Karl's speed took many buy surprise. It wasn't anything super-powered, but he wasn't a slowcoach either: he could certainly, for example, catch up with the large group of students heading gods knew were.
"Where's everyone going?" He asked, only a bit behind. "You know, I was enitially sympathetic to anyone trying to bring down this place. I'm generally not sympathetic to people who want to lock me in a room though."

Milo and X reacted with superhumanly fast reactions, leaping out of the way, and X pulled back his bow and fired an explosive arrow in Apostol's direction. Both of them activated the cloaking on their armor, making them seemingly disappear into the air along with their weapons.

"Does your normal form attract girls too?" chuckled Honor, wrapping her arm around Violet's shoulder. "Cause it might be having an effect on me right now," she blurted out, blushing a little. She's helped me more than Hayate... What if she's the one and I needed to get my heart broken by Hayate before I could see?

Gabriel stopped in front of their room, leaning on the wall. "You don't know what you're getting into. I'm only going to put you in danger, you don't want to hang around me to be honest. I don't even know who I really am or what my real name is..."

Coilin flicked her shoulder lightly. "Save the threatening with the scary eyes for the two intruders in the base." he said, and then looked at Anton. "By the way, there's two of them. Took me a minute... that's why I was quiet."

He nodded, blinking, trying to keep a track of the two invaders while talking. It was almost exhausting.

She snapped back, her hand instinctively flying to the hilt of one of her blades.

Coilin raised his hands, backing off. "I apologize."

What's wrong, Raven? he asked her telepathically.

Anton nodded as he listened. Coilin had an impressive range, but if he needed total concentration then it would make the most sense to get him into position before he started. As Coilin brought up the mental link, Anton froze for a moment. Although his symbiote recommended the communication, Anton's paranoia prevented him from giving it any serious though. "If you wish to, fine, but I've had some…bad experiences with telepathy. I'd rather not relive them during this mission."

Anton took note of the distorted sphere that surrounded the apple, allowing it to go forward and away from James. Yes, this was definitely something that needed to be studied. But now was not the place nor the time. Thinking back to the plan, the charge could work if he could put a time bubble around energy, and if he could change it quickly.

"Can you put the time bubble around energy? And how fast can you change direction?"

He felt the symbiote enter his mind. Sorry Anton. It appears I mistook her for a different student. Her powers are as stated: she will be invaluable to taking back the security room.

Anton sighed, a little annoyed by the mixup. "Alright, so I have a plan. Marissa will open the security room, which will no doubt be locked and guarded. Raven, you will move in to fight, back up by James and myself. Try to leave one or two for us, ok?" He smiled, then continued. "After that, Coilin will try to locate the intruders, as well as see what happened to the power. Marissa and I will retake security controls with James help, and Raven can enter the fray as soon as we know where the enemy is" Turning to the crippled boy, Anton said "When you find the intruders, do what you will. I leave the decision of alerting the others immediately or assaulting these interlopers minds up to you. Just tell us."

"You may ask questions on the way. We must hurry." With that, he turned and made his way to the control room.

James replies "In fact, I can use the bubble around energy. However, the downside is that it's more unstable and more difficult to control, the longer I hold the sphere in place, the more likely that it is to escape it and the more energy that I expend. And as for how fast I can change direction? That shouldn't be a problem, I'm wicked fast at doing that." He nods in agreement at Anton's plan, saying something about how well it was designed and calmly follows after Anton, prepared for anything that the group might face. James briefly glances at Raven's eyes, and how utterly cold and ruthless they looked, and almost shivered with terror at the utter lack of anything positive. He quickly tries to forget about it and contiunes to the control room with the others.

Coilin followed her quickly, frowning. He'd caught the last bit of her thoughts, and knew what she was reliving at that moment. He was going to have to work with her on that, a pawn that went into a flashback whenever she was touched was not a good pawn.

"Same... I know there's only two, by the way. But no idea where they are." he said, starting to go faster.

Raven... I know you're not fine... he sent her lightly.

Anton turned to the pale girl, whose flippant tones irritated him slightly. Didn't she know he was trying to save them all? Regardless, he kept his feelings internalized. The HUD brought her up, and he read through her abilities. Animal morphing, wind and weapon summoning, and enhanced condition would lend themselves well if they encountered resistance in the control room, but still didn't help solve the problem of no power. Though perhaps he had missed something.

"Well Raven, what can you do?" He asked plainly. He still had to act like he knew nothing about them, and maybe she did have something he could work with that the application didn't tell him.

Anton picked up James question. Extending a quick hand, Anton introduced himself. "As I said before, my name is Anton, and I'm trying to figure out a way to bring back the security systems." James seemed very intriguing, especially his powers. How can he manipulate time? How is that possible? It deserved to be studied to say the least.

"Control time? How precise is that control? Could you, for example, run a single charge forward and backward in time to produce a charge?" Anton doubted it'd work if with precise controls, but a bad idea is better than no idea.

