Sorry guys, but I'll have to post tomorrow. I'm super tired and I don't think I'll have the energy to get a post out tonight. Taking a nap now, but that's just to get through a party.

Hi Cat! The IC was paused for worldbuilding - specifically, fleshing the Burrows out to make them more inviting. Cer is working on transferring the veritable morass of data we produced. :p Meanwhile, you can probably chip in - just search #IWANT in the OOC. The earliest posts with that hashtag/pound sign/octothorpe have the store and park applications, while the remaining posts are our varied interpretations!

IC, I think it's literally still the same day as when you last posted! (Otonako woke Nick, who later headed off to a meeting with Sandy etc. Sandy's group then headed to Ascalon, where they found themselves short of funds for equipment useful to their mission, and hence offered a sidequest to earn money. Currently Nick, Dora, Prim, and Sandy are still working out details, although about to head back if I remember correctly.) I'd guess that it's evening by now.

We'll be moving on shortly.

@Saldinado: when you post for Henry, please have him pay for his clothes/move to the cashier as part of your post so we can finish with Millie's.

Well, watching the IC, waiting for a good opening for my characters, all's good...awesome to see Klaus and Gio back. I may have something up my sleeve, or not. I never had anything up my sleeve, unless I do.

Also, y'all know I love the Brisbys, right? Quaint little coffee shop with an old British couple?

Alright, I'm gonna catch up the thread and unstick/move along characters. I know Prim and Cer were working on starting a collab. I don't think the badger has contributed yet. I'll read up on that story IC and do a short post to advance it so Gio isn't stuck waiting on Cer's shitty schedule.

Volker is away from the desk. NVE hasn't posted. Monique will move Fortu to their apartment, and Charu will grab forms at the desk for Deacon to review. I'll also drop in a Klaus response.

I have way too many characters out, and I'm covering too many. Slo, let's let Thad continue to post, if you don't mind. You guys are carrying it. I'm not really familiar with all Thad's quirks either, so I'm not very comfortable covering him.

We've got several pubs/restaurants already, unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how peeps look at it!)

Orwells, Chaos, Ronald's, Ivory Brasserie, etc. Also tea/coffee shops.

It's up to Cer, but I'd like it if we kept the pubs/restaurants spread out and at a minimum rather than all clustered in downtown/village/market. These establishments are where characters "run into each other" and thus stories can spawn. Too many will have characters spread all over, making it difficult to corral them. That doesn't mean we can't have them, but we need other stuff as well. Clothing, shoes, basic camping supplies, a weaponsmith (blacksmiths aren't weaponsmiths... he won't have a lot of swords, or armor), etc. We're also close to the Wold. If you guys want to create a store run by a centaur or harpy, etc... well, be creative.

The listing hasn't been updating yet. You all can see what's recorded so far here: viewtopic.php?p=29556328#p29556328

Yes, well. :P I rarely describe the Belas' clothing, beyond saying Amanda wears a skirted suit unless she's just bumming around their apartment.

I did decide she only had two suit jackets that were tailored to hide her peacemaker, though, which somewhat limits her choices for wearing in Ascalon. She's gonna have more made, but a) Sandy just blew through their joint credit and b) she's waiting for the results of All Who Wander, since she knows what Sandy is looking for.

Business Name: Four Kings
Business Type: Casino
Name of the person that owns it (or is it city run): Deader
What services does it supply: Entertainment
Where is it located Market District (by the Building)
If you want, describe it: The establishment, although called a casino, only offers poker games. Located in a split-level building formerly housing a tavern, the bar area was turned into the cashier's cage during renovation. The first floor is open to all paying customers from the Building and elsewhere, and contains traditional casino-style poker tables with the characteristic green baize. The second floor, which contained rooms for rent when the building was still a tavern, now hosts private games in each room for a modest hourly fee. There is an annual open high-stakes tournament held in the Four Kings, with prizes of enchanted frogs and deep fried crickets, and Deader itself never misses one.

The second floor also has a small kitchen and lounge area adjacent to the stairs for players to take a break and get some refreshments (pub and finger food, drinks from the vending machines, and such). An unused microphone and sundry other older musical equipment were left behind by the previous owners; these remain unused by Deader.

I've been tossing around the idea of a dry cleaners for awhile due to all the wool, although it has occurred to me that as non-actual-sheep wool the wool from...um...the sheep might not felt or shrink as apparently wool does when machine washed. Those places seem to be combined with tailoring IRL and hence probably run by those with tailoring knowledge...if I ever get around to making it, the proprietor could be in your guild.

@ sheeple ((Cer and the CoOps:) What properties does the "sheep" wool have, in terms of washability etc?

Additionally, I think the best way to "resolve" Kwa'a's story arc is to give her the Hunter treatment, demoting her to an NPC. She really was more fun to make than to play. I would expect her to have stayed in Bielefeld and passed as standard human, meaning that she would have been evacuated along with other ebs and dumped in N. Warnborough. She can meet up with Rmwtyliin occasionally and clean out her apartment; she's moved on from the Building. I can certainly declare all of her powers nerfed by reason of being in Galli, if needed, and that way I can in theory play her tailoring and such occasionally.

If that's approved, I'll happily create a tiny little seamstress business for her or have her join another character's, and of course toss her in the Tailors' Guild. Is bringing her back as an NPC ok? It gives her some resolution, and the mass evacuation is obviously a prime opportunity.

I'd guess some other characters like Kayta are the same, but hey, with people being as active as they are they'll need repairs to clothing, especially after battles.

I'd assume a delicate wash cycle for wool if we're talking washing machines. If not, hand wash & dry.

For Kwa'a, I don't see an issue of her being demoted down to NPC status and the occasional cameo here and there. Regarding her powers, it really won't matter since NPC is NPC and thus powers remain dormant until such time you think the character needs to be used.

Cer has final say of course, just my 2¢.

I think it would clean like any other wool. It retains its color-changing properties even after being shorn... People can wear a woolen sweater and have it shift color to match their moods. But it'll shrink if you put it in a dryer.

A tailors' guild is an excellent idea. The concept has been around for a long while. It makes sense to have it in the Burrows.

If peeps want to know more about guilds, the wiki for them seems pretty accurate: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guild

And really, my pet peeve is that we dropped "Guild" and became "Group" when Gog reemerged. I'd dearly love to go back to the former.
