Okay, so I had a long post that had examples on just WHY socialism doesn't, and never will, work, but apparently hitting CTRL and X at the same time on accident closes tabs.

Anyways, if you, or anyone, wants to reply to this, do it via TG so that HH doesn't turn into a political debate thread.

Basically how socialism would work in America:
Bernie Sanders wants to enact a NINETY PERCENT INCOME TAX RATE. Anyone who supports this has no idea what they're talking about. Let's say, for example, Sy works very hard for his career, and makes 100,000 dollars a year. But then, say the rest of us don't work very hard and only make 10,000 dollars a year. Well, we're all going to lose 9,000 dollars, and Sy's going to lose 90,000 dollars, every year. (For this example, just assume only 5 people are making 10 grand) Well, that means the government has 135,000 dollars. What are they going to do with it? They're going to redistribute is evenly amongst the people. Everyone gets 22,500 dollars. The people who don't work very hard, therefore, now make 23,500 dollars a year, but Sy only gets 32,500, despite how much harder he works.

Does that really seem fair? Now, let's change up the equation. We still have Sy and 5 of you who don't work very hard, but then let's say Free and I don't work at all. Free legitimately cannot get a job because of a recent injury that paralyzed him from the neck down. I just don't want to work, because I know that the government will pay me no matter what.

So I make 16,875 dollars a year for sitting on my ass. Free does too, but he needs more than that, since he legitimately doesn't work. Sy only makes 26,875 dollars a year, even though he works his ass off to make 100,000 dollars, which he'd be making in capitalism. The 5 others make 17,875 dollars a year, even though they don't work nearly as hard as Sy.

If you really think that sounds fair...I don't even know what to say.
