Grestin, behind? What a twist.

In any case how does a Necromancer-esque anti-hero/villain(?) from the Soviet Union sound?

Name: Екатерина "Вампир" Моро́зов - Ekatarina Morozov, "The Vampire". [Her nickname, "The Vampire", is only known to her and the Soviet Defense Ministry as the code name for her experiment. She despises it, and tells no one.]
Age: Twenty five.
Gender: Female.
Appearance: Here.
Nationality: She was formerly a citizen of the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics, but later after she defected, she became both a Turkish and an American citizen.
Ethnicity: Her father was a Russian, and her mother was Azerbaijani.

Skills: Aside from her superpowers, Ekatarina is a Russian Experiment, and as such, she was intended for espionage use in the United States and beyond. As such, she was given formal KGB training, or at least some semblance of it before she defected. Thus, she is proficient in both Sambo and Samboz, the martial arts originating in the Soviet Union, the latter that deals with smaller, weaker bodies being the one that she is more effective using due to her physical stature. Furthermore, she has firearms training, something that can often come in handy when her powers are not able to be used. Finally, she is able to maintain a cool head in stressful situations.
Abilities: Ekatarina's main ability is her Haemokinesis, the ability to manipulate blood, hers or others, and most of the rest of her abilities are simply derived from that. Haemokinesis, at least, in the form that Ekatarina wields, is relatively limited, due to the strain that it puts both on her psyche and her physical body. In around three meters from her body, she can manipulate the blood of others, including lifting them, moving them around, or, alternatively forcing their blood to explode out of their veins or forcing it to exude out of every pore of their body, the former causing near-instant death, and the latter a death that's both excruciating and slow. She can also manipulate her own, though there's less use to it. Theoretically she can fly and manipulate her platelets in order to accelerate her healing factor, but as of the present, she is unable to.
Strengths: What Ekatarina lacks in physical strength, she makes up for in her skill in martial arts and her mental strength. Aside from her powers, she is agile and acrobatic, able to get to certain vantage points easily. Her small stature and training allows her to be rather stealthy, as well, when the situation calls for it.
Weaknesses: [Same thing as above.]

What They Look Like:

Hair: Reddish brown

Height: 5 feet 8 inches tall
Weight: 126 lbs

Face Claim: Janet Montgomery

Skills: [What you're good at. Don't list too many, but those that you do list, try to give each a small description.]
Primary Ability: Chlorokinetic Mimicry is the capability for a [insert race here], such as Emilia, to take on the properties of any known flower, tree, bush, weed, or plant in general with the hopes that their mimicking of such life forms would prolong their life. For Emilia it has done just that; by granting her photosynthetic properties Emilia’s abilities induced in her, at a cellular level, the capacity to store and use sunlight in such a way that it slows down the amount of aging she has due to her relation to relatively long-lived plants(her cells feed off of the solar energy in such a way that slows cell splitting thus extending her lifespan). Emilia can do other things, though, things that would blow your mind for she and her abilities have a symbiotic relationship unlike any other. With nearly two centuries of schooling in her art of mimicking plants she has come to do something no other with her abilities, well similar abilities is capable of doing. Emilia doesn’t have the need to be in the radius of the plant she is going to mimic, she simply has to have encountered it some time within her last 387 years.

Emilia’s capacity to take on the attributes and features of any plant, whether it be taking on skin as hard as that of an ironwood, or developing a poison kiss, is unparalleled in versatility. This has led to such a prolonged life span, for you see even though people have tried to kill her they, well, they died themselves which leads me to yet another part of this marvelous section of her powers. Not only is Emilia capable of taking on the attributes of plants and fueling herself through them without the need of actually eating, though hydration is required, she can extend her abilities. Emilia is capable of extending her ability as time passes on through “plug-ins”, these plug-ins being her children or people whom are close to her. Each person that is added gives her a new perspective on her ability, allowing her to expand it, and even communicate with the people in her cellularly connected network. (ie. She creates a linked network between herself and the people who are related or most important to her, in this link they can communicate in a way, but only in a… it’s hard to explain unless you’re really into plants, or are a plant. Just think of it as a root network, with Emilia being the tap root. As more roots grow they join her “family” and let her see and experience things, and vise versa with her joining their family and letting them see and experience things.) (And yes, Emilia is immune to the affects of plant-based toxins and poisons)

