Indeed. I figured it was appropriate seeing as NML is pretty much dead for now, and this is (in my mind, at least) the spiritual successor to that.

It's totally not because post-apocalyptic, horror and sci-fi are the only things I can competently write.

Weaknesses: Somewhat meek, a tad too trusting, stubborn enough to outclass the British, and very average fitness level.
Personality: Good-natured but foul-mouthed. Picks her battles but tends to hold somethings against people. A total gun-nut, but with a heart of gold. Really just wants to help people and get a little recognition every now and then.
Biography: You would be hard-pressed to find a more willing and able Senior Member out of her squadron to get involved with Cadet Programs, even if only to teach drill. That came from her 9 years as a cadet, herself. Brit has been through a lot in her time, but CAP is only an auxiliary of the Air Force. A non-profit civilian paramilitary volunteer organization designed to help conduct Emergency Services in times of need and to teach young adults and teenagers about aerospace. Still, she has put in a lot of time training in Search and Rescue both on Ground Teams and as a Mission Radio Operator at base. She is dedicated, but lax on the authority she has as long as she's being given the same respect she was told to give.

Outside of CAP, she's very laid-back in life. She graduated high school despite constantly taking shit from everyone and went on to try for college. When that didn't work, there was always enlisting. Before she could finish that up, she was called out to a Search and Rescue mission down in Toledo. A routine mission, really: Do ramp checks at the local airport in the response of an ELT signal being detected. Her team scoured all through the airport and had to move into the surrounding suburbs. When investigating a backyard property after receiving permission from the homeowner, she found a bright orb of light. Curious, she moved to try to touch it. Next thing she knew she was waking up in the middle of a desert next to a lone house. It seemed like a great place to stay, but the Zone has a habit of making things very weird.