Anton nodded. "Confrontations are fine. Let's just redirect them towards the enemy." He thought for a moment about Coilin, intrigued by the idea of clairvoyance. This power also required further study. "Coilin, how far is the range on your telepathic abilities? Can they sense down in the basement where the power level is?" If it was possible, he'd try to get power back on, but to do that he'd need to determine if the power was cut by friend or foe.

The worst pain she had ever, ever known.

Help

Please

Someone help me

They're hurting me, please help me

Make them stop!!!!!
"No questions at all," she said, dropping her hands back down to her sides and running again.

Okay.

You're right.

I'm not fine! But I haven't been fine in a good amount of years so it's not as if this is any bloody worse than it ever is!

A couple of blades hit their targets, at least according to the blood that suddenly appeared on the ground, and the blood seemed to trail away until X leapt through the wall and landed in one of the empty rooms. Milo ducked and rolled, reaching to his waist and picking up an Uzi. He fired suppression shots, still backing up down the hall towards the elevator.

Honor kept silent, wondering if she had made the right move. "Just forget I said anything," she muttered. She didn't need any more heartbreak today, and she had a feeling that she shouldn't have said anything.

"I just don't want to risk seeing you dead," admitted Gabriel. "I have too many enemies around here but I'm stuck here anyway. You've only known me for a day and someone's already tried to kill you..."

... Raven, I can help you. Just... can you hold it back for right now, please? We need utter focus for this, our lives depend on it.

You're my first friend, okay? I'm worried for you, for your mental and physical health. Right now though... I think the physical health is in a little more danger than the mental...
Coilin said, mentally cringing at calling her a friend.

Because he didn't mean it.

Right?

Violet took a deep breath and closed her eyes. I need to do something... Anything. Think. When she opened her eyes, she leaned forward and softly pressed her lips against hers. Much to her surprise it felt...nice. After a few seconds, she pulled away and blushed brightly. "Y-you don't need to say anything... I know my mouth tastes like ash. It's natural..."

He sighed and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close to him. "Listen to me Gabriel." he whispered into her ear. "Nothing could hurt more than the pain I have inside. My first lover... She is dead." He gulped, holding back tears. "I couldn't control my abilities then. She was a mortal. When I kissed her... She died on contact."

"Well isn't this great" Allison muttered. This whole thing had been one big trap and she had fallen for it. Worse she was effectively useless right now seeing as her fighting abilities were pretty useless. She had survived living on the streets by using her powers to avoid fights not start them. About the only use she would have right now was if they captured the intruders. maybe she could use her powers to get them to tell her who sent them and from where. It would make her look good to the higher ups and no doubt win her some respect in the student body.

"Sir" she said walking over to Question. "May I suggest we capture at least one alive and allow me to interrogate them so we can figure out who they are, who sent them, and from where."

Later! Later... Coilin responded, frowning. Let's get this control room thing over with, and then we can communicate as much as possible as you hunt down those two intruders. And hopefully kill them in... wonderful ways.

Honor's eyes widened and she had an almost shocked look on her face but it was replaced by a wide smile. "Don't worry about it, it's fine," she laughed, suddenly looking visibly happier and more energetic. So... Today isn't all bad.

"If you really want to risk your life for me, I'm not going to stop you," Gabriel said eventually. "I know for a fact that I don't have to worry about getting hurt by your abilities... Mainly because I used to have the same ones, only opposite, since I was an angel."

"We already know who they are and I know what they want, the hard part is stopping them from getting it," Question said. "They're clones that we created awhile ago who are coming back to look for someone else like them. Two people actually. And they aren't going to get them."

Right. Right, she thought firmly.

Focus on the operation at hand.

All thoughts on the target...

Her running became smoother, easier. She was more smoke on the breeze than a human being, now. A shadow at midnight.

After all the students managed to get out of the assembly room, Zayne decided that his help could have been used in taking back the control room so he follow Anton and his group. He still remained silent as he didn't want to give much information about himself.
I believe that madness can find more madness, and that every ounce of madness has a spark of truth. And truth, as you know, has a way of depressing people who don't want to find it.

No one is 100% honest... We all keep 20% of the truth from the world, to protect ourselves & sometimes others.

Drawing her sword, Hayate did her best to deflect the shots away from her as she backed away herself into cover, the rate of fire overcoming her. While a some missed, some were deflected, at least a third of the shots were barely deflected, but instead grazed her body. Luckily, Hayate managed to get into cover, her wounds stinging with pain, while some even bled a little. So in response to this, Hayate summoned more swords, this time forming them into a golem and ordering them to round the corner.

As soon as they did, Apostol came to. Rather than his usual self, Danger Reaction had activated, his expressionless face now looking round. Finally finishing to scan his surroundings, Apostol grasped at the remaining Makarov PM in his hand and popped around the corner, firing back with his pistol. Unlike before, these were aimed to kill, the sight of his weapon right on the upper chest area of Milo.

"Apostol, catch!" Shouted Hayate, who summoned a throwing knife and tossed it to Apostol, who didn't even look away and simple caught it.

Locked on to his intended target, Apostol next threw the knife, hoping to his the man's gun hand.