Limits:

Vegetative Mimicry: Emilia can only adopt the attributes of plants three at a time, no more no less, and can only get more with the more people that are attached to her “sensory network”. When someone leaves the network, however, depending on their importance and how many have already left her “bubble” it can be detrimental to both her and her abilities. A toll that is emotional occurs, but more than that she loses one more attribute she can adopt than she gained (so she starts with 3, gains a “follower”, loses 1 follower and then ends up with 2 attributes). She can adopt one attribute for twenty four hours and with each attribute added it subtracts 3 hours from the amount of time that she is able to adopt said attribute. Overall, though, she is able to pull it off well without much issue except chronological and numerical constraints.

Emilia’s emulations have deeper limitations, though, such as the inability to mimic more specialized capabilities such as plant healing due to the fact she’d have to develop a root system. In addition she can’t project externally on a large scale meaning to fire seeds at people she’d have to make use of her own biomass for solid objects, and for liquids or gasses she has to dehydrate herself on different levels (ranging from chapped lips for a small amount, to liquid deprivation for covering an entire room) depending on how much of a liquid or gas she is creating for the plants, all of these things can be lethal if taken too far and in substantially large amounts (ie. dozens upon dozens of seeds, or an entire room filled with gas, small areas are fine but large ones are a no-no). In addition she can only create poisons and toxins that are externally projected three times every twenty four hours due to physical constraints and if she bypasses this Emilia can die. As they are externally projected that means that they are simply generated, which means that she can’t manipulate them.

Moving onto the cellularly connected network you know that plants are capable of communicating cellularly, they can think, feel emotions, and this is about all the network amounts to. It amounts to pictures, words, and emotions filtered through Emilia as if she were a router and sent between the rest of the network. Of course it can be corrected and controlled, with training, but at its most basic the members of this network have no control over what they share. (On an OOC note this only applies to player characters that she’s formed actual connections with, and not anyone who is deceased, or is part of her past)

Personality: Emilia is a woman that exudes power, it flows from every crevice of her carefully managed and seemingly ageless body and floods into the outside world with the power of a broken dam as if her confidence is a blade cutting through wavering wills. That is her strength, her brazenness, her bravery unparalleled by the silly thoughts of man that they, of all people, have a bravery capable of taking on her own, capable of tearing it down through sheer thought and willpower. Man has been lied to for countless centuries, eons in fact, they are not the superior life form, the superior life forms are the people who are special, the DNA alternates, the EVOs, whatever you want to call them. These are the people that break their opponents down in the hopes that they, of all people, will be able to break an entire species so as to render them inept, incapable of defending themselves when the onslaught comes. These are the people that Emilia stands up for and will continue to stand up for as long as her life continues onwards. That being said as long as her life continues, as long as her people exist, Emilia will not ever, and I mean ever, back down from her goal of protecting those she considers her children.

Over three life times of trying, trying to be a mother to an entire species, trying to teach her children right from wrong, trying to do so much with so little fruits and so much loss has not dulled or made jaded Emilia one bit. Emilia’s willpower is indomitable like the great beasts of mythological times and washes over all who follow her, all whom she follows, and even those she simply watches by rising up and surrounding her life. No matter the bitterness, the lifelessness, the hopelessness, she does not back down and instead offers these factors that seem to rule over modern life into her home. Even though she keeps up with relevant information, and even though she somehow manages to stay out of touch with pop culture and modern morals, Emilia’s wisdom will continue to act as a guiding force whatever she may choose to be. She excels at life in general by simply taking things in stride and taking advantage of the wisdom of nearly four centuries, of three life times, that has taken a place or a notch or however you want to refer to it in her belt.

