"We should... go, then."Poppy's head was spinning. Part of her wanted to hug him tightly and apologize for ever doubting him. She remembered the things he had done for her. The gardens. He had helped her create the gardens, filled her life with plants again. The one thing that was always comforting, that always made her happy. Her plants. And he had helped her bring them back.

A small smile crept across her face as he mentioned stealing his candy. That was a good memory. She'd only had the nerve to do it because she trusted him. Otherwise, the thought of such a thing would have terrified her.

She trusted him.

How could she ever have doubted?

And Kadus... Kadus was hardly any better than Anastasia. She didn't want Poppy to be happy. She only wanted the girl to be her pawn. Anton wanted her to be happy.

(She wanted him to be happy too.)

She stood up slowly and hugged Anton, crying, and glaring at Kadus out of the corner of her eye.

"'m sorry..." she wept. "Sorry I doubted you..."

How could I ever have thought...

Then she heard Kadus's words.

"What?" she said in disbelief. "What are you talking about?"

She couldn't believe what Kadus was saying.

"My friend Karl is a hacker," Kadus explained sadly. "You know Anton here loves to talk about how he had to petition the school to get those plants allowed in the gym? Well...Karl was looking through the cctv cameras yesterday and he wwas interested in what they had planned for us so he looked at some of the staff offfices...and he saw Anton in one of them. I'd have thought the staff wouldn't have agreed for him to use the gym simply as a way of getting your trust so he could control you, but I guess this is a school for villains after all. That's why I decided to tellyou about it today after Karl told me."

"...I... I don't understand..." Poppy whimpered. "You're lying. You've got to be lying.'

"Morals may be relative for you. But for me, there is little more linear."

Jazz just chuckled. "Let's get to the point. You like to act independent. You think that it doesn't matter if you go against orders."

She moved closer until she was right behind Raven, unscrewing a cap on the object in her hand to reveal that it was a dart of some kind. This, of course, was the experimental version of the stun ammunition that would be used by guards later. It had a small amount of poison, that targeted the muscles and made it impossible to move for a few minutes. "And I think you could use a lesson on how little control you actually have..."
Raven jerked away from the other girl, her mind flying back to a place she didn't want it to go.

"No--" she shouted. "Stay away from me!" She drew her blades, taking a defensive stance.

In her mind, she screamed as loudly as she could, trying to get Coilin's attention.

Jazz aimed to stab her with the dart but missed when Raven ducked away, and she reacted by reaching to her holsters and drawing a sonic pistol with her free hand. Not something that would hurt, just disorient. It was usually used by the guards if students got out of control and needed to be subdued. She fired, hoping it would knock Raven out of her defensive stance.

He tried to open it.

"No you don't," Kadus said, leaning close so as to get her voice heard under her hands. "But why don't you listen to Anton negociating with the staff? I'msure Karl can find it for you...I'd understand why you wouldn't want to listen to me, but cameras and microphones are pretty difficult to misbelieve."

Luna had always hated talking to humans. She wore a large hat to cover her ears when she walked around around humans, and today was no exception to this precedent. She had just finished a very awkward conversation with a rowboat renter. She had no intention to return it, she had no way to return it, actually. She had felt bad for the man, he looked nice enough if he wasn't looking at her weird.

Rowing was relatively easy. She was going to row directly underneath the airship. Her hands were in a cycle as they rowed continuously. Being an elf, physical activity and her own endurance were higher than a humans, and she managed to row from the Indian coast all the way to the airship. Once she was directly underneath the airship, she pulled out the grappling hook she had stolen from the lab she came with, fired the hook onto the ship, dragging her body to it and leaving the rowboat in the ocean.

She winced in pain as her body came in contact with the hard material of the airship. She was hanging on with one hand. Allowing herself to drop, before reshooting the hook to an open door. It was locked. It was extremely cold this high hp, the small backpack she carried and the clothes she wore for the Indian climate did not help this. She looked down and yelped at the height, shaking in fear. She tapped the door lightly, hoping someone would respond.

Dante waved at Orson as he walked to the debriefing or whatever it was, also noticing two people further down the hallway. The boy was acting somewhat awkwardly, and the girl was just standing there indifferently. The awkward boy was probably being entranced by her. Dante himself was kind of indifferent to relationships at the moment since they could potentially interfere with his decisions. Maybe someone would change his mind about that someday. Dante turned to Sticky-Spit and spoke to him.

"I guess I'm gonna go and wander around to look for more people. The more people I can count on to have my back, the better."

He decided to head off in the direction past the boy and girl that were chatting further down the hallway. Dante walked past the both of them with his sword clinking against his holsters, while his eyes scanned the hallways for more new people to meet.

As Dante was wandering the halls and various areas of the ship, he heard a loud scream and a few light taps come from the other side of a door. He was curious as to who it was, so he walked over to the door and opened it.

Mattie was lost, not knowing where on Earth he was supposed to be going and recognising nobody. He leaned his back against the wall, annoyed.

That was when he heard the knocking coming from the door to his left, which for a reason he did not know was bolted.

He unbolted it, opened it and immediately realised why it was locked: it led to the outside.
He looked down, spotting the elf and without a word grabbed her shoulders and pulled her up, realising as he did so that this was probably not the best impression of the airship she could receive on her first day, being pulled up by an enormous fur-covered muscular creature.

"If you're not prepared to believe me," Kadus said, sighing, "Will you at least watch the video? Because it's going to be even worse for you when it becomes clear that I was telling the truth if you don't get out of this now. Despite what Anton might say, I'm not trying to use you...I just get very annoyed when I see people doing the sort of thing he is."

