Only dwmer and magic living god people can create numidium.
The lesser races wouldn't even know where to begin.

As of the time of the skyrim game almost all of vvardenfell is under a pile of ash and fresh lava flows due to a active and constantly erupting volcano.

That would include the little island that the last dwemer is on.
Plus, as the OP pointed out when I suggested him still being alive, the corpsus disease was the thing keeping him alive for so long. The nevereine cured that.

Im pretty sure somewhere in all of that, the last living dwemer is dead.

Essentially just a anti disease potion in cream form you rub on your skin.

Keeps you from getting infections and things from when your handling dead bodies or trasping through dirty dusty old dungeons.

I always thought they did that to themselves by accident when that mad engineer tried one bombing the Heart of Lorkhan and the heart was like "nah mate" and made em all go poof. Didn't know the Daedra were fed up with their m'ladying.