The one thing that she can’t stand, though, is the ignorance of man as it continues to prevail even long after the witch trials that she had to endure, even long after her family was executed and burned for being the evolution of a lesser species. This irritates her to no end, igniting an irritable explosion of rage that resides deep within her, igniting wrath unlike any other kind of wrath so that it may seek out and devastate her opponents. The one thing that you do not want to do is be ignorant around her, not about the gays (which she accepted because being hunted is something that they have in common), not about any race, not about her species. Do not make jokes about genocide, or great wars, do not compare her to man or anyone she considers lesser. These are the ways in which your fate will be sealed, for with everyone there is most definitely a darker side fueling them in some way, so just hope that you don’t push her buttons.

Strengths:
Maternal Instincts, she likes to take care of people
Wisdom, Emilia is a very wise person and has been given this skill through her lifetimes
Hope, she hopes that her species can survive
Willpower, her will is indomitable, as indomitable as a stubborn bull
Sacrifice, she is willing to give up what she loves most to insure the survival of the many
Flaws:
Stubbornness
Agitation
Unfamiliar with pop culture
Out of touch with modern morals
Phobia of loss
Likes:
Family
Kids
Naivety
Hope
Love
Dislikes:
Violence, but if necessary she will become violent or promote violence
Hatred
Ignorance
Hopelessness
Negativity

Their Story:

Her Early Years:

Emilia was born in the early 1600’s to an era plagued by ignorance, treachery, war, greed, and a variety of other inhospitable things created only by the thing that people like to call human nature. Emilia’s childhood was supposed to be a great one seeing as how she was born into a wealthy family but as fate would have it this venture would turn out to be anything but what most of the people in England were expecting. Visible all around her was the white marble estate of the wealthy and renowned Barosoque family, a family that was supposed to be exempt from the vile demonizations of society. In the 1600’s, though, no one was safe and in the outskirts of London there were those who would break any law and hold no trial simply because they were highly suspect of what you were. That is what happened to Emilia’s family, on her birthday they barged in and took away her parents and siblings as she hid underneath the table and burnt them to death outside of her home.

That day was the day that everything changed for Emilia, and not just because she lost her family did her life change but also because she herself had changed from her very core, and it wasn’t that she became rotten, no… she became wise. Unlike the other so-called “children of the witches” Emilia wasn’t angry, no, instead she explored the wise part of herself and found some kind of solace in the wisdom that total despair brought to the mind, it was almost soothing. Through some odd methods Emilia discovered what her was, the limited thinking of the 16th century unable to hold her back despite that being all it had tried to do to women let alone the only child to inherit the massive fortune of so-called “witches”. She discovered what she was, and the limited thinking of the 16th century seemed completely irrelevant to her as she realized that no interaction with “supernatural” forces had occurred except for the eclipse on the night of her parent’s death. She was told that one like it happened on her birth, this eclipse in particular deactivated her abilities just before she came out of the womb and reactivated her parent’s abilities and it was soon that she linked her powers to the sun. Of course it was this same limited thinking of the 16th century that kept her from truly exploring the depths of what this meant, and it wouldn’t be until much later that the fire that had been sparked would be stoked once more.

In the later days of the 1600’s when technology was about to accelerate absurds amount with the advent of the first world war less than a decade later, the outskirts of England around her were far too out for the development in the center of London to reach her estate. The village she lived in was still a small village, but many of the houses had developed into sprawling manors with servants living inside of them and no other houses seeming to exist except for those where newer people came to. It was all a very interesting set-up and it was in this land that Emilia realized she was truly alone, so the woman with the appearance of a thirty year old who was now nearly 200 years old had decided to embark on a journey. She wasn’t sure where her adventure would take her, or what she would do, but as tensions in the globe grew high the woman knew that the need to find a place to settle down among everything would be necessary. The capital of the world, New York City, seemed like a nice place to go and get situated in; it was certainly different with the size it had, and the amount of people that lived there, and the innovations and wonder that took place. Perhaps she could fulfill her dreams there, or even find people like her if they hadn’t been weeded out by centuries of witch trials and millennia of human ignorance and hatred focused at what was superior or foreign to it. Maybe she could find her smile again.

