Name: Peter Kowalski
Nickname: Pierre (which is what his Quebecois grandmother calls him), Pedro (which is what his ex-girlfriend's family called him), "Frenchie" (because of his tendency to speak in French as well as English, even though he's actually from Canada).
Age: 17
Sex: Male
Gender: Cis
Picture Appearance:
Job Position: N/A
Abilities: Seeing as I think Corrian explained the difference between abilities and personal skills somewhere (I don't know where and I'm not really going to go through 100+ pages to find it), Peter is fairly intelligent and quite strong; not necessarily to Albert Einstein or Arnold Schwarzenegger levels (respectively) but he can still hold his own.
Origin: September 22nd, 1998, Toronto, ON, Canada
Personality: To put it bluntly, Peter's a bit of a loner, albeit one by choice. As a result, he tends to be quiet, slightly reserved and, most of the time, you won't know he's there. However, that isn't a major problem to him because he enjoys being by himself, gives him time to think. In fact, it only becomes a problem if you keep trying to socialise with him even when it's clear that he doesn't want to talk. You could argue that would make him a bit of a jerk, although he won't do anything malicious and, if provoked, he would either say a snide remark or just call you out on it; when you push him too far, he would challenge you to a cooking duel, a free throwing contest or, in really rare circumstances, a fight. He also has a tendency to swear in Quebecois, although he is trying to cut down on it.
However, there are moments where he can be sociable under his own free will. For example, he had a girlfriend, Jennifer, and their relationship was a good one, which lasted a couple of years (more on that later). Apart from that, he's very close to his family and gets along very well with them, often going back to Canada for the Summer and, apart from this year, Thanksgiving (which, for Canadians, is in October). And, if you're on his good side, then he's the most loyal friend you can have.
Apart from that, he's normally a straight B student. Not because it doesn't really interest him but because it keeps him out of the limelight, stops him getting extra attention, so he can still keep to himself. But, if there's anything he likes doing, he'll put plenty of effort and passion into it. In other words, he's a bit "Brilliant, but Lazy".
Equipment: Clothes:
- Beige field jacket
- A variety of shirts, ranging from a plain white one to shirts related to things he likes (see below)
- Black jeans
- Black and grey socks
- Black Converse One Stars
He also has hockey jerseys - both home and away - for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Marlies, Colorado Avalanche and Team Canada, as well as a home jersey for Jokerit (which was actually sent over from his Finnish pen pal) and a home jersey for the Quebec Nordiques (which he bought at a Goodwill). He also has a couple of Blue Jays shirts, even though he doesn't really watch baseball that much. And, despite the fact that he doesn't like football at all, he has a Toronto Argonauts jersey, although it was a hand-me-down from his older brother Mike. During P.E., he wears a Toronto Raptors home kit, as well has his usual socks and shoes.
Equipment:
- Toronto Maple Leafs backpack full of school supplies (as well as a smaller Leafs bag for his gym clothes)
- A Team Canada duffel bag with all of his clothes
- Silver 7th gen iPod Nano
- A brown BMF wallet
- Nokia Lumia 930
- A Gilette Mach3 razor blade, shaving foam and some aftershave
- 1994 Dodge Shadow
Moral Alignment: Mostly true neutral, although on his good days he can be neutral good.
Blood Type: A+
Height, Weight, Body Type: Peter is 6' 1" (185cm), 173lb (78.5kg) and fairly slim, although in the right light there are some muscles.
Distinguishing Marks: His stubble, which makes him look much older than he really is.
Bio/History: Peter Wayne Kowalski was born in Roncesvalles, Toronto, ON on September 22nd, 1998. The youngest of Douglas and Béatrice (née Levasseur) Kowalski - his older brothers being twins Matthew Gordon Kowalski (aka Matt) and Michael Mario Kowalski (aka Mike); both were born on January 3rd, 1995 - he and his family moved to Denver, Colorado in 2000, as his father - who works as an SQL developer - was transferred there by his company. Although Matt and Mike settled into school alright, Peter was mainly quiet and just hanged around in the background. Although middle school was more of the same, he became more sociable in his first few years of high school (see below) This lead to his parents deciding to send him to Blake Holsey High for his last year, as they thought that a smaller school environment was better for him.
