Considering my IRL workload, maybe Monday at the earliest. I need to get another post up but I've been a bit busy elsewhere.

Fortunately that lines up pretty well with me so I guess things should work out, thanks!

Hey, so long as you say you're busy then no problem. It's mainly people who join and then disappear without leaving a message that irks me. If you have things to take care of then go ahead and do what you need to do.

That sounds good to me! I'll get some work done on a rather large post, in which Wolfgang gives addresses the people with a speech and outlines his plans for the future of Walsenburg. I guess we'll see, aye?

Any way, I think I found a portrait of Wolfgang's family that fits my head-canon...

Name: Absolom Sandshifter
Birthplace: Dakota Badlands
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Age: 28
Pic/Description:
Occupation: Headhunter, drifter.
Equipment SOGFARI 13" Machete, M1500E 22 bolt-action, one clip, and a hide canteen (filled).

Immunity: Gifted; enhanced perception and environmental resistance, yet suffers from hallucinations and prone to seizers.

Personality: Absolom is a destitute traveler, relying on scavenging, the occasional banditry, or picking up odd jobs to support himself. No job is too rough for him besides the fact the comes from a line of tribal warriors it would be dishonorable to turn a job down. In no way is he civilized, he tries to veer away from any large settlements and often refrains from speaking with individuals. He is scared to build relationships on fear of losing those he loves once again and is often distant with his emotions, yet when he befriends someone, is very loyal.
Skills: Hand-to-hand and melee combat, tracking, and stealth.
Likes: Tracking big game, worshipping the All-maker and his servants, and the occasional night with a courtesan.
Dislikes: Civilization, dishonorable and cowardly acts, other religions, lavish lifestyles.
Fears: Being titled dishonorable, losing people close to him, losing his sanity.
Bio: Born into the tribe of the Ironhides, raised to be a warrior. His father was the tribes First Hunter and his mother a midwife. The seeress foretold that Absolom would one day lead the tribe into victory over the surrounding natives. As he aged, the tribe noticed his keen abilities but also his faults. Absolom would descend into fits of seizers in which would he would speak in tongues, the seeress explained that it was the All-Maker speaking through him. At the age of twelve he overcame his coming of age ritual which included surviving for five days alone, physical hazing, and committing his first sacrifice of a captured tribal enemy. After his father passed away he asserted his position of First Hunter and married the chiefs daughter.

He gained the true respect of his tribe after a jealous fellow hunter left him for dead after a group of buzzers ambushed them. Absolom fought them off and returned to the tribe to take then beat the cowardly hunter. His tribe had seemed on the rise as the battles seemed to be going their way. Tribe upon tribe fell to the Ironhides, many rumors had it that the young Absolom would become the new chief soon enough. Yet on one cold and dreaded day Absolom had left with a small group of hunters after hearing rumor of a large herd of elk moving through the area. This turned out to be false and on their return found their village in smoldering ashes; Absolom ran home to find his pregnant wife slain. The survivors turned away from Absolom and the rest of the tribe split up. He never looked back upon his homeland, but vowed to avenge his tribes name.

From that day on Absolom became a destitute traveler, praying to the All-Maker and his spirit servants to one day bring him glory. He moved south, often taking bounty hunting positions and always being known for bringing back their scalps. His tribal nature pushes him to continue raiding and slaving if possible and often associates himself with groups of slavers and bandits. He doesn't know his purpose and is often morally ambiguous and now his life had led him to Colorado.

I hope you don't mind the little lore I added for the Dakota Badlands, just being tribal territory and all!

As far as I can recall I don't think the Badlands have been touched. In any case it works out well enough.

This is a bit of a change for me, I usually play as some merchantesque type character who relies on leadership and his charisma and is often not able to be trusted. Absolom is a foil, using his fists rather than his words and is loyal if befriended. I shall have a post up sometime tomorrow!

Fucking hell, that took some time to crank out, and it's not even that good.

Whatever. We're still in the setup phase. Plenty of time for improvement.

Lad, it puts what I post to shame so it does. So to me, it's a good post.

Also, if Ver does do the dead expect Locust to have the some sort of stupid comment to make. He's like that. Death of a single person would barely phase him.

Well, it's not one of my posts without someone dying, I suppose.

I mean, it's not my best work. Or, rather the initial version of that post. I edited in some more to give it a bit of flavor.

Yeah. That's fair. I'm more questioning how the three guys are meant to get out of Salida when there's a sniper, and likely, a whole team of people in the town. I mean, Locust has been mostly hiding from them rather than trying to deal with them cause he knows more will just take their place.

Also, the sniper is working with the Dominion, I take it?

As of right now it's one sniper, everyone else seems to be on a smoke break. Kinda reminds me of that one episode of GITS. And yes, Dominion sniper.

Yes, and the Sniper is disposable. Anyone unnamed tends to be disposable.

I actually expect this to fail, but if Wallie actually decides to take the bait and kill his Veronica, then the effect is roughly the same.

It's more to kickstart interactions between the Dominion and PCs. Gives you sort of an idea of what y'all will be dealing with.

Besides, most interactions will be with Dominion agents, rather than Jen herself. Wouldn't make much sense for a villain I'm trying to make smart and to-the-point to put herself in harms way.
