Just a hazy fuzz of color around her. The blueish-white of the lights, the gray of the room, the silvery steel beneath her, the black of her ripped-open shirt and the opaque green of the tubes running into her chest... and the red of blood. Why was she bleeding? A pool of blood was collecting around her prone body, and she couldn't figure out where it was all coming from.
All she knew for sure was pain.

She wondered what was going on. Was one of the captured students trying to escape? Or maybe someone had come to rescue them.
She didn't know. She just knew that after a thousand refusals to rejoin Madame Anastasia and a thousand encounters with Flint that she had somehow managed to endure the horrors of, she had been given up on and left to die.
Alone.

"Natalya!" Coilin screamed, hurrying through the halls, "Natalya! Stay awake! I'm coming!"
He desperately pushed his chair, cursing it for being so constrictive. He wanted to run to her, he was sure that it would be faster, yet he was stuck in this damn chair!
He growled, skidding to a stop in front of a door, trying to open it.

The door was locked with a combination code.
Four numbers. Just four.

Coilin growled, slamming a fist into the wall. "Ten thousand f*cking possible combinations..." he muttered, and then expanded his mind, looking for Anastasia or Flint.
Flint's mind had a stronger 'signal', as he was closer.
The things in his mind, the things he had done to Raven, were...
Disturbing. To put it mildly.

Coilin immediately started assaulting his mind, trying to break him, to turn his psyche to clay to be played with.
He inserted memories of torture, the same ones he did to Raven, but only it wasn't him torturing. He was being tortured.
Rape, with him as the victim.
Pain.
Hate.
Sadness.
Rage.
Depression.
Everything Coilin could think of in his rage.

Madame Anastasia was speaking to Poppy.
"Make sure you guard the trainees," she said coldly. "Do not fail."
"I will not," Poppy said firmly, and sadly. Then she turned and left.
I want to help them. Before it's too late...
But I have no choice.

Coilin smiled. I'll leave you like that, you piece of shite. And when I find you... you're dead.
He entered the combination.

She was not generally thankful for Karl's cybernetic powers, especially the one that allowed him to realise that inside Kadus' head was a computerised thing that was half computer and brain. It let him read it, communicate with it...attempting to control it led to a trained assassin who was very angry pinning him up against the wall. When Karl came in, however at a run, she was thankful that he'd been literally reading her mind as he simply targeted the nightmare creature with his gun and fired a long stream of bullets towards it.

The door opened, revealing Raven lying on a metal slab, her shirt ripped open and several tubes inserted into her torso, ranging from between her collarbones to directly beneath the ribcage. She was wounded, blood pooling slowly around her, her skin even paler than usual due to the heavy loss of blood.
She didn't turn her head to see who it was. No luck--the only medical instruments in the room were things like scalpels and others that could be used to harm.Free Empire of the Low Isles wrote:Charlia wrote:The door opened, revealing Raven lying on a metal slab, her shirt ripped open and several tubes inserted into her torso, ranging from between her collarbones to directly beneath the ribcage. Coilin was horrified, but he knew that he had to get her out of there. He looked around for anything that could seal her wound, and possibly something that could explain what the hell the tubes where doing.

She was so dizzy. Everything was just gray now. No other colors, just total monochromatic blurs.

Coilin reached out his mind, locating Nicolai. NICO! Get here now! Raven needs you! he thought, rolling over to her.
He looked around, trying to determine what the tubes were doing.

The tubes were pumping drugs into her veins, both keeping her out of it and making her more pliable.
"Anastasia-sama," Geisha said, bowing deeply, "Ice-chan has returned."
"Good..." Anastasia said coldly. "Stay out of sight. If she resists, feel free to kill her."

A semitransparent white liquid began to ooze from the tubes and--mixed with blood--from where they had been inserted, and her eyes became a little more alert.
"Hmm...?" she moaned. "...no more, please... there's no point... won't give in... no matter how many times..." A tear slipped down her cheek. "...no more..."

This wouldn't do though, Karl decided. Their were still more assassins in the base, and it was 3-to-2. They should have superior numbers: where they were however was another thing entirely.
Knowing that it probably wouldn't work, he began to play with Benson's laptop again, creating a chat box which replaced whatever he was doing.
Benson, it's Karl. Kadus is pinned down with 3 hostiles. I'm getting towards her but we need backup. Oh...and if you don't lend a hand it won't be you who's mad.

Nikolai stops helping Kadus as he receives the message. "The zone should be enough," he says, as he rushes off.
He finds Coilin, and a battered Raven in the center of the room. He winces, before placing his hand on her chest and began healing her, repairing the damaged parts of her body.
