THE ZONE: A Survival Horror RP (Semi-Closed / OOC)

So, a few issues.

First, this isn't actually a STALKER RP. It's heavily inspired by it, but it's not actually part of the same universe. Ergo, it's not actually in the Zone of Exclusion around Chernobyl.

Second, there aren't any established factions yet. This is meant to be more freeform and factions will be established as the story goes on.

Third, I like literally everything about the app except for those two points.

This was a copy+paste from the last STALKER RP I was in. It died before it had a chance to live. I'll fix.

Personality: Asset 128 (Referred to Gareth from this point onwards in this document) is quite amicable, providing the necessary skills to form positive and cooperative social bonds in the zone, furthering mutual goals. Gareth has no reservations with killing, stealing or almost any other form of attack against another party, but is hesitant to cause unnecessary suffering, but is not concerned with betrayal. They are not very quick to anger, instead having a very calm personality overall with a clinical tone, but are capable of mimicking different emotions.

Biography: Gareth was born on the 26th of January, 1995, to Jenny and Patrick Carlow, both of which had previous ties to the organisation, being a low-ranking field agent and a researcher, respectively. After a series of smaller operations on behalf of the organisation, both parents resigned from the organisation and intended to stay at home living a more domestic life using the retirement funds provided to loyal members of the organisation. Eventually, Gareth grew up, and at the age of 7, was conscripted by the organisation into a special training program, originally intended to create highly skilled infiltration officers. This was actually supported by their parents, as at the time, enemies of the organisation were hunting their family, and they believed their child to be safer in the organisation's hands.

The formation of The Zone caused the organisation at the time, the French Deniable Covert Operations Unit (F.D.C.O.U, colloquially named "fondue" by its members), to rename itself into its current incarnation, and its training quickly switched to more militaristic skills. Gareth eventually became a full agent, being part of the 5th Artefact Retrieval Squad thus far. They were dispatched along with a small paramilitary civilian convoy that had no ties to the organisation whatsoever, with Gareth posing as a third-party mercenary, and after the group entered the zone, Gareth abandoned them. Asset 128's current location is unknown, but it is presumably inside The Zone.

Liked the little bits you added but I'm not quite sure about how Grestin would feel about the Organization. It probably won't matter too much if they're aren't actually involved except as backstory, but from my understand the American's are probably a little on edge about the whole thing and may not take kindly to people aligned to foreign powers snooping around. Just my thought but I may be overthinking things.

I don't really think it would be that big of a deal for a foreign power to be doing shady shit around the Zone.

The Americans just want it to go away, maybe others would think differently.

Personality: Yuki's a determined individual who sought to do her best on every task that she committed herself to do. Outwardly peaceful and serene, spending days alone lost in the wilderness when the chaos began meant that she has an innate fear of being ambushed almost anywhere. Yuki is polite, and respectful to her elders and juniors, and hopes to be someone they can count on.

Biography: Born in Japan, Katori Yuki went through a normal education, scoring high grades in every subject due to intelligence and hard work. Yuki was scouted for a model agency when she was fourteen, appearing in magazines and papers for junior fashion and variety shows. Despite the added workload, Yuki simply worked harder, pushed herself further and challenged anything that stood in her way.

Yuki graduated with distinctions at the age of 16, just as she her body began to develop, her womanly features showing themselves as she gradually moved on to more lucrative fashion contracts. Soon, she was fast becoming one of Japan's potential top models, starting at a young age. With a good height, figure and personality, boys were soon chasing the girl like one chases a cherry blossom, but like the petals which disappear into the wind, Yuki spurned their advances, and soon, even she disappeared from Japan.

Katori Yuki and her parents moved to America to start a culinary business, but it was not to be when all things went to hell, and her family tried to strangle Sakura herself. Desperate, Sakura grabbed the FN Five-Seven which her family kept and shot her parents even as they tried to eat her. Shaken but unharmed, Sakura did the only thing which she remembered. Run. Run to a secure location and establish the situation.

Yuki did that, but her head, it hurts, her chest burned as she heaved onto the pavement, and what tried to kill her next? A manhole cover, flinging itself to her and almost getting a hold before Yuki managed to knock it away. The untold horrors, Yuki witnessing a Shroom violating humans in ways indescribable, monsters leaping out and shifting dimensions. Convinced that she was about to go insane, Yuki did the only thing which she has been known to do. Run. Run forward, to whatever fate awaits her.

Soon, she found herself in the Safe Zone. After learning how to move about, as well as managing to loot some equipment from a military outpost, Yuki managed to rent a room near the border, as she tried to continue her lifestyle of sneaking through the walls, her lithe form and small figure a bonus for hiding.

Things were looking good, easy money coming in and owning a warm and stocked room. However, Yuki was beaten and robbed one day, avoiding the worst to happen to a girl only when some soldiers scared her attackers away. Left with little money, no food and only her backpack which she managed to save, things are not looking too good for her.

Couldn't really tell, and if the former I think it would be nice to mention how they've survive for so long from the beginning to now.

Also, we are getting a lot of military characters. Just an observation. It makes sense but I was hoping for some odd ones here and there, like, maybe a dedicated pizza delivery guy whose targeted address is in Vegas or something.

Personality: Quiet, nice, and unassuming at first glance, Alex possesses an intelligent and calculating personality behind the nice and quiet exterior mask, almost to the level of being insufferable genius, occasionally. But he is also helpful, a very helpful person and know when to step back from things. And he knows sarcasm.
Biography: Born in Los Angeles, from Korean immigrants, Alexander is not his real name, but his parents changed it to closely resembled American name so as to gave him a sense of new identity as an American, something that both of them wanted to. Alexander spent most of his time near his house and his school, occasionally ventured outside those two places to market and mall, helping her mother who sold vegetables there. His father worked in the factory near Koreatown as a security guard of a factory who mostly hired Korean immigrants. It was at this time, during his spare time that Alexander found a hobby in photography, and took lessons in photography, eventually earned him a place at photography school.

His career went to the spotlight during the 1992 Los Angeles riots, he was still on his 30s when he photographed what happened in Koreatown during the riots and published it as to attracted attentions and aids, through local newspaper as well as online, though with the limited availability of internet at that time, it didn't affect much. It gave him enormous praise from the Koreans in the town, and it inspired him to helped people around the world through photos. He joined Greenpeace and National Geographic, traveling the world and helping the world through his camera. Of course he learned marksmanship from shooting range, especially since "helping the world" requires protection, and unless you're rich, you've got yourself to protect yourself.

When he heard that the Zone was happened, he gathered his equipment and tried to went there but was rejected as it is dangerous. Recklessly, he bought a passage entry through a black market to the Zone, with all of his equipment. Now, he's in the Zone, hoping that he gets enough photos and then published it to the world so that they know what happened, and forcing them to give aids. A man named Jacob Bentley smuggled him into the Zone safely, if a bit wounded from attacks. So, you know, these two guys know each other.
