Stronghold Asia, Nepal

It had taken awhile for the class of new recruits to be gathered, but it had been done. Finally. They were on board the Jupiter, which was flying towards Stronghold Asia right now, prepared to land on the large concrete landing area near the base, that would descend into the ground and take the airship to the hangar. They were likely all confused about everything, even though they knew they were coming here, because, well, this place wasn't like any other place they had seen before. But they wouldn't be confused for much longer, as the Director of the Academy, the former supervillain who was only known as Question, was waiting in the hangar, to personally introduce the place to all of these kids who would be spending the next years of their lives here, one of whom was his own child. If only they all knew what it is that they're getting into, he thought, checking his watch and waiting for the airship to finish its landing.

Apostol stood by himself on the floor, despite being surrounded by other kids, looking around nervously around the room.

Everyone here seems so....... different. Some of them are even scary looking! Why am I even here? What kind of school did Sarah and Donnie transfer me to?! He thought.

Tightening his grip on the left strap his backpack, the same thing happening to his right hand, which grasped the handle of his large, black duffel bag. Doubt was swirling around in his head, fear creeping along his body, leaving a profound chill on his spine. Everything about this place shouted danger to him, but he suppressed that notion by simply shaking his head, his left hand letting go of the strap it help and reached into his pocket. Fingers discovering what he wanted, Apostol gave the piece of paper a firm grip and fished it out of his pocket, revealing itself to be a photograph of him and his foster parents, all of them smiling.

That's right. They only want the best for me, I should put more faith into their decision. This place is going to completely safe, I'll be fine. I won't turn have to into...... him. The New Yorker thought some more, a smile spreading across his lips, his body calming itself down. It was the only thing he could do after all, and therefore, would believe it until proven otherwise. He didn't want to think of all the terrible scenarios that could be ahead.

He was safe now and that's all that mattered.

Benson was keeping to himself, silently observing everyone and taking mental notes for things that might be useful to him later. There's a wider variety of people here than I assumed originally... he thought. Time to see who's the best one to partner up with if I want to survive this place.

Honor, however, was more outgoing. Making small talk with the others, almost. She turned to Apostol, noticing how nervous he looked. "What's wrong? You look like your dog died," she commented. "I'm Ronan by the way. Well, Honor Ronan. But if you call me Honor, I'll make sure you never do it again. Just call me Ronan, alright?"

Apostol was caught off guard, who stepped back with surprise from the sudden intrusion of his personal time, having been so focused on the picture in his hand. His eyes snapped to her, mouth agape. The New Yorker gave a quick up and down glance, before relaxing a bit. In his head, he concluded that if she was dangerous enough to carry out that threat, him would surely come out. He didn't want to take any chance of that. With a nod, he responded to her order.

"I-I'm Apostol...... N-Nice to meet you, Ronan." Replied Apostol, his voice shaky and quiet.

"And nothing's wrong...... I.... I.... I'm just a tad bit nervous coming here. I don't know where we're going, not to mention I had to leave all my friends before the end of school year, as a senior too...."

"I was actually calming down when you walked up to me..... A-And this is what I was using to do so." Continued Apostol, before turning the picture of him and his foster parents around to show Honor.

Honor examined the picture before frowning briefly, remembering her own parents. She quickly blocked the thought from her mind and let a smile cross her face. "Well, Apostol, here's some advice. Don't sweat losing friends, because they probably weren't really your friends in the first place," she said, speaking based on her own experience. "Moushiwake gozaimasen," she apologized in Japanese. "I don't mean to say you don't have friends, I'm just speaking from my own experience."

He probably thinks I'm some cynical loser now... she thought, blushing just a tiny bit at her own awkwardness.

Mila stood towards the back of the crowd, trying not to interact with the students. She had her backpack on and her duffle bag in front of her. She looked around at all the other kids around her, trying to analyze the way people talked, walked, and their posture among other things. Mostly everyone her looks weak, but I should know better than anyone that I can’t judge the book by its cover.

Mila went into her backpack and pulled out her MP3 player, and started listening to some classical music. She sat down on the cold floor and closed her eyes, focusing only on the music playing in her ears. This orientation session needs to end quickly. Its been months since I’ve slept in an actual bed and I want to end that streak today.