The 20th Century:

The dawn of the twentieth century saw many things happen including the United States expanding into countless nations through their armed forces and becoming much like the empires that Emilia saw in her days. She moved outside of New York City in the hopes to find something more about who she was, or better what she was, and so she did what was necessary to do that. The woman herself took a different route and applied what knowledge she knew, and her education from the U.K., to get higher education at Harvard and at one point Yale to avoid suspicion by simply paying for it with the wealth that she had retained and built up over the centuries. The event of finally hammering out the details of photosynthesis attracted her to a higher education, making the woman want to understand her abilities and plants more and more. She began her education with an explosion, her curiosity finally sated as time went along and she discovered the truth about her abilities. It was finally revealed to her, with her majoring in botanical studies and minoring in cosmological physics, with a second minor in applied physics (that’s one doctorate and two master’s), that the event which had coincided with the appearance of her abilities seemed to be a completely natural event. She was almost sure it wasn’t supernatural before, but now she had the upmost confidence in her decision to state that what happened was simply an occurrence of nature, a freak occurrence that evolved humanity.

Emilia’s expertise in botany, cosmological physics, and applied physics had caught the eye of a corporation devoted to applying their knowledge in the form of environmentally powered technologies that were active in every field ranging from cosmetology to weaponization of solar energies to shoot down drones. While it was a company with ground breaking technologies, Emilia wanted something more for them and this ambition caused her to take on a proactive role in an attempt to make the com[any larger. You see, despite all of the success they had seen, the corporation spent the majority of their money on R&D and manufacturing all of their products in-house to insure that the upmost quality was achieved. No matter what methods the corporation took, and even though they weren’t on the edge of bankruptcy, they didn’t grow all that fast and grew too slowly for them to become one of the larger corporations. After the death of a higher up member Emilia applied for their position and became the CRO of InVertiGo, Co. and the Vice President of the Board.

Her ambition once the CEO had retired got Emilia the position of CEO, and finally Emilia, despite some amount of success, would have enough juice in the company to make drastic enough changes to get this small start-up a big larger. While unlikely to become a multi-billion dollar corporation without a large amount of time passing by, time that Emilia certainly had, she did her best to update and modify everything that could make the corporation better. Their labs didn’t need any upgrades, seeing as how they were some of the most advanced research centers on the planet, but the necessity to modify the hierarchy and just about everything else was made prevalent. In her work Emilia stated new quotas for each employee, raised the importance of each current employee and lowered the amount they hired by paying larger amounts and insuring constant education under a mentor system for even the most experienced employees so they could constantly learn. It was all taking quite a large amount of time, so Emilia devoted several decades of her life to pulling strings behind the scenes, lying, and doing a variety of other things to make sure that no one figured out why she wasn’t aging as fast as other beings. She even devoted her blood cells, and by the turn of the century her corporation had opened a medicinal wing based entirely on the knowledge obtained from her blood in the most secretive of ways.

A Modern Day:

After yet another century had passed Emilia found herself leaving what had become her hometown to found a new headquarters for her corporation in New York City, which was becoming a hot spot in the world. It had been a long time since she had seen it last. In fact it was just after the second World War that she had seen it lost and it was sufficient to say that a lot had changed. The Twin Towers were something that she visited just before they went down, and she mourned with the rest of the world because she had stationed an office for her company there and what happened was most tragic. It was unfortunate what had happened but Emilia had other offices and as such she had to get over it fast, but those were her babies and her babies needed to be taken care of. Someone who shared the same feelings as her met her at one of the company’s keynotes, Emilia found them to be one of the more enjoyable people around so they started seeing each other more. After nearly a year of seeing each other Emilia was proposed to and she accepted the marriage, and sixteen years later the fruits of that love would appear despite another tragedy hitting the Barosoque.

Emilia’s lover, Isaac Barian, who she had taken the name of but got rid of said surname because of the memories that it caused, fell onto the rails just as one of the trains on a subway passed by. The impact hit the pregnant Emilia way harder than she wanted it to, and for the second time in her life she experienced true loss not unlike that when she lost her mother, her father, her brother, and her sister. The trauma barely allowed Barosoque’s professional stability to stay intact, and despite everything that she had gone through in life it still managed to affect her as if this was her first trauma. Emilia hoped that one day she would recover but with a baby coming on and no husband for her, and no father for the child, she couldn’t do anything about the fact that it would affect her family forever. The future of the Barosoque name seemed to be in her hands at that moment and her choice was to keep it alive, to keep it powerful, to keep it confident, brave and renowned.

