All four of those chars are underground, so really it depends on how well you think he could sense any of them.

Wouldn't the Umbrum crystals have an effect on that too?

For the sake of progression, I don't think so. Rache senses people through their emotions, I don't see why the emotions wouldn't remain pure in their expression despite what is drawing them out.

Thank you for an exceptional read tonight.

I'll work up a reply and post it tomorrow. It won't be much. I'm moving Rache off to give Aegis time to feed. I figure Rache would move towards the gathering clouds. Are Chrys or Willow near that? He wouldn't be able to pick up on Brit or Duster very well.

Pretty much that, especially if Chrys or Willow are broadcasting intense emotion (as in the case with the struggle between Willow and his antagonist). Think of emotions as a scent and Rache as a hound.

He's familiar with Chrys and Willow's emotional stank. He's keeping an eye on Duster's but would be pressed to find him unless he emotes strongly. His curiosity towards Pansy makes her ideal to tag. He's experienced Aegis' brand of insanity so finding the Luxan wouldn't be too difficult. Yuna has a bit of him displacing her soul. He needs to sit down and talk to Brit to get a feel for her. He couldn't pick Hurricane out of a lineup, and only recalls Puddinghead because she's vital in Willow's tale.

Hm. Rambling thoughts on my character.

The downside is Rache's inability to match names and appearances to the actual pony. He knows them by their unique minds and emotions. He has issues when discerning one human from another. Pony forms just fuck with his psyche. They further complicate his life by having common words cobbled together as names - was that Cloud Catcher or Cloud Cornucopia? The locations are all a bitch. Unicorns don't live in clouds. They live on the ground. They should live in Groundtown but it's occupied by earth ponies. Where do the unicorns live? Horntown? No. That would be too simple. Rache really wants Willow right now. That's why I have him somewhat eager to find him. Only Willow can ease the daemon's overwhelming confusion.

Gestalt Psychology and the beauty of Gestalt magic was stolen from 40K and warped to fit a niche from an old game. Rache isn't really that powerful yet Rache is extremely powerful. Physically, he can manifest and kick ass. His magic, however, is limited by psychology and his own inability to control things.

Way back in the first few threads: Yoshi heard a moo from above and saw a shadow quickly widening around him. That was all Klaus did. In his panic, Yoshi sincerely believed a cow would land on him. Klaus, being a god, warped those fears into a squeak toy shaped like a cow and harmlessly bounced off the boy's head to teach him humility. Rache doesn't have Klaus' ability to reshape the product of someone's imagination. An actual cow would have flattened Yoshi if Rache were using the magic. Confusion and panic is dangerous in the hands of a daemon, especially if it's the daemon that's confused.

Rache wants to fly into the clouds and shape them into a bunch of daemons, then dispatch the fuckers to all ends of the dimension to track down Hurricane. He would - only he doesn't know what Hurricane feels like. His frustration is growing. He must find Hurricane. He must also find all the pieces, find the seconds, force the leaders and seconds to meet, make sure the seconds can overpower things when the time comes, find a way to get rid of the invasive emotional parasites, and now there's gunpowder to fret over?? Duster isn't helping, the little bastard. He's not supposed to be in the story. Why is he? How does he tie in? What damage is he doing to it?

Rache, being a daemon, isn't much of a free thinker. Can the story unfold differently than Willow told it? NO! NO NO NO NO it WILL NOT because Fritz. It's hasn't occurred to Rache yet that Fritz won't come knocking if they fuck up the timeline.

My Word program recently went apeshit too. It keeps says it's in the middle of downloading a new version of itself, but no matter how good of an online connection it has it always stops it's download and tells me to "connect to the internet to finish."

I've been using WordPad in the meantime. Try actually right-clicking your post and saying "Open in WordPad," it might work.

There's nothing wrong with the idea itself, however, I think it's water Torii has already well tread. Most everyone who knows Torii knows she has anxiety and other issues, and what they believe are possible solutions have almost inevitably already been discussed with her. People don't like to repeat themselves, especially not advice, so I foresee that it may cause backlash tension.

You could perhaps tweak the idea to make it more solution-oriented. Torii already knows what her friends have offered and advised, so how does she go about deciding what path to take? Is she really prepared for the commitment cybernetics take? - They're not something to take lightly or a decision to make on the passing opinion that it would be "cool." It involves chopping away at your organic self to some degree after all (ouchie), and is largely irreversible. Would they really do anything to improve her life overall, or is it just some silly teenage fascination phase that could potentially scar her for life? This could be a good moment for her to face one of her biggest fears, growing up, because considering such questions means she has to look to the future. It could lead her to branch out to other people considering that plenty residents have lived as cyborgs way longer than Marcus - they'd understand the full weight of the decision much better.

Winterfest characters will need to wait. Recapturing what I lost for Groundtown was a stretch. It's weak compared to what I had. Apologies to Prim and Gio.

Edit.

I heard about this.

There was some controversy over casting Johansen because a few people thought it was whitewashing and that they should have cast an Asian actress. In response to this, a group decided to do a small social experiment where they stood on the streets of Tokyo and asked pedestrians to share their thoughts on a picture of Johansen dressed as the character. The reactions were overwhelmingly positive, many remarking that she looked beautiful and perfect for the role. When asked whether or not they found it offensive that she wasn't Asian, most of them said no and looked really confused at the question. Then one guy outright said: "Well, anime characters don't typically look Asian, do they?"

Whether the character herself is supposed to be Asian is fairly important as well, and "Well, anime characters don't typically look Asian, do they?" belies the fact that while Anime might not have characters appear Asian as a stylistic choice, the characters themselves may be supposed to be Asian.

Judging from the name, at least, and the setting, the Major seems to lean Asian descent.

Whether the film will be good is, of course, totally independent of this, but I can see why some fans would be a little pissed at the casting choice. Personally, I would like to see more Asians break out in Hollywood, but it's not like Scarlet Johansen is a terrible actress for the role.
