It's not his temperament that is the problem, its just that any trained force sensitive in either the Federation or Coalition would have been hunted down at killed, so remaining in either of their militaries is quite unlikely

Personality: He is sarcastic, and is very stubborn. He looks out for himself which he views a legitimate morality. Despite his funny and hard exterior, he is quite sad and torn up on the inside.
Occupation: Commander of a star destroyer patrolling the outer rim
Allegiance: The Empire

Bio: Dorong was born in a farming village on the planet Jorok, on the outer rim. When he was 6 years old, Hutt mercenaries attacked the village, killed his parents and sold him into slavery.

For the next two years, Dorong would slave away for the Hutt who had captured him. He was forced to do back breaking work, and he would have no choice but to fight the other slave kids for foot and other necessities. This hard life style rubbed off on him and has scared him emotionally for years to come.

When he was 8, the Hutts sold him to the First Order, whom had intended to use him as a storm trooper. Very early on in training, Dorong was found to be incredibly intelligent and was instead assigned to officer training programs. Despite being recognized for an incredible intellect, he was a difficult pupil and would constantly argue with his teachers and other students. Because of this he was never promoted to a high position and has been regulated to patrolling the outer rim sectors of the Empire.

Notes: He commands a single star destroyer made up of around 3,000 storm troopers.
