I am still here, just making finishing touches since Chinese New Year.

Few things came up and it took precidence, but I will post very, VERY soon. And change to 1856... and get ironclad post... things will be a bit busy ^^;;;

If need-be, I'll start dropping players who cannot partake anymore. I doubt it will happen once the activity picks up again. Until then, we can keep our relative stability in the forums ^^. I mean... wars lasted more than one year on average before... I see why we shouldn't keep a dragging war around XDDD

This man was Buddha, and he would forever change the fate of Nepal. Although the Nepali area remained Hindu, the new Buddhist faith spread into Bengal and Tibet, eventually reaching China and Japan as well. The revolutionary faith forever left its mark on Southeast Asia, in its scattered forms.

Nepal was, at one point, dominated by the Newar. Their city of Kathmandu was the most prosperous, and they saw their own expansion into the surrounding kingdoms. What they did not see coming, however, was the Gupta Empire. The Gupta reunification of India after the fall of the Maurya, or at least coming close to reunifying it, established a strong cultural legacy that was never quite forgotten. Hindus, Buddhists, and Jains all lived peacefully under a single leadership. This model would inspire even those outside their domain, bringing Indian faiths together in relative harmony.

Nothing lasts forever. The Gupta Empire fell in India and reformed in Nepal. However, honor killings and male dominance went too far and a female revolt began called the Velda War. The rebels were successful and the Queendom of Veda was proclaimed under the Venda family and the goddess Velda in 1850.
