Moar interaction and less chance if PC death in NM.

True it is better for an interaction side of life, but he isn't a massive fan of being in groups (and he wouldn't know anyone is at the base till he gets there). So to him going to NM isn't all that appealing to him. I mean, I'll go there if people would prefer me to, I could think about making it work with him being there.

If you left after the Vulture victory then there would be even less chance of making it. Second, Colorado Springs and the area surrounding it is extremely dangerous and the group there now lost half its people. Going solo would be a good way to end up dead. Raton is pretty much what Aspen was in the first NML: a meeting spot. You can go your own way if you'd like or break off with a smaller group. Plot wise I know that Mercer will be making a trek back into Colorado to search for Sera (or to at least find out what happened to her), so a group may form with him. Others may have their own reasons for doing things, but I'd prefer if we kept it centered around Colorado and the surrounding edges for the time being.

A note to everybody: after talking with someone I feel it best to add an equipment tab under Occupation to the Apps if only that people can keep track of what they got more easily.

Standby for a bit longer. We have a good number but I was gonna allow a few apps to finish and see if anybody else would be returning.

Name:Jack Robinson
Birthplace: Somewhere in Wisconsin
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Age:22
Pic/Description:Jack is around 6 foot 4 inches tall with a runner's build. He has light brown hair and pale blue eyes. His nose has obviously been broken at one time and healed crookedly, leaning to the right side of his face. A deep scar runs across his forehead, down over his right eye and down his chin, ending just under his jaw. Jack wears a long homemade wool coat stained a deep hunters green.

Occupation: Scout

Equipment: A Kar98k rifle. A Bowie knife. Three five round stripper clips and a handful of loose rounds.

Immunity: Full

Personality: Jack is quiet and somewhat uncomfortable around large groups of people. He has a fiery temper, but it takes a while for it show itself.
Skills:Jack can move around relatively quietly, he is crack shot with a rifle.
Likes: Sneaking around, a good beer.
Dislikes: Bandits, infected, traveling with people who make two much noise.
Fears: Deep water, heights

Bio:Jack was born in a small settlement in the north woods of Wisconsin. Throughout his childhood, he learned the fieldcraft that would keep him alive for the rest of his life. For the most part, Jack lived a somewhat decent life. The settlement was far away enough from civilization that it was rarely bothered by bandits, but there was still infected to worry about. A few of Jack friends were killed when they got careless and were taken away to God knows where.

When Jack was around fourteen years old he left the settlement on the first scavenging trip. It was all routine till the group was ambushed be some bandits. Jack and a few other managed to sneak around the raiders and attacked from the rear. This helped give Jack a reputation for scouting jobs. For four more years, he went with the scavengers and acted as a forward scout. Then things changed, the settlement was growing prosperous, and prosperity attracted trouble. Soon the settlement was attacked on almost a monthly basis. Jack decided enough was enough and led a group of fifteen men to attack a known bandit stronghold. The attempt was a disaster and only Jack managed to get away, and with a nasty cut on his head to show for it.

He couldn't stand the thought of going back home to tell fifteen widows why the husbands were dead. So he decided it was better for the village to believe that he had died too. He left Wisconsin with his meager supplies and headed west. He had no idea he was heading for Colorado, but after three years of aimless wandering, he finds himself staring at the awe-inspiring Rocky Mountains, and a land unknown to him

Yeah. You make fair points. As much as he's managed to survive till this point on his own, so him surviving in a frozen wasteland wouldn't be new to him, he would know what's achievable in blizzards. That said he probably stayed in Salida then sort of vanished when it got razed. I could have him meet up with Mercer even though the two won't know each other or have any reason to trust each other.
Locust probably would stay in Colorado, mostly to cause problems for the Vultures as he's just not a huge fan of them at all.

A brief bio for Mercer, since he's become a big part of sorts.

Name: Tyrone Mercer
Birthplace: Los Angeles, California
Ethnicity: African-American
Age: 39
Pic/Description:
Mercer is a large, well-built man standing at just over six feet tall. Rough featured from years of hard work. Coarse dark hair is usually kept in a very close buzz cut and hidden under his bandana. Brown eyes and modestly dark skin. Not so much athletic but has defined muscles, again from years of hard work.

