James sighs. Looks like it was time to take action. He activates his time powers and speeds to where the others are and finds Collin and the others. A boy in a wheelchair huh? This place is weird Reluctantly, James says "Oh hello there. Thought I might follow you fellows to wherever you're going. Sorry I'm late, I kinda zoned out and forgot that I could escape. So, what're you doing right now?"

When he first arrived, he thought he'd be given a briefing, maybe a mission. He thought maybe he'd be able to talk to other people, make allies like the symbiote suggested. But once he entered, it was clear this wasn't the case. Soon heavy metal blast doors sealed the room, leaving most of the students and staff trapped inside. Soon a robotic voice filled the room, demanding two individuals, then vanished off screen.

Anton cursed himself. How could leave his guard down?! Immediately, he began forming a plan to get himself out of there. He stepped over to one of the doors, and begun scanning it for weak points. The scan revealed what he had already suspected - no weak points detected. That meant bashing the door was out.

If he couldn't go through, what about around? People here could teleport, what if they started ferrying people to the other side? As if in response, he saw one girl grab another and warp away, while another girl wrapped herself around a guy who began to disappear much like Violet. Violet! Of Course! She could get him out! He looked around wildly…and couldn't find her anywhere. Figures.

Well, if they couldn't brute force it open, and they couldn't warp around it, he'd just have to open it. He scanned the door, looking for a way to get it open. If he could send the tendrils of the symbiote under it, maybe he could prop it open like a jack? Unfortunatly there was a flaw. There was a seal created by the lock that prevented just that. So he'd have to disable the lock. As he scanned it, he realized that trying a manual override maybe be too risky. Perhaps a student could hack it?

He searched the student records, looking for someone who'd fit the bill. Finally he found one Marissa Diaz, a girl with the ability to control most every cyber devices. She'd do nicely.

Ignoring the panic that seemed to be rising, Anton tapped Marissa on the shoulder. "Excuse me, but I believe I can use your services. Follow me please." When they arrived at the door, Anton explained the nature of the problem. But as soon as he mentioned the lock was computer controlled, a wide smile broke out on Marissa's face and she began hacking it. Mere seconds later, the seal retracted, but the door remained down. Not surprising. The intruders or staff must have put the area on lockdown.

Giving a quick thanks to Marissa, Anton closed his eyes, allowing the symbiote to encase him in armor. He then reached his hands down towards the door, sending white techno-organic tendrils towards it. Once they were under, he moved it inch by inch, until finally it was open completely. From here, a new tendril appeared from his chest, forming into a plasma blaster. He fired a beam at the seam of the door, welding the door open. Finally, he withdrew, tendrils back, and admired his handiwork. It wasn't going to win any design awards, but it'd hold.

Turning back to the students and staff, he barked "Doors open! Move and find the intruders." As Marissa began to leave, Anton held out his hand. "Not you. I need your help once again. The students will keep the guys busy. We are retaking the castle."

The two of them ran towards the command center. As he did so, Anton smiled under his mask. He had assumed control. He was becoming an Alpha. And soon, he'd save the school.

"Finally!" Raven snapped. "Took you long enough. Coilin!" She turned to the boy in the wheelchair.

"Got any bright ideas?"

Coilin nodded at her. "This man I'm hurrying down the hall with, and his accomplice as well, are going to go take back security. For now, I'm following to help. Wanna come!?" he said, as he rolled past her to follow Anton and Marissa.

