Therefore it would not be feasible for there to be a sprawling Central European federation in 1000 BCE. The most advanced civilizations are still in the Cradles of Civilization, not Europe. At most, at the start, you could be a federation of broad spectrum, low intensity farming tribes and then over the years build a federation.

Good point... hm... bad [1]Cradles of Civilization. I'll have to think on joining (AKA think of something interesting and fun to RP). I'm not experienced with age old stuff, and it usually leads to be getting confused because of stupid [2]demographics and [3]ethnicities that are oddly named.

[1] Bad Cradles? Mesopotamia, China, Peru, Mexico, India
[2] Really it's nice. No more than a few hundred thousand save for a few rare states
[3] No real life groups means you can make up the names

;-; I meant that the Cradles are bad kitties. Like G-tech. G-tech is mostly a good kitty, though. (I'm being silly... clearly G-tech is a Boston Terrier)

Hm... I'll try to think of something, the app is just a bit overwhelming. I know my apps are overwhelming, but I usually start with simple ones. I get overwhelmed easily.

It's really not that bad. However, if you find it overwhelming perhaps this RP isnt for you. Or perhaps you should consider a minor power

Start with a small tribe then. If you get overwhelmed easily, you may not be ready for a nation-state yet.

Though it helps that this isn't based on RL history, and you can make up your own history.

Consider Persia.

Then you can be easily vassalized.

You have 60,000 "professional soldiers."

Borizu was mass conscripts. It never even specifies how many soldiers they had in the wiki page.

Yes, but I also specify that in wartime, I could mobilize up to 200,000 soldiers (and this number will increase as time moves forward and my population grows)

You don't seem to understand that I'm telling you a professional army of 60,000 soldiers is ridiculously huge for the era.

Armies aren't professional. You levy people and give them training, send them to war, when they win they come back home and till the fields.

So, fertile croissant fights are gonna been in the summer then? Every other time period is either crop season (spring and fall) or winter, which isn't exactly an excellent period for campaigns in the late bronze/early iron age.

Winter isn't bad that time of year in the Middle East. In the highlands its hell, but they could pull it off.
