I never known that Singapore is lacking available jobs. And I live in it's neighboring country.

Locals... have alot of competition...

Social issues at it's top here. Weakness of being an educated society is, everyone wants a good job which pays well, but there are only so many created per year to handle immigrants, foreign workers, and local graduates.

Regarding getting killed, yeah my bro was in an APC couple of decades ago when a grenade killed and wounded a group of four, we had a couple of men drowned in an exercise, and most recently, a recruit suffering negative effects from excessive smoke grenades which led to death too.

Sometimes the brand portrays itself as quality, the doctrine is sound, but the personnel are suspect.

Yeah, for some reason, the majority of the people in NS seem to be from America.

But here, we've got people from many other places, like Europe and Asia.

Nice

Singapore? Ah yeah, Singapore has a compulsory military service. I live in Romania, and we abandoned compulsory military service upon entering NATO. Though, with Russia doing stuff, they might reintroduce it again, a thing I would highly hate.

Being in an armed force could be interesting, ignoring that whole part where you could get killed or hurt.

I'll most likely study abroad if possible after finishing highschool, and never return to Romania again.

I served a while as a tank commander of a Leopard 2 (Non-Command Vehicle) after failing my F-16 training course.

Verdict - Hot. Bloody hot. Cramped. Can't see shit and always relying on a computer and visuals from other vehicles in the tank platoon. Done for the day? Clean the tank. Every wheel, every spoke. Four men, scrubs and all, make sure it's clean before returning back to the bunk. Cleaning happens every time one goes out into the field. Germany was great tho.

Radio operator? If it's being one at the rear, you get to live the life of luxury. Link forward units with HQ in a secured vehicle with air conditioning and all to ensure that the equipment's safe from malfunctioning. If you're the one out in the field, 30kg of equipment would help one lose weight as he chases after the spotter, who might be a national sprinter.

well i am already a part of the swedish home guard youth-thingy, and i have been on several occasions the radio operator, and i really like it, even if it's an extra 5-10 kg(the radios i have carried have been squad and platoon level, with a range of 3-30 klicks depending on what antenna you are using) I will take your word for the tanks, as i have only been in one that was standing still, but i never found them cramped(i am almost 1.9m mind you). But maybe that is because i enjoy being in cramped spaces(and don't find them cramped)

Do you know what variant of the Leopard 2 you were using?

Yeah had to do some research on the Strid 122 to compare the variants with ours. No secret, but it's the Leo2A4 for the little island. Maybe it's cramped considering that we brought in extra equipment during our trials. Mobilized units should travel faster.

Maybe it'll be colder in Sweden, local temperature's humid, so it does play a part in me cursing the heat. Same with the radio equipment, our smaller builds suffer slightly more with the added weight, and somehow obese people often find themselves as radio operators.

One: You're right, it was a Hetzer.
Two: ULTIMATE KEK at the anime logic there. Maus weighs for, I don't know, 180 tons? Plus it's wider than Hetzer. No way the tracks would go up like that.

And what's that Type 89B doing up there, exactly?

Talking off the topic, I used to have a desire to get into the National Armed Forces Academy.

Used to. Thought I'd apply for the position of a tank mechanic, since I came from a technical high school.

That's true, of course. That scene didn't have any bit of realism in it.

But hey, it's anime we're talking about. You can't demand realism from it.

And here I am.

Just feeling proud that we got some of the best sniper rifles and rifle overall in the world.

And that the now decommissioned FAMAS was made like two hours away from where I live.
Fun time.

I watched the anime after seeing screenshots of the game in a social platform :P
I checked fanfics but didn't read any of them since I was reading other things and didn't want to pile the stories.
I tried to register during the time they were using lottery system. I gave up eventually after learning about the lottery system. Also it's funny that the day their servers finally reached their limit was the day I started to watch it.

It was similar for me too. I saw screenshots of the game on Facebook, then heard about it, then tried the anime.
I've been reading quite a couple of KanColle fanfics, but yeah, I also don't like to pile the stories, so I only really read a couple of them right now. Especially a really awesome one with post-apocalyptic elements, that ended up as being one of my favorite fanfics in general.

I never actually tried to register, since I never really had the time to... but eventually, I'll really try to look for a way to register and play it.