The door is open, the sudden absence of the power draw indicated as much. If I can get to the security systems then I can assist in the removal of the intruders. Following more circuits to the main power systems was a breeze. Then just finding the right line to follow was simple and bam, a security outlet was accessible. Leading right into a computer mainframe. Which had to have a USB port or some other output. As Machina began searching harder he started to memorize some of the schematics and info flowing about. Eventually an empty printer cable was all Machina needed to escape the system. Machina popped out right behind two heavily armored men, who seemed to be guarding the door. It was an ominous sight and likely bad.
"Hello Boys, ready for an Electrifying experience?"
"Huh?" the brute gawked
"I see that some of you are not keeping current" Machina teased as he sucker punch the man in the face, electricity flying. Machina looked proudly at the brunt hole in the man's skull. And begin fighting the other. Soon both men were lying on the ground, the second with considerable arc burns and scars. But on the first man, where there should have been a burnt chunk of lost face, there was a rapidly closing hole. Machina had seen this before somewhere, but where? Suddenly it came to him, Montana.
"No nononono. NO!!" Machina barely shouted before his mind lost stability.
"They'll never get me back, never!!" Machina shouted as he went into a blind rage, fists flying electricity quickly being lost to the semi-constant arcs flying off of his body. Machina was shaking as he fell to ground writhing in agony, out of power and out of his mind. His breathing shallow and his twitches erratic.
The brutes stood over his crumpled form.
"Well that was easy" one said
But Machina barely heard him over the roar of his madness, his mind blindly rebelling at the thought of more tests in Montana. The last thing Machina saw before he passed out where his shaking hands, writhing like the tentacles of some horrid beast.

The unwanted thought at first made her skid to a halt, reeling in surprise. Some memory she'd repressed, perhaps? No, she remembered every detail of her life before...

Oh, of course it was Coilin.

Thanks... she thought. I think.

Then she pushed one foot off the ground and was back running again.

Anton Greaves
Before they took off, Anton looked to Marissa. "I need the building schematics. Can you get that from the computer on my arm?" he asked, extending his arm which had formed large rectangle with a display shining over it.

She rolled her eyes. "Please. I took down a government, I can get you a map." After a few moments, the symbiote had downloaded a complete version of the building schematics. Anton whistled, impressed both by Marissa's speed and the size of the school. It was much bigger than he had expected. "Well, we'll be putting those skills to the test soon enough.
Free Empire of the Low Isles wrote:Coilin rolled up to Anton, nodding. "Nice work. I was about to do something similar, but you beat me to is. Anyway, what's this about 'retaking the castle'?" he asked, making sure he could keep up with the other two people.

Anton looked over to his right, nodding at the wheelchair-bound man to acknowledge his thanks. Anton required no one's attention or appreciation, but that didn't mean he was against hearing it. Before he spoke, Anton pulled up the class roster, looking at it in his HUD. His name was Coilin, a telepath with limited telekinetic abilities. Not what he wanted for a tech ops, but nevertheless important to scan for enemies who were obviously using advanced stealth tech. Anton also made sure his mind was shielded. He didn't want people to have a peak in his mind without his say so.

"Retaking the castle? Simple. It's clear that our security has been compromised. The cameras didn't alert of us the enemies, and despite there being multiple counter measures hidden in the walls of this facility, there's no sign of a struggle. No bullet holes, dents, or scorch marks anywhere. Not even broken machinery or jammed deploy. Nothing has been activated." As the group passed into the next hall, Anton gestured to the pristine halls.

"So what we need to do is break in, and reestablish control of the security systems. With Marissa here, it shouldn't take long." As soon as he spoke, the lights in the hall went out, plunging the school into darkness. Soon, red emergency lights turned on, wanly lighting the way forward. Someone had cut power. This made Anton's life a bit more difficult.

But it was clear that he had help. Two more people had joined them. Anton stopped and looked back at them.

"Ok listen up. The control room is close by, but without power it won't help too much, so I need you all to tell me your powers so I can think of a way to help this school." Raising a hand, he let the symbiote make twisting tendrils around his hand. "I can control this suit of liquid metal. Oh, and I'm Anton." He could just as easily read their files, but he didn't want people to know he had those yet.

He then looked at James.

Coilin nodded. "Coilin MacAengus, telepath, telekinetic, and clairvoyant. Nice to meet you. And don't mind my friend, Raven, she's just naturally confrontational." he said, smiling.

He then looked at James.

Arstotzkas wrote:

"Listen to this guy, James. He's the one in charge." Coilin said, gesturing to Anton.

D-did he say 'friend'?

She slipped her mask on quickly. When she wore her mask... nobody could see if she was crying.

All my friends are dead. I don't--I don't want to lose anyone else.

