I mean, the Feldmans would probably want to rush back to find out what happened to their house. And run into the dozens of cops scouring the place.

Would be interesting.

So, once the party gets crashed who takes control of the cops? I assume me and Ky since we have the only two characters that are cops.

If we're going in depth (by having the cops interact with partygoers, having back-and-forths between the two officers watching the party and the backup on their way there, etc.) then I'm pretty sure a few of us could create a couple more cops just to help you guys out. In fact, if that is the plan then I'll get to work on a police app.

Sorry if that doesn't make sense, by the way.

Yeah, that could work somewhat. I was thinking of someone labeling the actions of the cops that were not Mitchner and Burkhart to be under the banner of Aspen Police Department/Pitkin County Sherriffs Office, but your idea seems more interesting. Besides, these additional cops would fit into the whole Blake Holsey mystery thing from the source material if we get there.

I think we got the Sane Men cops (Mitchner and Burkhart), but I was planning to get a Newbie that gets the brain bleach (you know who he will find). We should ask Corrian though.

Makes sense. Besides, there's nothing saying that the newbie can't be assigned to work with Burkhart or Mitchner in the future so, you know, they won't be wasted. Or that some of the cops that show up could only really appear in that scene, meaning we don't have to get rid of the "Aspen Police Department/Pitkin County Sherriffs Office" banner thing.

Either way, as you've said, it all depends on what Corrian thinks about it. And maybe Ky as well, since a) he's got quite a big role in this scene and b) he's the Co-OP, so I think he should have a say as well.

Since Corrian's now down with having some more cop characters appear to help out Burkhart and Mitchner (although it's a question of how many of them will appear after the party), I guess I should probably get to work on that police app which, to be fair, is probably going to be mostly cobbled together from an abandoned app I made for a police RP on here (with some slight changes). Since it's quite later over here, I'm going to get to work on it tomorrow.

P.S. Who's going to be the poor newbie who's going to end up wishing that they could unsee what they saw?

I think 5 mainstay cops should be enough for the whole mystery plot of Blake Holsey, and the rest we could place under the whole Aspen Police Department/Pitkin County Sheriffs Office banner. They appear from time to time, but they won't be in the plot itself.

I think the newbie would probably be someone who graduated from the police academy and it is their first day on the job, to make things more hilariously black.

Hmm, I could throw in my character that was a police officer in a random Facebook RP, but she wouldn't be a newbie.

Sounds like a good idea, to be honest. Besides, as I've said, we could lump some of the minor (minor-er?) cops under the "Aspen Police Department/Pitkin County Sheriff's Office" banner, just so we didn't have to get rid of it.

North Daecon wrote:I think the newbie would probably be someone who graduated from the police academy and it is their first day on the job, to make things more hilariously black.

Makes sense, although to be fair I was actually asking who wanted to make an app for the newbie. It's my fault, I should've worded it better. Saying that, I might make my cop character the newbie although, if anyone else wants that role, it's probably a good idea to say so now just so I don't have to go back into my app (when I get round to it) and have to change things round.

I hear fireworks going off in my neighborhood. Nothing unusual. My countryside loves blowing things up on any day involving fireworks, but its a practical warzone on 4th of July.

I know how you feel, except with Bonfire Night and Diwali instead of Fourth of July.

No worries. My dads practically been "off" for this whole week too, so I've been busy.

"Off" meaning one day using an excuse to not leave because our hill is a sheet of ice, second day sleeping like crap, and the 3rd day literally trying to leave the neighborhood and just rolling back down the hill. At least he got to work from home. rear wheel drive trucks suck in snow, especially when he's used to doing front wheel drive.

That doesn't sound good. I mean, isn't there anyone (or anything) to salt or grit the roads where you are?

As for me? I'm relatively busy, since I've got a rugby sevens tournament over in NS Sports. And, sometime after that, the World Cup of Hockey (where I try to defend my title). Probably not the type of busy you and Ky were on about but it's still something that'll bite into my RPing time.

P.S. Apologies to Dirk and Jeb (and maybe Ky to a lesser extent) for Peter bringing up Patrik Stefan.

I fill his pain, got stuck on a city street in my frontwheel drive car on snow and ice today, knew i should have taken my 4x4 truck.

To be fair to the Stars, they did win that game 6-5 in a shootout. Not to mention that they made it to the Stanley Cup playoffs that season (even if they did lose to Vancouver 4-3 in the first round) whereas Edmonton didn't.

Besides, I wouldn't say that Patrik missing an empty net from close up was the worst of it. It was him falling over and, eventually, Hemsky (who nows plays for Dallas funnily enough) scoring the equaliser for the Oilers that pushed what would've been a normal fail into "epic" territory.
