Hiroshi's parenting issues stem from his upbringing in a way. His Daddy was an asshole who mentally and physically abused him. So, the parenting style he's adopted is a hands off sort of thing, almost detachment from Tomia in everything but extreme cases.

While his husband-ing, is because he was or is a cheating bastard
