The channel separates several European countries from the United Kingdom of Cambria, so it's only reasonable to call it the Cambrian channel.
The oppressed are allowed once every few years to decide which particular
representatives of the oppressing class shall represent and repress them in parliament.

Yeah, that makes the most sense. Anywhere the terms "English" or "British" are used, substitute "Cambrian". :)

So we are speaking Cambrian?

You know...interesting point. We can continue to call the language English, since it developed from the Anglo-Saxons. Or we can, as the Celts do, call it Saxonish. The choice between them is largely arbitrary. Saxonish sounds more awesome, but English is more well-known. :)

Popularly, in the Imperium, Cambria is known as Britannia, and English as Lingua Anglica or Lingua Britannica.

There's a bit of fun too. Cambria is the Roman name for Wales, based on the original Welsh name Cymru. Since the Welsh Tudors are still the royal family, Welsh influences come to dominate the culture rather than English. Britannia would refer to the whole island, from the Roman perspective - which is actually correct when referring to the island itself. But the nation of Cambria also includes all of Ireland and so Britannia isn't quite accurate for the country as a whole. :)

Not that it's going to affect our relations, regardless. For as a Cambrian playwright once penned, "What's in a name? That which we call a rose
by any other name would smell as sweet". :P

That's why I said popularly. For the people, usually Cambria is associated with the former Roman province of Britannia, hence the name, even if the Welsh/Cambrian influence is also strong. In the informal speech, modern countries are usually associated to the old Roman provinces with possible, Christendom being Italia, France being Gallia, Hansa being Germania, and so on.

I will try to continue and answer to the events in Constantinople today and tomorrow. Assume that like other events we had, it doesn't care about things like time :P

So now that everyone has arrived in Stockholm for the conference, what ideas did you have for some co-operation between our nations? I was going to suggest some kind of trade agreement or other economic plan, but I am open to suggestions.

Well, unless you have some dramatic shenanigans planned to spice the event up, I'd say the standard handshaking and friend making will probably suffice. :)

Never actually thought about that, but a secret service/police exists, under the direct and sole command of the Emperor. Not much is known about it, and among the general population, it's more of a rumor, being called: Auctorinus (the Agency) or Michael (after the archangel).

Very cool! Is it all right if I edit the Auctorinus into the post, rather than the vague "Imperial secret service"? :)

Yeah, of course.

Now, technically, that emblem the assassin guy found could get him inside the Blachernae Palace, but it would be pretty dangerous. That place is swarming with Varangians.

Thank you, and noted.

I left it pretty open ended, so there's lots of directions we can go with it. But once the wedding gets going, there is a Big Job still to be done. :P

I wonder what will happen now that since I am already in the territory conquering it, how will Japan react to the fact that I have no plan on relinquishing the territory he paid Ry for which I am already deeply invested into.

EU4 Lost Cultures stuff is pretty fun. Hebrew has the names inverted, though, with male names for women and female names for men. I made Israel, Tyre, Sidon, Athenai, Sparta, Alexandria, Carthage, Anglaland (Northumbria), The Fylkirate (Iceland), Skane, Pruthenia, Western Roman Empire (province of Rome), Parthia (consisting of the region), Assyria, Babylon, Aram, Royal Scythia, and Alania.

Tyre: Jewish, Phoenician, naval and colonization focused, despotic monarchy, duchy
Sidon: Jewish, Phoenician, trade and naval focused, merchant republic, duchy
Athenai: Orthodox, Athenian, naval focused, merchant republic, duchy
Sparta: Orthodox, Spartan, army focused, despotic monarchy, kingdom
Alexandria: Coptic, Old Egyptian, religiously focused, theocracy, empire
Carthage: Jewish, Phoenician, naval focus, oligarchic republic, empire
Anglaland: Norse, Anglo-Saxon, army and stability focus, feudal monarchy, kingdom
The Fylkirate: Norse, Jan Mayenese, religious focus, monastic order, duchy
Skane: Norse, Scanian, stability and army focus, feudal monarchy, kingdom
Pruthenia: Shamanist, Pruthenian, army and religious focus, tribal monarchy, kingdom
Western Roman Empire: Catholic, Roman, militarily-focused, despotic monarchy, empire.
Parthia: Zoroastrian, Parthian, military and tolerance focused, despotic monarchy, empire
Assyria: Coptic, Babylonian, military focused, despotic monarchy, kingdom
Babylon: Coptic, Babylonian, trade and tech focused, despotic monarchy, kingdom
Aram: Coptic, Aramaic, trade focused, despotic monarchy, kingdom
Royal Scythia: Zoroastrian, Scythian, trade and army focused, steppe horde, kingdom
Alania: Zoroastrian, Scythian, stability and army focused, steppe horde, duchy
Israel: Jewish, Hebrew, army and religion focused, tribal federation, kingdom