Eighteen years later with the woman having barely aged in appearance, external and internal, her heart beat as strong as the heart of the strongest, youngest athletes and continued to support her. Emilia’s child had been the victim of a dead father and a mother who seemed distant, but in actuality Emilia simply was busy but not so busy as to not spend any time with him for she did put aside time for him. This didn’t change a thing of course, I mean you know how teenagers are affected and how they get hurt by things such as this but Emilia couldn’t forget her entire life just to take care of her child. She sacrificed a lot and no more sacrifices were needed in a day and age when sacrifice after sacrifice was given to the darkness of the world by people every day. The most interesting things happened in 2the 1980's, and that’s when we get off on our journey for her, so let whatever may happen, whether chaos or even a creation of order, occur as we end the story of Emilia Lilian Barosoque… for now.

RP Sample:

The sun was shining outside of the well-lit room the group was inside, no lights flickered, the walls had what appeared to be ageless paint, the table was a sleek silver beauty with a clear gorilla glass center. Emilia sat in a chair at the end of the table, away from the door near the front of the room where the projector was just about to be turned on for her keynote on the affect of their technology on human beings. She stood up and made way to the front of the room, her walk was eloquent and trained, it was the enticing walk of a beautiful woman who knew how to use her body and mind simultaneously. The wise and old DNA alternate got her control devices for the keynote and waited for everyone to start paying attention to her as if the room was a classroom full of children. Sometimes it seemed like that, that it was indeed a class room filled with inattentive high schoolers playing on their cell phones, typing on their laptops or, in general, doing something that had nothing to do with what was going on.

Once everyone put their devices away, without Emilia having to even say or do a thing except stand there with a small smile and a gaze of sternness I might add, the small smile on her face grew and she gave satisfactory ‘mm’. Emilia didn’t have to say anything to let the group know that she was about to begin speaking, in fact they knew what was about to come so they were pretty much used to the stance she took. The stance Emilia took just before speaking was a confident one, one that prepared her vocal chords for the use of a powerful, room filling voice that sounded quite eloquent when combined with her uniquely ancient British accent.

“For the last five years we have been conducting a study on the human genome in regards to how said genome is affected by our technologies,” the first slide was one of a human DNA helix being injected with a syringe that looked to be filled with nothing but a computer chip. The second slide was a more realistic image that was actually taken, and was that of a man with a growth in his left eye. “As you can see, prolonged exposure to our unprotected first generation of solar-powered devices has done extensive damage to this man’s eye. At a larger scale it has done something that has caused his eye to be covered by a hard, stone-like material that caused blindness. Thought to be related to cancer, we studied it and successfully removed the growth but it simply regenerated and spread throughout his body, covering his skin. That is why, with the second generation of InVertiGo, Co. technologies we are going to take responsibility for what we did by replacing all first generation devices with their updated models, but only if their model is said to have caused such a reaction. I wish to introduce to you the next generation of the world, simply called Mercury. Mercury is an advanced line of technologies powered by hydrogen and solar cells with a mercury alloy that absorbs the energies and stores them in liquid form. While this isn’t my greatest keynote, seeing as how I am sick right now, it gets to the point. Any questions?” She asked curiously, having gone through several slides and keynotes. When no one answered she let the next board member take over and host the keynote for his department.

A picture flashed by in her mind as she sat down and excused herself for a moment, but told everyone to continue. Emilia looked on her smartphone to find the GPS tracker of her son and sighed as the damned contraption just asked her what she wanted to do with the GPS tracker, a list of options ranging from deactivating it to deactivating the phone popped up. Emilia frowned and scrolled through, looking for ‘find location’, and once found she gave a sigh of relief as she realized he was at home with one of his “friends”. That’s when she was able to return to the boardroom, her child could have been in danger.

ISAAC ROMAN BARIAN-BAROSOQUE

PLAYED BY ERA THE MIND

Name: Isaiah Roman Barian-Barosoque
Alias(es): Isa, Roman, Rome

Marital Status: Single
Current Location: New York City, New York
Occupation: Student, Model, Heir to the Barian and Barosoque fortunes
Affiliations: The Barosoque Estate, the Mercury-Vulcan Corp.

