How is that meta-gaming? The UK isn't going to trust a Left-Wing anti-capitalist America.

But what is Deseret going to do? They probably have 5% the army the USA does, and only can occupy their wild west. You're forcing the USA to include Mexico and California in the alliance to combat you, you're setting us up for a Great War in a really weird way.

Realistically you'd make one alliance, and then your enemy would see this and make one alliance, then you would see that and make another alliance, then your enemy sees that, etc. etc.

Allying like eight countries at once really isn't the way it's done pre-WWI. Sure, after people realize the horrors of war then they can do that to ensure nobody ever destroys Europe/America again, but pre-WWI-like experience people don't ally like that.

However, ever since the Cisplatine war, relations between Argentina and Brazil mostly warmed. Even the South American Naval Arms Race was mostly friendly, as Argentina and Brazil perceived each other as rivals, not as enemies. Our natural resources would be enough to let us borrow European industry to buy our own armament, though Brazil is increasingly modernizing and industrializing, and Patagonia trails it.

I wouldn't call the South American Naval Race friendly.

The idea of the ABC nations was around since even before the arms race.
There was no plans to go to war, but rather just show off.
It wasn't like the Anglo-German dreadnought race or the Cold War.

Maybe we could have a defensive alliance? The American Commonwealth ain't exactly friendly with an anti-capitalist state. Even the Colored Man's Party, the most radical of the three major parties, doesn't really have a problem with market capitalism, just that most of the former slaves in the Commonwealth are basically tied to the land they work through sharecropping and can't really participate in the market.

Also, before I go through the trouble; I'd like to form a military pact with the following nations:
-Texas
-Cuba
-FRCA
-Brazil
-The other guys in Latin America.

I'm thinking that the pact would be something similar to NATO in that if a nation from outside the pact attacks one within the pact, they are to be treated as attacking the whole pact, but I'd rather not have it be dominated by one singular nation.

Seeing as the Hungarian proposal hands over territories that are already actively German possessions to England, Iberia, and Scotland I dearly hope nobody will mind if we safely ignore it.

On the same note: I do really need everyone who's seriously involved in the Frankfurt talks to give me suggestions so I can build a compromise decision. The German and Scottish delegation are both united in deciding that the Congo is Scottish. Beyond that, Germany is adamant that Nigeria go to Denmark, and that her current possessions on the continent will not be given up arbitrarily to some other state.

A suggestion that they will be taking on board is that of the Suez Company owning the Suez Canal, since it's of such strategic importance to all of the European powers.

Micronesia is owned by the Germans at the moment. The FRCA is also conducting several missions in the central-northern pacific. Not sure who else is at the moment.