"Even if they were just pretending to be my friends, I would have nevertheless been happy..... They, along with my foster parents, helped me get over my childhood. Taught me that there's more than hate and darkness on this world, that I'm not alone." Replied Apostol, the smile that he had lost earlier returning, albeit a lot smaller, closer to that of a sad smile. He would let a small amount of time pass before resuming speaking. Clearing his throat, he straightened up a bit and looked at Honor. In as sincere voice as he can, said the following.

"And I'm sorry if I alienated you in anyway by bringing up such small problems... I didn't mean to. If I did, I deeply apologize." Added Apostol, putting away the picture.

He then gave a gentle smile, extending out his left hand towards her as a sign of good will. "I don't know if we can, but I hope that we become friends."

Ray sat back towards the very end of the gathering area, minding to himself, hoping that nobody would notice him, as he awkwardly shuffled around the room, absently sipping on a water bottle. Honestly, he hated that he had been forced into this. If he hadn't f*cked up in Dallas, he wouldn't be in this mess anyway. But, that, was a situation to discuss in one's head, another time. He kicked his shoe into the floor, accidentally scuffing the fine leather.

"Dammit...," He whispered. Hell, he didn't even know where he was going. He picked up his backpack with his spare set of clothes, and waked over to a girl sitting down, relaxing.

He awkwardly waived, and began speaking, saying, "Hey...umm....do you know where they're taking us? I have no clue...." Of course, as soon as he spoke, he realized, that she was listening to music. "Oh...uh sorry. Didn't mean to bother you."

Mila felt that someone was near here, and open her eyes for confirmation. She looked up to a guy with black hair, who looked like he was about her age. But, she noticed that something seemed a little... off about him. She thought about just ignoring him, but knew that at some point she would have to interact with other students here. Now is as good as anytime to talk to someone.

Mila took out her headphones, stood up, and faced the teen near her, looking him straight into the eyes.

"My name is Mila Volkov, nice to make your acquaintance," she told him in a Russian accent holding out her hand, signaling for him to shake it. Her face had a blank look, hiding any emotions, but her eyes were staring intensely at the boy infront of her, trying to decide whether this guy could be strong enough to become her ally.

"Uhhh....Hi! I'm Ray. Ray Garvison. Nice to meet you too. Do you have any clue where we're headed? I mean, they kinda didn't tell me. Heck, I was in a cage until a few hours ago. Anyways...."

He swallowed awkwardly, sure he was behaving like an absolute idiot. I mean, human interaction was never his specialty anyway. It was never a good idea, to try to connect to someone, when there was always that odd chance said person would end up as his lunch.

"Do you know where they're taking us?" He continued grinning, painfully aware of his terrible Boston accent, his wild hair, occasionally drifting into his vision.

Mila stared at Ray as he was talking to her, analyzing everything he said and did. His accent means hes from New England area in the United States. He is definitely an awkward person, but someone thought he was dangerous enough to lock him away in a cage. However, when he smiles, some might even say he is cute, in a graceless, clusmly way.

After Ray asked his question for the second time, Mila smirked at him before answering, "We are headed to the Academy it would seem like. I believe its somewhere in somewhere in South Asia, but I do not know for sure." Mila then took about a half-step closer to Ray and crossed her arms beneath her chest.

"So Mr. Ray, what abilities do you bring to the academy?"

While others might be homesick, she didn't miss her life in Massachusetts Bay at all. If anything, she was ready for this new adventure, wherever it led her to.

"I think we're landing now," she added, as the massive airship touched down with the concrete landing zone, and the ground began to descend beneath them, as the area turned into one big elevator.

Say something cool!, He thought, trying not to make a fool out of himself, again. The girl obviously meant business, and he didn't want to make a bad impression on his future peers, not on the very first day, at least.

"Oh, thank you. Would've been nice for them to tell us the exact location, but I'll take what I can get. As for what I do...."

Ray visibly squirmed, made uncomfortable by the question he'd been trying to avoid his entire life.

"Whenever I get physically or mentally hurt, I.....I lose control....I have a semi-liquid parasite that lives within me. Whenever I get hurt, the parasite comes out of my bod, and surrounds me, turning me into a raving, psychotic, unkillable monster. I...I have no control over it...I've done horrible things...that I don't even want to live with. I...I'm sorry. I'll go now, if you want me to. "

As he heard the landing docks engage, Ray suddenly turned to the front, a grin on his face.

