I don't know about this. I'm usually more open to changing stuff, but I'm pretty invested in being the character I made. It's been a while since I've felt this sort of investment, this excitement. It's a renewing feeling after feeling dull and bored for weeks with no drive at all. And they can't be not a berserker, it wouldn't make sense to be something else. So changing to another class means making a new character entirely. It'll be a bit quicker because I have ideas for it though.

Also, if things are starting tomorrow night, then I will be out between 8pm-11pm EST. Royal Rumble is on and I'm not missing it :p

I'm obviously biased but if you've got limited space I'd always go with "first-come first-serve". I suppose you did create a bit of a mess for yourself by telling Carly to make a Berserker and then accepting two other Berserker applications.

Guess what I'm trying to say here is that I'm glad I'm not you.

Hope that helps. Probably not. I'm not a very good Mentor.

So as promised, here is the citation for magecraft being weakened.

Kara No Kyoukai, Volume 5.
Touko-san pulls out a cigarette and takes a puff as she holds it in her mouth.
"Anyway, Azaka. Why are you telling such things to Kokutou? Concealment and secrecy are the greatest prerequisites for sorcery. ... Although, I suppose there wouldn't be any problems if the person you are talking to is Kokutou."
"What's okay if it's me?"
"You won't understand even if we tell you. There's no reason for the secret to escape either. Since you are the type that knows how to choose the topic depending on the person. You wouldn't talk about that kind of thing with a normal human."
"That may be so, but --- Is it really not good for a sorcerer to be exposed to others?"
"Indeed, it's bad. Although it wouldn't really matter socially, the power of your sorcery falls. Do you know the origin of the word 'mystery', Kokutou?"
Touko-san asked that as she brought her body forward on the desk.
"When you say mystery, do you mean the sort of mystery in mystery novels?"
"In a way. Not the detective novel sort, but mystery in the mystical sense."
"Yeah, I do. It's originally Greek, not English."
"... Well, that's true. In Greek it means to close something. Signifying stagnation, concealment, and self-completion. You see, a mystery has meaning in the fact that it is a mystery. Keeping it hidden is a nature of the technique. A sorcery that has had its nature revealed can't become a mystery, no matter what kind of supernatural methods it uses. It's nothing more than another method. Once that happens, that sorcery instantly becomes weaker.
Sorcery was originally magic too. In short, there was no question that the strength was pulled out from the origin that was its source. Should we imagine for a moment that there was something along the lines of a 'mystery that makes you rich'? Let's say that this has a strength of 10. If only one person knows it, they can use the entire force of 10 of its power. But if two people know it, that it gets halved into two units of 5 and gets used like that. See, it's gotten weaker, hasn't it? The way of expressing it may be different, but I think that this is a fundamental rule in regards to everything in this universe."

I could technically make a post, and have been coordinating with vanquaria, but I... Actually it is a tough question. People could just TG each other their posts so they can collaborate, so it is possible, but I don't know how to decide which is preferable. I could have an opinion one way or another, but I don't know what would be the best choice for everyone... Which would be detrimental for everyone, and not just my own personal preference (which could selfishly go against the group)?

Public Servant App:
Class: Assassin
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Image

Personality:
____ is a reserved and aloof individual. He looms as an enigmatic man of stoicism and laconic tongue. His concealing armor serves to further emphasize these traits about him, and so it is natural that an aura of enigma pervades ____ 's existence. It can be noted that his observations are excellent, and he can discern the minutiae behind the logical reasoning underlining the actions or intents of others. ____ often refers to himself in the third person, and his pattern of speech in general lends an eccentric air about him. Often his words twist and collapse upon themselves, engenedring faulty or flimsy meanings. It would seem that ____ would already be mad, which is not quite far off.

As an assassin, ____ 's sanity has taken quite the toll. He is no longer a Knight of __________ at its purest sense. His moral compass is absent, and it can be construed that only logos acts as the compass hand for ____ world view. He is neither cruel nor munificent, neither acrimonious nor sweet. He likes to consider himself, instead, as an observer. He observes, notes, and remembers. There is no biased personal feeling to bleed into this sublime observation, and so ____ comes off as eerily detached from his world.