"Fine," she said firmly. "If there even is a video. Produce it now."

kadus sighed, calling Karl and teling him that Poppy needed to see that camera clip, making sure not to mention that Karl had actually been the one who made the camera clip.

He excused himself from marissa and entered the lab at a run, taking a laptop from his bag as he did so.
"This the camera clip with Anton in it, I'm guessing?" he asked, opening up his laptop and looking at the thorn-covered, angry Poppy.
"You're not going to like this, if that's the clip you want to see. Shall we go somewhere a bit quieter? Sound's a bit shit on this laptop."

Anton Greaves
"Kadus, there's nothing false about my information. You can ask Poppy, all of these memories happened. And I haven't lied about what you're doing either, or are you have done. And I'm not taking advantage of Poppy. She's a trusted assistant and a friend, and I've always given her a choice on what to do. If she ever thought I was using her, she could call me out on it at any time."

As Kadus said something about lying and cheating, Anton laughed. "Then I guess you're not a villain, Kadus. You've done nothing but lie and cheat your entire time here. You've tried lying . And now you're cheating with this video. I don't care what you and your flunkies have fabricated, I've got my own recording and a staff member who will back up my claims. And besides, you just so happen to have a video tape from a guy who can alter code with his mind and is friends with you? I'm sorry, but I don't think that's exactly an unbiased source. Now, do me a favor and get out of my lab."

Anton was about to lead Poppy away from Kadus when for the first time, Poppy snapped. The flower in her hair covered her body, shielding her from harm. Thorns began to grow from her makeshift armor, no doubt sharp enough to pierce metal. And in her eyes, a look of pure rage. Anton watched the transformation and considered intervening, but he decided against it. This was the first time she's moved to defend herself instead of shrinking back into her shell. With the threat of being plucked imminent, the rose had bared it's thorns, and if Anton tried to fight her battles it may never learn to defend itself.

Instead, he focused on Val. She had looked slightly upset, a bit of emotion slipping through the cracks. Why was she jealous of Poppy? They were all just friends right? No memories of working late in the lab, stealing glances to watch them work. No feelings of warmth when either of them came into the room. No unexplainable happiness that filled him when was around them. No, he loved before, but that was before he lost Val, before he lost everyone he loved and decided he'd be ruled by reason. His decisions now were not influenced by emotion at all. Right?

"No Val. No tricks, no games. We can go back to sharing research again, your magic and my science combining together to protect this world. We won't have to fight or undermine each other any longer. So, what do you say?" He extended his hand. "Partners again?"

Poppy had angrily yelled at Kadus to get the evidence. Anton said across the room "Actually, you can watch it here. I'm going to pull up my recording as well." Anton sent a message requesting a staff member.

Karl obliged, concentrating. The screen of the laptop was filled by the curious eye-and-hieroglyphs logo that appeared whenever he controlled something, before he focussed on a camera clip.

The screen turned to a view of an office, where a meeting between 2 members of staff had just concluded. One of them exited the room, and into it came Anton, who sat down.
"Did you get my message?" he asked, happily..
"Indeed I did," the staff member responded, peering down at him. "And I'm very sorry Anton...but the gymnasium is really not suited to..."
"I need this," Anton said in an agitated voice.
"Why is that?" the man asked, obviously busy from the expression on his face.
"I need to get her to trust me," Anton told him briskly. "I can't run the lab on my own...I need a partner...or an assistant. If I do something nice for her, she might follow me, otherwise she'll probably just think I'm like that woman again."
"How long will you need?" the man asked, looking slightly happier.
"Only a few weeks, a month at most. It's a very much temporary inconvenience, until she begins to do what I say. Then I'll get rid of them again, you can be assured of that."

As Karl listened to Anton's word, he didn't respond. Whatever video Anton had, it would be difficult to make stick...after all, Karl had directly altered the camera feed.
After it's conclusion, he sighed.
"Anton..." he said kindly, "Do me a favour and please don't talk rubbish. I can alter code,yes...but unless their is a real recording of you saying what you said, I can't put it in. Luckily, their is a real recording of what you said already, so that's not an issue."

Poppy watched in horror, her eyes widening.

No. No. No. No. No.

It couldn't be true.

The rose suddenly wilted, and died. A scream ripped from her throat, and she collapsed to her knees, the plants in the room shaking almost as violently as she was, several of them beginning to spray seeds all over the room, a few Venus fly-traps swiveling this way and that as they snapped at empty air, each plant reacting in a violent manner as the girl continued to scream.

She yelped in surprise as he pulled her up onto his back. She immediately cloaked herself, shaking herself off him and bolting through the open door.

Dante was highly confused at first, but decided to not think about it after the girl turned invisible. He could still see her, but just barely enough to be able to keep track of her. He decided to chase after her, seeing as she probably doesn't know her way around the ship and might wander into a place where she wasn't supposed to be.

She had no intention to be given a failing grade for something that someone else had caused. She sighed inwardly, something she usually did not do. The boys had cleared the hallway, no doubt going to meet in the Assembly Room. She was going to continue walking when she was stopped by another male.

He seemed slightly nervous. She was too tired to scan his emotions. "Yes, I am. And who's this?"

James stutters " Umm, I'm uh James. I heard there was a new student coming aboard so I came to see who it was. So, I heard you can control love huh? That's really cool I guess." Even without scanning his emotions, Venus could probably fell that James wasn't acting normal, much more nervous and awkward in fact.
behold, a signature.