In sophomore year, he was paired with a girl called Jennifer for a science project. After they both found out they had some things in common - namely they're both loners (she was shy, whereas he chose solitude) and their families would move to the States after their births (his parents moved from Toronto when he was two, her parents moved from Guadalajara when she was three) - they started dating. The highlight of their relationship was Valentine's Day when, instead of doing anything for themselves, they decided to treat their parents, as well as Matt and his girlfriend at the time to a special Valentines dinner; Peter doing the cooking (along with Mike, who was single at the time but didn't want to feel left out, helping out) and Jennifer being the waitress. In fact, the only reason they broke up was because she and her family were moving to Syracuse and they didn't think that the relationship would survive long distance; either way, they still keep in contact with each other. Again, just goes to show that Peter can be sociable when he wants to and because it might add more to his character. I don't know.
Also, to those who are wondering, his love of cooking began when he was five years old. At Thanksgiving 2003, instead of watching the football (where the Ottawa Renegades beat the Argonauts 21-15), he asked if he could help out in the kitchen. And he did; even though he didn't really do a whole lot (most of it was just opening cans of food and taste testing just to see if things were done properly), he had plenty of fun doing it. It was at that moment when he realised that he wanted to be a chef, so he spent the next couple of years reading cookbooks, trying to replicate the recipes he's read or giving them a twist and just generally trying to hone his craft. Although the idea of culinary school came up quite a few times, Peter decided to wait until he was an adult before applying.
And yes, before you ask, their middle names are references to hockey players.
Voice: Although he's been living in the US since he was two years old, he still retains a strong Ontarian accent. To give you a good idea of what he sounds like exactly, just imagine Stewart Francis but in a slightly higher pitch. And, before you ask, he actually says "a boat" instead of "aboot" and "hein?" instead of "eh?", although that last one comes up if he doesn't understand something.
Personal Skills: He's very good at basketball, having played it about every day for about ten years. And, even though I don't know if he'll be able to show it off unless someone pushes him that far, he's an excellent cook, with poutine being his specialty. He's also very good in French, being from Canada and, since he has relatives in and around Montréal, he can also speak Joual as well. He also speaks a little Spanish, as his ex-girlfriend was from Mexico.
Sex Orientation: Heterosexual.
Likes: Hockey; basketball; cooking; cooking shows, his favourite being Iron Chef; poutine, which is not only his specialty but also his favourite food; donuts (especially Tim Hortons); tea, both ice and regular; macaroni and cheese (bonus points if it's Kraft Dinner); Winter; Rick and Morty, his favourite TV show; and, of course...
Dislikes: Coffee; rock music (yes, including The Tragically Hip); metal; both Charlie Puth and Meghan Trainor (so, obviously, he won't like that Marvin Gaye song); football (both American, Canadian and soccer); dubstep; smoking; drugs; jocks; homo- bi- and transphobia; being around people for too long; being touched (although friends, family and those with a good reason are the only exceptions) politics, to a lesser extent. Also, since I wouldn't classify it as a "dislike" due to it being something more, I'd like to point out that hurting Karlee (his best friend/honorary sister), Miyuki (his other friend/secret girlfriend) and/or Christian (his other other friend/roommate) in any way, shape or form will cause him to get angry.
Disorders & Handicaps: He's an ISTP, with a bit of emphasis on the I; while it is possible that there could be a reason for it, don't expect him to say what it is. He's also allergic to coconuts.
Past Occupations: He had a paper route when he was 12, but that was about it.
Fears, Wishes, and Goals: Fears: He's afraid of letting people down, which is probably one explanation as to why he's so introverted and why he tries to be average; afraid of getting ill, although it doesn't get to the point where he thinks he's dying just because he coughed; and he's afraid of mice and rats, mostly out of fear of contamination. He also doesn't like large groups of people, but it's more a dislike than a fear.
Wishes: He doesn't really have that many wishes, really. Maybe get through high school without any serious problems.
Goals: His main goal is to go to a good culinary school, so he can perfect his art and fulfil his lifelong dream of becoming a chef. Bonus points if it's one in Canada.
Theme Song: Outkast - Elevators (Me and You)
Scent: Mostly aftershave, although there is a faint hint of poutine there.
Hopefully this is alright. If there any problems, issues, questions or anything like that, please let me know so I could answer, explain or change them. Also, I've had to change a few things from the last time I used this character (for example, originally he was 18 because he was born on September 2nd, before the start of the school year) and I wanted to make sure I got everything planned in so I don't end up throwing stuff into the IC that wasn't in my app. So, if it turns out that I didn't need to do make any changes, I might change it back.
P.S. Apologies if it looks like I've ripped off Dylan. I haven't, this is all purely coincidental.
