China and Belgium have something in common?
Wow. That's like.
Blew my mind.
Maybe we can be friends. Maybe. China, when I become independent, can you help me get an Asian colony? I'll put in a good word with Britain for you, maybe convince him to end that whole opium-trade thing.

I'm not yet sure where I stand on this potential Russo-Prussian alliance.

Definitely, I want to remain independent. But at the same time; should I support Austria?

I may need Britain's help/advice.

I will guarantee you that we will leave Hanover alone during our conquests, and the only time conflict will occur is if you try and intervene.

I want to avoid conflict with Britain.

I fear long term repercussions if I allow for a stronger Prussia, such as being forced to join your greater German state.

I won't blame you for such fears. They are reasonable, and by no means can I guarantee you that I will stop short of Austria. However, Fredrick does not want to bring the rest of Europe to war. To put it simply, he's banking on Hanover not to want to commit troops to fight Prussia. In case that is how it rolls out, be assured that we will be more than prepared to defend our borders. If everything goes correctly as well, we'll most certainly use it as an excuse to push West.

Your call.

On that note, I should probably deliver a small address on NPC wars.

1. Don't unrealistically bowl over them. Sure, a professional European force can slaughter, say, the Mapuche/Patagonians if you can get them in a straight up fight, but more closely-matched forces create notable casualties.
2. Don't gloss over the war: if you want to beat an NPC in battle, fine. But explain how you do it.
3. Don't start and end the conquest in the same post: give the world time to respond to your campaign before it is finished (Assuming it is a campaign, and not a single event, like the expansion of your borders out a single province or something)
4. Rapid conquest of "uncivilized" areas is likely to produce guerillas. Yurizlansia, for example, I'm assuming is invading Afghanistan. So expect Afghani tribesmen to harass the occupation. And everybody knows how good they are at doing that...