He loves human ideals of perfection, and, by extension, cares for humanity. However, it is only the end product that matters to ____ . Humanity at its purest, most perfect state is the one thing that ____ views as a treasure, for it is the one thing from humanity that has not betrayed ____ in his ordeals. Anything beneath human perfection is simply trash. Of course, should his ideals of perfection be shattered, then most certainly ____ will lose grips on his humanity, for then there would be nothing to reconcile him with his fellow men.

In that sense, ____ is a desperate man holding onto a single thread that defines the worth of his existence.

Preferred kind of Master:
If absolutely preferable, a master that represents human perfection or purity. A flawless hero or perhaps a completely untainted mental existence like the type of mind homonculi possess.
RP Sample:
I haven't RP'd in like a year and a half. Nor was I ever active here. lol.

Master App:
Name: Nathan Montmirth
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Appearance: http://www.orbitbooks.net/wp-content/up ... zd-art.jpg
Nationality/Ethnicity: American/ Northern European
Religion (if any): Roman Catholic
Servant: I think OP said I should take Rider
Catalyst used: Calvary Helmet
Preferred School of Magic: Elemental
Preferred Class: Metal/ Ether
Bio: Nathan lived a quiet childhood in the East Coast until he was 15. When he was old enough to drive, he witnessed a deadly car accident between two cars. One had a drunk driver the other had a family of five. Only the drunk driver survived. Fueled by a need to end suffering, Nathan joined the state police and worked there until he was recommended to the FBI for his spotless record and number of cases. The FBI moved him out to California, where he learned Japanese in order to communicate with the high amount of immigrants there. It was at the FBI that his first encounter with magic came. His partner, Diana Smith, was a Elemental Mage, like he would become. She chose to take Nathan as her partner because of the mana she could feel radiating off of him. Once she had his trust, she took Nathan to a dangerous gang territory. While there, she used her control over metal to destroy hostile guns and fire balls. After that night, she began to show Nathan how he too could stop crime with magic. His training with Diana was never finished. In a basic op, an agent's cover was blown and they had to storm in. Diana went in first and never came back out. For months Nathan grieved. Finally, he left the FBI and went to find where he could enhance his magic to put an end to crime, once and for all. He heard rumors of a "Holy Grail War" while studying magic and went to Japan to see if the rumors were actually true.
Likes and Dislikes: Likes Justice and Truth and Dislikes Falsehood and Deception
Personality:Friendly but reserved towards other people.
Wish: Nathan would wish for an end to violence and pointless loss of life.
RP Sample: I showed this to the OP before

Is that really the best you can do for a bio? Look at the other Master apps and look at yours. Also because of the 'no witnesses' rule it's doubtful a mage of any significant skill would work for a mundane police force, federal or otherwise.

Preferred Class refers to which class of Servant you would prefer.

Also you did get Lunas Legion's TG right? Are you certain that Servant in particular would have a cavalry helmet as a Catalyst?

Rule 8a and 8b.

Masters and Servants will TG each other to determine Master/Servant pairs

The Private app is only known to the Servant's player, the Master's player, and the OP/Co-OP

In other words, you should probably have sent your Private app via TG to Ruetha by now.

Good enough. Just know that you should use 'Assassin' instead of a blank when not using your character's True Name.

Get started on a Master app for yourself and work on an IC post so I can add it to the initial IC post.

Allow me to start over from scratch I guess.

I thought our characters didn't need to be villains.

Since Rup mentioned a Berserker possibly dying, what actually happens when a servant dies?

I believe the master is out. Its just easier to kill the master than try and kill a servant (epic heroes don't die easily). The only other way is to leave the master incapable of supporting magic (destroy magical circuits beyond repair).

Problem with just killing servant is that their is a chance that the master could try for a new servant (which has happened and has produced new servants).
