Born to a family with a strong Police heritage, Daniel was expected to follow in his family's footsteps and become a Police Officer. However his father and many other Officers were corrupt, and Daniel's father was abusive as well as negligent. One night his father drinks too much and goes on a violent escaped. Daniel's mother summoning courage threatens to take their 3 children and leave the corrupt and crime ridden Atlanta otherwise known as "Dixie's Gotham". Enraged and drunk Daniel's father stabs his mother, killing her. The man immediately remorseful, and covered in blood staggered over to his youngest daughter, pleading forgiveness. But with the cries of his sister Rebecca, and the sight of his father blood covered and still, unknowingly clutching thr knife, the eight year old Daniel takes his father's gun and shoots him, believing he saved his sisters life.

The incident was ruled as self defense, and Daniel and his siblings were placed in a adoptive home, however his sister saw him as the man who killed their father. And so the two became distant, Daniel graduated with honors and earned many scholarships, top of his class, surpassed only two years later by his younger sister who became a STAR Labs scientist and his older brother becoming a police officer, trying to make an honest difference.

Daniel meanwhile graduated collage and just left, travelling the world and learning of world cultures, how to overcome pain, master four styles of martial arts, hunt in primitive ways and master games such as shogi and chess as he tried to reach his mental and physical peak. But surviving off of odd jobs grew tiresome and he enlisted in a mercenary unit at 21. Now nicknamed "Killswitch" in his unit for his deadly skills, he now fights in corrupt 3rd world nations against a mutant insurrection from a oppressive regime.

A year after his exploits in Baravia, Daniel had his skills honed by Deathstroke, and the budding assassin was well on his way to Madworld in order to pursue wealthy clientele for his contracts. There, he was eventually contracted out by Daud as a hitman for the Ultra Corps, taking out several high ranking opponents and enemies to both Ultra and the Kingdom, gaining the attention of the King - Maxwell Morningstar. Rather than start him off on an easy task (He intended to with taking out Lysia, but Daud jumped the gun on that contract), Maxwell was already convinced of his abilities, and gave him an impossible assignment: Kill the Praetorian Emperor.

A God in the shape of the Man, Xander was too much for Daniel, even with an imperfect Sentry Serum and several gadgets at his disposal. Rather than kill, Daniel assassinated the Emperor's character, and showed the world and his people that their Emperor was nothing short of a tyrannical monster, beating upon a mortal man with fists that could shatter mountains. Daniel would die at his hands, but timely intervention by Maxwell saved his remains and what little remained of his life force. Using Daniel's original body as a base, the Mad King and his plethora of scientists devised a new body for the assassin, one that could be used against high-powered opponents like Xander in the future.

Daniel awoke from death with new metallic limbs from the neck down, and power that would put some of the strongest Parahumans to shame, all by design so that Mad Max could have his ruthless assassin.

Powers and Abilities:

• Bionic Physiology: Due to his new body, Daniel gains most of the applications and abilities of a high-powered cyborg. Everything from his body to his senses and gadgets are integrated with his systems, allowing him to become an all-around impressive assassin like no other. From rocket-powered flight to laser beams and scans from his cybernetic eye, his body is a limitless wonderland with death in mind.
• Gadget Usage: A trait carried over into his new body, Daniel has a host of gadgets at his disposal, with a cumulative list shown here:
  • Plasma Sword: An extendable weapon from his right wrist, the plasma sword is super-heated and able to slice through damn near anything. It glows blue and hums, and generally looks like a light saber.
  • Vibro-Blade: A thin extension from his left wrist, the vibro-blade is in place if, for some reason, his plasma cutter is not viable. The metal vibrates at high-frequencies to keep it's blade molecularly sharp. Forged from adamantium, it is damn near unbreakable.
  • Trick Knives: Carried over from his old set, his knives include explosive, freezing, heating, and various others that may or may not be made up on the fly for plot.
  • Katana: The signature one he carried previously. Too badass to give up.
  • Railgun: Built in electromagnetic launchers in both arms allow Daniel to fire kinetic projectiles and slugs at impressive speeds, far faster and more potent than a bullet could be.
  • Energy Projectors: Out of his palms, eyes, mouth, and chest, Daniel can fire blasts of concussive energy directly from his power source, staggering and burning his foes.
  • Polarity Shifter: Using his energy reserves, Daniel can polarize molecules into their antithesis, effectively turning matter into anti-matter for impromptu explosive force.
  • Info Spheres: Little devices that act as additional eyes and ears for the assassin, which he can use to cover significantly more ground. Each one can be made to explode or produce an energy beam if directed, which can be used to hold down and subdue opponents or harass them while Killswitch hunts them down.
• Martial Arts Intuition: Building off a varied set of master-level martial arts skills, Daniel was implanted with the knowledge and muscle memory of several recorded martial arts and the ability to adopt more as he observes them. A specific style was developed for Daniel with this in mind, placing emphasis on his cyborg reconstruction and how it would bolster his martial arts ability, known as Panzer Kunst.
  • Panzer Kunst: "Armored Art", the style emphasizes speed as well as the use of vibration-based attacks to bypass an opponent's armour and directly cause damage to limbs or internal organs. Due to being vibration based, the style is useful in zero gravity situations and atmospheric battles rather than fighting on solid ground. Developed from the Parahuman martial arts of God Fist and God Slayer Fist by the scientist War Eagle in preparation for cyborg, android, and armored battles in a growing age of cybernetics. It was a side-effect of War Eagle and Mad Max agreeing that they needed a martial arts style that could deal with Forever Knight armor and the technowizardy of Craig Thomsen.
• Mechanical Regeneration: When available, Daniel can use surplus carbon and metals to regenerate from injuries sustained on his new body.

Weaknesses:

• Strong electrical assaults can cripple him. He has insulators and protection against normal voltage and amperes, but high enough assaults can begin to adversely affect his systems. His power system can re-direct the voltage for a limited time, but will eventually fail as well.
• Daniel's cybernetic systems can be assaulted by a significantly advanced virus
• Though Daniel has some degree of protection, high-end users of Technological Manipulation can render him useless. War Eagle is looking into giving Daniel full autonomous control of his body in a form of self-technological manipulation.
• To regenerate, Daniel needs to be in the presence of metals and carbon, yet can regenerate from any form of matter in times of crisis at the expense of energy.

Of course, you're allowed to resubmit the app as many times as you'd like (until it gets accepted of course )

Now, for the current app, I understand that you're basing your character off Martian Manhunter and that you're using the OBD as a resource, but your character still strikes me as fairly powerful, esepecially since this is your first character here. Would you be disappointed if I asked you to go with a weaker version of Martian Manhunter instead? If you make him a tad weaker, there's the plus that you'll also be able to interact with characters who aren't quite as high in terms of power level.

I won't veto any other Co-OP that wishes to accept this app, but yeah, I'd strongly recommend that you tone down his powers and statistics a little.

Besides that, I feel obligated to also inform you that there is a newer, more active version of this roleplay here, so you might want to check out that as well.

He copied the looks of the first man he came across, and in an attempt to figure out a way to live in the same fashion he was used to, started a company. He copied "primitive" Martian technology that was beyond anything the earthlings had ever seen and sold it, making millions in the process. It was then he started his vowed vendetta, he worked during the day and at night went out and slaughtered any member of the species he hated. To the humans they simply thought a serial killer was on the loose, and saw nothing unusual of the bodies, due to their similarity in appearance to humans.