He looked over his shoulder, at Mila, smiling.

"I guess we're here now. It was nice to meet you! "

What a weird guy. One moment it looks like he is going to cry and the next he has a grin on his face. But, his power can be very useful, if im nowhere near him when he uses it of course. "It was interesting meeting you Mr. Ray," Mila said to him as she picked up her duffle bag and started following the crowd outside.

The first thing she wanted to of course was get some weapons. She left all of her guns at her temporary residence back in Siberia, and she felt naked and vulnerable without them. Of course, she assumed, that a place that has enough money to purchase a huge aircraft, must have a well loaded weaponry. Then, she just wanted to take a nap. Running from the Russian government was hard work, and living in Siberia with no money was even harder. Mila wanted to sleep in a real bed, then eat a real meal for the first time this month.

Meanwhile, a man walked into the room who was clad in all black, in what looked like a kind of combat uniform. "The Director is ready to see all of you. Please follow me to the hangar."

"Oh is that so?" Replied the Bulgarian-American, looking around again, the movement of the area palpable from the floor alone. He then gave a glance towards his and Honor's hands, still clasped in a handshake.

Blushing, Apostol started to become nervous again, coughing to get Honor's attention. "U-Ummmm, Ronan. Yo-You're still holding my hand, can you let go for now?"

Honor quickly pulled back her hand, her face reddening. "Oh... Uh... Yeah, sorry about that," she blurted out, suddenly stuttering. She shook her hair to make some of it cover her cheeks, hoping he didn't notice her blushing.

Meanwhile, a man walked into the room who was clad in all black, in what looked like a kind of combat uniform. "The Director is ready to see all of you. Please follow me to the hangar."

Ray gulped air out of anxiety, as he slowly walked to the front, descending behind the rest of the students, in tow. He just hoped one thing, that they wouldn't try to hurt him. Because God help them, if they do.

"I-It's okay." Reassured Apostol with a smile, before turning attention to the man that had just walked into the room, his blush disappearing. A militaristic aura or feeling around the man, Apostol just got more nervous, his thoughts coming back to what came ahead. Concern now bubbled from his calmed thoughts, afraid of the future.

Is this a military school or something?..... If it is..... I'd be no good here. I'm not exactly soldier material.

But the shy, meek boy could only nod, afraid of incurring the man's wrath. Like the others, he fell in line, his backpack secured on his back and duffel bag carried by his non-dominant right hand. He did his best to dispel his growing sensation of danger, which caused him repeat his mantra for all the times that were similar.

Everything's going to be fine. Everything's going to be fine. Everything's going to be fine. Everything's going to be fine. Repeated Apostol in his head, but not all of it would be contained, whispering the five words to himself quietly.

"Everything's going to fine."

"Ktchhhhhh Fwhooooooh"

Hramn finally able to grasp for air for the first time since he's aboard on the Jupiter, and he took a very long one for it. His respirator isn't very pleasant to use during an air trip like this, since it's sensitive towards the air pressure difference, and unlike regular noses that only cause him to have very unpleasant pain on the ear, he literally choking to death.

Well it's not just that. He was nervous all the time to the whole situation and keep taking short breath instead a calm, regulated one. Now, he just embarrassed he has to spend the whole trip in the back of the airship tinkering his respirator trying to stay alive while other kids all around him looking professional and ready to kill.

So much for a start as a super-villain, he thought to himself.

"Everything's going to fine."

Hearing the order, an Image of his master flashes in his eyes, subconsciously telling him to do exactly what he was being told to without hesitation. So like most of others kids, he fell in line, just much faster, and only after being on the line he feel his own thought and consciousness back. He didn't realized this, of course.

What he did realize is a boy in front him is keep saying "Everything's going to fine" like a mantra, and he looks extremely nervous about the whole thing. It's not like Hramn isn't nervous himself, he can crap his pants for all the things new here, but the kid in front of him looked like he will explode literally for it.