Occupation: Scavenger (formerly)

Immunity: Full

Personality: Antisocial, Brutish, Determined, Dutiful
Skills: Hiking, Scavenging
Likes: the Outdoors, Resting, Safety
Dislikes: Bandits, Lurkers, the Vultures
Fears: Losing his Friends

Bio:
Born to a lower-middle class family in Los Angeles before the Outbreak, Mercer had a somewhat typical childhood. His family was religious (he was not) and he did well enough in school. When Los Angeles was hit on Day Zero, Mercer and his family would travel east to Denver to stay with relatives, being one of the few people to leave the city before quarantine. As the world fell apart Mercer and his family would eventually become assimilated within the former Remnants. At age 18 he would join the Remnants military in a non-combat role. His father would die shortly thereafter of cancer, with his mother following suit a year later. When the Remnants fell apart due to infection, Mercer and his brother would flee, the former arriving in Aspen and the former choosing to continue east towards Kansas. Aspen would become Mercer's home for the next decade or so, him becoming a scavenger and pseudo-leader of the small town. He and his friend, Drew Fanchon, would eventually discover Sera and her mother while scavenging near Limon. Treating her as a niece of sorts (he had no children and never bothered to marry) he was distraught with her disappearance. Fleeing to Raton, New Mexico after the fall of Salida, Mercer plans to head back north to discover the girl's fate.

Name: Locust (real name: Justin Hadsly)
Birthplace: Belfast, Northern Ireland
Ethnicity: Irish
Age: 34
Pic/Description:Standing at around 6"3 tall, this slimly built man covers himself head-toe in clothing. Wearing a faded-brown trench coat and a grey hooded jumper underneath it, with denim jeans that have numerous patches on them as they've been worn through over years. Knee high leather boots that look faded and almost worn through as well. Plus dark grey fingerless gloves showing almost the only bit of skin on the man. He also has a green and white mask on which covers his face, and goggles brought down to cover his eyes. The grey hair he has sometimes shows from under the hood due to it being seemingly uncut for who knows how long.

Occupation: Wanderer, Survivor, Whatever he feels like at the time.
Equipment Customized Sniper Rifle, Revolver, 3 knives carried inside his coat

Immunity: None

Personality: He comes off as friendly and trusting at first, but can be easily angered which could send him into a violent rage. Sometimes.
Skills: Good at keeping quiet, good at scavenging.
Likes: Peace and quiet, the silence before the first shot.
Dislikes: Large clusters of people, the Vultures.
Fears: Losing his guns or his face (his face is the mask).

Bio: Justin was born not in the US, though he moved to America due to his family moving away for certain reasons he doesn't know. He didn't mind moving, he almost always wanted to live in America because it just seemed nicer. He wasn't wrong about it being nicer, but it was also an almost major culture shock to him when he was there. But that didn't last for very long, he had moved not to far from Denver whenever the bio attacks happened. Unluckily for him his father was in Denver at the time of the attacks, so it was pretty much assumed by him and his mother that he had perished. Justin and his mother fled, staying at different places and surviving off whatever they can, they head to one of the safe havens to try and survive.

After surviving at the safe havens for a few years, despite endless attacks from bandits and infected over many years, Justin lives and trains himself in all sorts of ways to survive. His mother had committed suicide after a few years in the safe haven, she never truly stopped grieving for her husband and eventually it consumed her. This, in turn, led Justin to run away from everything. He fled from the safe haven after grabbing as much as he could, he never wanted to think about anything from after he left there.

Surviving until present day by being a nuisance to bandits and even to the Vulture, but never enough to get their full attention somehow, he made a name for himself... Locust. Setting up camp just outside of Denver, he mostly scavenges the outskirts of the city and does the occasional raid on anything passing nearby.

After being invited to Salida just after the siege had begun, Locust was there when the Vultures assaulted again. Though having to find his weapons during the assault, he managed to escape and flee with most of his life intact. He practically vanished from things until it all seemed to calm down for him to emerge and hunt through whatever was left of Salida. Most of his time during winter was spent avoiding trouble due to having to limp almost anywhere, no thanks to having to slightly run on a leg after being shot.

RP Examples: Was in the last one, if that's enough to pass :P

There's a lot of potential plot points going on, especially involving the Dominion.

Btw, Bei, can you rename the "Vultures" to the "Dominion of Denver"?

Fair enough. Also, if you have any major plots in the work could you TG me a brief summary. I have a few ideas but don't want anything to go counter to one another.

Also, where is Thomas (think that was his name)?

I'm not really sure where to fit him in, but I was planning on him being part of the resistance against the Empress.

I might also just have him die, agonized and alone, wondering what mistake he made to end up like this. Filled with regret as he bleeds to death in a pool of his own vomit.

Or, ya know, just say he disappeared.