X and Milo regained consciousness to find Jazz and the others gone, and X angrily stood up and punched the wall, his fist going through the metal easily. "This is why you don't make small talk in combat!" he shouted, turning angrily to Milo, before cursing him out in Chinese. "And keep your awareness up! You should have seen the attacker."

"I didn't see her because I didn't think it was possible to curve a bullet around a door like that," Milo snapped back, getting up. "It is what it is. Let's worry about getting Gabriel later, and get IN-3 and IN-8 first. Gabriel is an afterthought anyway, we came for them."

"For a perfectionist, you sure ruined our chance of getting all the goals done," X muttered, punching another hole in the wall. "Let's get the power back on first. We need the power on to make an escape through the hangar. Then we find who we came for."

Honor smiled softly. "That's nothing to be ashamed of," she said, trying to be comforting. "I mean, half of us at the school are thieves and murderers, being a succubus isn't all that bad in comparison."

"Yeah but don't even think of messing with him about it," Gabriel warned. "He doesn't look strong but he has the power to subdue the abilities of others, and his men are better armed then they look. I underestimated him and his men and ended up in that cell because of it."

Anton turned to the pale girl, whose flippant tones irritated him slightly. Didn't she know he was trying to save them all? Regardless, he kept his feelings internalized. The HUD brought her up, and he read through her abilities. Animal morphing, wind and weapon summoning, and enhanced condition would lend themselves well if they encountered resistance in the control room, but still didn't help solve the problem of no power. Though perhaps he had missed something.

"Well Raven, what can you do?" He asked plainly. He still had to act like he knew nothing about them, and maybe she did have something he could work with that the application didn't tell him.

Anton picked up James question. Extending a quick hand, Anton introduced himself. "As I said before, my name is Anton, and I'm trying to figure out a way to bring back the security systems." James seemed very intriguing, especially his powers. How can he manipulate time? How is that possible? It deserved to be studied to say the least.

"Control time? How precise is that control? Could you, for example, run a single charge forward and backward in time to produce a charge?" Anton doubted it'd work if with precise controls, but a bad idea is better than no idea.

This power also required further study. "Coilin, how far is the range on your telepathic abilities? Can they sense down in the basement where the power level is?" If it was possible, he'd try to get power back on, but to do that he'd need to determine if the power was cut by friend or foe.

"Anton, Raven, Collin. Got it. And, you know, I've never tried making a charge before but theoretically it might work" James says calmly "How my abilites function is I trap an object or something within a small bubble of time, which allows me to reverse, fast forward, pause and things like that. Here, let me show you" James takes out an apple, sets a time bubble on it and throws it up in the air, then rewinds so that it comes back to his hand. While doing so, he quickly thinks.

Looks like Anton is the leader, Collin is the telepathic one and Raven is the ice cold one. Interesting.....

Rounding the corner, Hayate and Apostol came around to come in the same hall as Milo and X, both of the standing there. They seemed to be arguing, Hayate only placed her hand on the hilt of her weapon, while she motioned for Apostol to do the same. Apostol, just looked at Hayate, confused as to what she was doing. "T-Tom...... I don't get what you're trying to do."

"Apostol, just shoot them, you idiot." Replied Hayate, who had caused Apostol to be taken back, as she wore the same smile on her face, never changing. She then partially drew her blade, it's blade gleaming and made Apostol understand that he doesn't have a choice.

"Oh damnit." Muttered the boy under his breath before drawing his gun and begun firing on the two.

She paused, and again the visions of the three boys flashed into her mind. The ones she had so brutally murdered that Mary Kelly's death seemed small in comparison. She'd killed them slowly, keeping them alive as she cut them apart, and then disposed of their bodies in the Moskva River.

"Unless, of course," she said, removing her mask to showcase a wicked grin that almost touched the scar beneath her eye, "you make me angry..."

Visible in her eyes was the clear hatred that had led her to slaughter the three. The total absence of compassion or remorse. In that moment, she had been a sociopath. A psychopath. Not a moment had passed that she had ever regretted what she'd done to them.

And if she had to do it to anyone else, she wouldn't regret it then, either.
