Isn't there another criteria? I mean... I doubt emperor would marry a merchant's daughter no matter HOW filthy rich her household is. I mean... Chuk-Jae-Do's Merchant families have some Dutch merchants, and they have been relatively successful. Only problem is that they are quasi Christian... as many have adapted into Cheondoism (which is sort of accepted by France... and hopefully by Christendom... as heretical religion of Christianity).

The point being... even IF I had a white, Christian women... it has to be of noble birth, no?

No I am afraid a merchant's daughter would not be considered a suitable empress of Brazil. Only royalty would have been considered suitable.

Btw... I KNOW Lenyo knows, but if my RP style is anything, Korean merchants will eventually hold enough sway that it will become even stronger than nobles and even imperial family. FYI for all folks that kinda want a long-term relations with Korea ^^

You're right, a Duchess of Orléans would make a lot more sense. (The Bourbons are total has-beens in France.)

Even if no one is willing to accept the Imperium as the lawful successor of the Western and Eastern Empires, at least, there are no Holy Roman Emperors anymore. It isn't that bad.

However in Christendom's app he literally states the Kingdom of Christendom is recognized in the middle ages as a southern more centralized version of the Holy roman Empire. So yeah there is technically another claimant.

As long as he doesn't directly claim and use the title of Roman Emperor, as I said, it's okay. He can call himself champion, knight, whatever he wants of Rome, but tensions would escalate further only if he would use the same title as my Emperor.
