Also, the sniper is working with the Dominion, I take it?
Yes, and the Sniper is disposable. Anyone unnamed tends to be disposable.
I actually expect this to fail, but if Wallie actually decides to take the bait and kill his Veronica, then the effect is roughly the same.
It's more to kickstart interactions between the Dominion and PCs. Gives you sort of an idea of what y'all will be dealing with.

Fair enough then. I just left it with Locust turning round cause anymore and it would have stepped into whether or not Ver is dead or not.
And yeah, most interactions with Dominion agents makes sense from a logical point of view and a logistical point of view. Cover more of just about everywhere using agents rather than having Jen hunt down everyone herself.
Also, I sort of imagine that Locust would be known by name through the Dominion due to him being a pain in the ass from since the Dominion was called the Vultures. I mean, pulling off one man raids on smaller groups for both supplies and the fun of it would get the name around. That and any survivors would have been able to give an idea of what he looks like (well, as much as you can get about a man who wears masks).

Not that that would afford then any kind of mercy if it came down to it, and knowing how bombastic someone like Hugh's morality can be, it would only be a matter of time.

Curious, but what's Jen's take on Mercer, Sera, and the other Aspenites? In terms of influence, they pretty much had nothing in terms of regional power.

Her only real connection from Aspen were the people on the expedition.
That said, would she still kill them for getting in her way? Probably.

Mercer doesn't know Jen really but would probably speak out against the Vultures in general, but changing Colorado for the better isn't on his to-do list. Not too sure how Sera would react. Usually she'd not care too much about the grander scheme of things, but she knows Jen and, considering the Vultures are the reason for her life going down the drain, she might actually be more vocal. Only time will tell.

I hope that's a record to beat and not a trend. We still got some people joining and whatnot, so it should pick up.
