The far southern portions of the Atlantic Ocean near the Antarctic coast. A desolate sort of place; isolated, with little more than ice and frozen waves. The evening is clear, and the moon is partially full, giving an almost ethereal quality to the remote airspace. Survival here is unlikely.

Nonna is in the air now, and inbound to the combat area at Mach 1. I'll probably have her go after those F-4s... it's times like these I kinda wish the Tu-95 was the enemy, lol! Those MiG-25s and F-14 are bad news for my Flogger! Also, did some minor edits to better fit the scene taking place at night. Poor Nonna will need a nap after all this is over.

The 23 can out turn the 25's plus the 25 doesn't carry a gun (Neither pod nor internal), so you could probably get those, but I think Beia is taking on the Tomcat

Oh yeah, I forgot they don't have guns. I'd be worried about the better BVR, but then I suppose those missiles are so large Nonna might manege to dodge them... they might even be easier marks than the F-4s now that I think of it.

I love that the old Foxbat is even more maneuver challenged than the 23, lol! All that stainless steel make them flying meat cleavers!

I did some retcons to hopefully fix the continuity of my posts, so Nonna is with the squadron now, but was like the last one to get to the staff meeting pre-interception which is why she couldn't find Nick when she went to grab him.

I splashed one MiG-25 with an AA-7 heat seeker... so good to have long range heat seekers! Gotta love the Soviets!

Well OK, I'm keeping it AMRAAMs because AMRAAMs has a longer range than the Acrid, and the Mica doesn't. And because I already posted.

Maximum range for the R-23R is 35 km, and for the infrared version R-23T is 15km.
