt eventually sued for libel, which is still in court-but in the debate, the moderator asked about the ad, and Eberhardt's homosexuality, implications there, then, in his next question, made a grammar error that made it sound the same. (He said "What is your position of Eberhardt as a homosexual candidate) without the comma needed to separate the clauses. Cross then implied he was homosexual in his response, and Breckenridge might have, I cannot recall, but now Gaerester is doing the same. It was kinda funny, and I suppose it remains mildly amusing, but it seems there is a nationwide conspiracy to prove that he is not heterosexual.

Of course he isn't, right? Could you tell me about that situation real quick so I know the nature of these accusations?

At this point, I'm wondering if AFVC was just some guy who wanted to troll this RP, and actually ended up having lasting impacts on it.
