The main reason I would like to know is for those of us who are resting, would it be as if we got a night's sleep or just an hour long nap?

Essentially, whoever might have been resting can just post that they woke up or whatever.
The idea was that time just kind of glitched out, resulting in everything being pushed forward a few hours. So, one minute it's night-time, the next minute, it's suddenly day time. One minute, your watch says it's 23:00, suddenly it says it's 6:00 AM.
That's the idea. I'll describe it better in the post.

Okay, i'll wait for the post to double-check my guess. But if am understanding this correctly, essentially time of day doesn't have much of a meaning?

Not really. It's just an excuse to get us over to Day 3, since Day 2 has drug on for nearly ten or so pages now.
I wouldn't think too hard about it, honestly.

Gres, would it be okay for Giuseppe to get a church marking?
I mean he wouldn't understand its meaning if that's your issue, and it kinda makes sense if you squint, get dirt in your eyes and put a bucket over your head.

Well, I mean, the problem is that it wouldn't make a whole ton of sense. The Yellow Guy's working against the Church, and Giuseppe is the only "on-screen" vessel he's actively using. If anything, it'd make sense for him to start showing symptoms of being inhabited.
Jaundiced skin would be a nice touch, actually.

Close enough, Im going to go with that.
Wait, what if he started getting yellow fever?
Now that would be perfect.
