Holding a giant portion of the the world's gold reserve, the Swiss economy is highly stable, and if worse comes to worse can always fall back to its ungodly gold reserve. Its banks also holds a large part of the world's dictators' gold. Switzerland is also notable for having the new capital of the United Nations, after the collapse, and destabilization of New York City.

A large number of world corporations are headquartered in Switzerland, most of them fleeing from the United States and the crumbling EU, and taking advantage of the low taxes of the country. This has allowed Switzerland to headquarter a disproportionate number of corporations.

With the sudden massive inflation of both the Euro, and the USD many countries including many in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe decided to adopt the Swiss Franc, famed for its stability as their national currency. This also was combined a massive influx of money from panicked officials, and rich people through the world. To take advantage of the situation, the Swiss decided to accept any client that registers to its banks. Much to the outrage of the collapsing powers, however the Swiss made one condition. Anyone who from there on forth who wished to deposit money in a Swiss bank, must forfeit 10% of it.

The Chinese Revolution allowed the Swiss the gain a gigantic amount of corrupt CCP money, under the original contract. Much to the outrage of China, since the assets were all claimed to be "illegal property". However, the Swiss refused to turn over the money, or the corrupt CCP officials as the Swiss offered the option of all account holders with over 50 million dollars the ability to forfeit 50% of their assets for protection in Switzerland. This allowed a massive influx of money to the banking nation, which it promptly converted to more gold, and foreign loans. The fall of Europe also created a massive migration of university educated students, and large corporations fleeing into Switzerland. They are paid a subsistence wage, and often live at a living standard that is lower than most other Swiss. However, it is still better than most other parts of the world.

That said, your population is very large given that Italy's population now is just shy of 60 million and is barely remaining stable (even accounting for immigration, which really means it's contracting).
I also have trouble believing a protracted conflict in Libya would be good for the Italian economy or that Libyans would accede to major Italian resettlement and essentially an invasion, or that the worst your face would be rocket attacks.
Also, the whole banning Muslims thing is probably not going to work- the rest of Europe would intervene, Muslim countries would object, and it simply isn't practical given Italy's location. It seems like this would translate more into apartheid-like policies in Libya.

I'd also like to hear some backstory about your dictator's rise to power. Was he in the cabinet of a previous government? A general? A random demagogue? Besides that he fought in the war, I don't see what path he took into politics.

Italy also probably shouldn't have carriers. They just aren't really necessary, given the waters the Italian Navy would operate in, and I doubt the money would be seen as worthwhile.