Wait, will he? His master does warn him that people enrolled to this academy isn't normal and have powers and stuff. This thought start to fill his head. Will he actually explode? Hramn is standing just behind this kid, so no matter what he did, he will still on the radius. He also can't turn himself to gas, that'll just make the explosion bigger than it'll should. Panicked, he take a step back and try to tap to the kid's shoulder.

"H..hey, you're okay? You look really jumpy there...you won't explode, right?

"E-Explode?!" Incredulously said Apostol as silently as he could, turning behind him after feeling a tap on his shoulder. The tap had caused him to jump, panic mixing with his current set of emotions because of the question. After all, why would he just explode? As silly as it sounded, for all he knew, that could happen, yet the reason as to why never came to him. While there has been cases where people spontaneously combusted, he doesn't that his current situation would qualify him to do that and he didn't have any form explosive on him, not that he would need or bring them with him.

He vigorously shook his head towards the boy. "N-No...... Wh-Why would I do that? And I'm just jumpy because I don't what kind of school this is..... That man in the uniform isn't really helping me relax, just as long as I'm not going to be in sort of danger, I-I'll be fine.."

Hramn took a long breath, that's a relief. He may be still be able to explode, but it's seems that he won't do it subconsciously, or at least won't after Hramn asks it. Still, it does makes it feels a bit awkward for him. After all, asking people if they will be exploding hazard material isn't a very polite interaction. He let his panic drive his mind and ends up screwing him more in his first day at his first school. On the brighter side though, it's always better to be safe than blown to bits.

Hramn does took a curious look though when he said he doesn't know what kind of school is this. Isn't this school supposed to be super-villain thingy only? His master told him that the Academy were supposed to be a top secret to the public and only known in the super-villain community before he order Hramn to enroll. So how did anyone enroll without knowing what is it?

Well, even if Hramn does knows why, it won't matter. He's here after all, and he will be his school-mate no matter what. So he guessed to just let it go and do a better impression to him than the first one. He's bound to interact with other someway or another, so why not now?

"Sorry, I just nervous too. I was panicking when I ask that, so I guess that made it both of us." Hramn said to the boy before lending his hand, "I'm Hramn, by the way..."

As the students descended down a corridor, the man in the military clothing stopped at a large blast door and entered a combination of numbers on a keypad, making the doors slide open to reveal a massive hangar. There was another airship there among other things, such as aircraft and ground vehicles. "The Director will see you," the soldier stated simply, nodding towards the Asian man who was wearing a black shirt and suit, talking with a couple other soldiers.

Austin Payne was shocked that nobody had seen him yet, or even heard him for that matter. He was so light on his feet, that a gust of wind could have taken him away. Looking around, he watched as all the seriously dedicated, the seriously nervous and the seriously normal students fall into his subconscious categories of villainy. He could tell who meant business, and who knew next to nothing about the academy. He instantly knew not to mess with Ray, he'd overheard him talking to Mila about his abilities.

"Definitely don't get on his bad side." he whispered to himself.

Not quite sure where they were going, he plonked himself at the back of the line and followed the others. Getting a lot of attention was at the bottom of his to-do list, and it would stay there. Once they had reached the door, he slumped onto a wall and watched as the military guy tapped some numbers on a keypad. He looked in from behind the others, shocked by the size of the place.

Apostol calmed down a bit and shook his hand.

".... I-I'm uhh.... Apostol... Nice to meet you." Replied Apostol in turn, letting go of Hramn's hand after introducing himself. It was at that point that he noticed the gas mask looking apparatus over his mouth, staring at it. A second later, he catches himself continuing to stare, quickly turning away to from the boy behind him.

It's rude to stare at people. Was all he could think of, as his previous worries drained away due to the rather normal interaction for him. Although now, he was a bit curious or rather somewhat surprised, because his comparing all his first days of school, only one person would approach him. Meeting new people would be up to him after that, and his attempts were hampered by his personality.

Upon seeing this, Apostol's eyes goes wide.

What the heck is this place? Is this really even a school? If so, what the hell is this kind of school? Why does this place has its own military style hangar? The vehicles?........ Where did I end up in? Thought the Bulgarian-American boy, fighting the urge to break away from the line and run away as fast as he could. Scenarios now formed in his head, as to what would happen if he did. So, Apostol could only give a small, nervous laugh at the whole sight.

"W-Wo-Wow....... This place sure is amazing."