What They Look Like:

Eyes: Brown
Hair: Blonde
Height: 5’7”
Weight: 110 pounds

Face Claim: Mitch Hewer

Powers: Mass Umbrakinesis is the ability of an entity like Isaiah to manipulate darkness and shadows on a massive scale to achieve a variety of effects by molding and shaping it to their whim. By gathering energies from a shadowy dimension resting beneath the shadows, the void, and the darkness he can manipulate darkness in such a way that is unpredictable. With an unknown maximum range based entirely on Isaiah’s current emotional state Isaiah may not have any control over his ability but it is sure potent. Isaiah’s umbrakinetic capabilities allow him to, with concentration or when slightly ticked, black out light bulbs, make a room dimmer, or remove all darkness and shadow from a room, but with practice could do much more than that. Considered extremely dangerous, the eighteen year old is devoted to bringing his powers under control and hopes that one day he will be able to use his powers without going into a near-meditative state or during an extreme emotional state.

The darkness he manipulates tends to be cold, and can cause hypothermia if you’re in contact with it for too long, and in addition it can cause people to feel sad or can cause them to see a death omen. Isaiah for instance is capable of knowing when someone’s going to die if they are going to die when standing in a shadow, or when their death is imminent and depressing and therefore “dark”. His ability is an abstract one and it allows Isaiah to do many things passively, most of which are dark passive attributes that will grow or appear as his ability develops but for now he’s stuck with this curse. The aftermath of his abilities seems to be a curse that causes the “good” probability of the person’s life who owns it to go down and therefore gives them bad luck, and sometimes can even result in hallucinations. The psychological effects of Isaiah’s powers can range from slight depression, to temporary hallucinations, to full-blown, long term psychosis and affects everyone who touches it. Whatever emotion a person is feeling at the moment they are touched by the darkness Isaiah is manipulating is enhanced to the point that it becomes unmanageable.

Isaiah is a powerful, unstable being with the capacity to achieve so much more than he is currently capable of doing if he gets control over his powers to the point that his emotions don’t affect him too badly. His capacity to manipulate darkness is unparalleled, but the issue is that he hasn’t got control over it so much as it has control over him and that’s why he’s currently looking for someone, or some people, to mentor him. When in an extreme emotional state Isaiah has the capacity to create unstable vortexes or black out every electronic device and the entire electrical grid of the west coast and surround areas. Even when angered only slightly Isaiah’s abilities can manifest in the form of lightbulbs breaking, entire rooms dimming, the electricity going out for a few moments and can cause issues in day-to-day life. His powers are dangerous to both him and others, and if angered too much could potentially suck himself and the people around him into a vortex which would effectively kill both him and the others.

The darkness that Isaiah manipulates or generates or molds or projects has the tendency to stop electronics and electric anything not because of EMP’s but because of the high amount of ions in them. These ions cause electronics to power down or turn off, and can even permanently damage electronics or bypass EMP protection because ions require a different kind of protection, but don’t cause harm to others. In effect his Mass Umbrakinesis seems to have the focus of forcing mankind back into the stone age by snuffing out the light through any means necessary. An addition to this is that even if he hasn’t manipulated a darkness Isaiah can “feel” motions and heat, smell scents, and in general sense things shadows and in dim, or dark, rooms because of the disruption caused by such movements which makes him spatially aware as long as there isn’t too much light. This results in a very interesting ability that, once fully realized, has the potential to make Isaiah either a dangerous individual with highly destructive tendencies or a dangerous individual that just wants everything to be okay, it all depends on what happens.

Weaknesses:

Mass Umbrakinesis: Isaiah’s capacity to manipulate darkness and shadows only really works as long as there is darkness or shadows to manipulate, and if there isn’t any at all he can’t even project much at all. If he could teleport things by warping them Isaiah wouldn’t be able to do so if there was too much light, I mean sure he could probably summon up a blast of darkness from within himself but he couldn’t do major things because there wouldn’t be enough of his fuel around him. That’s the issue with manipulating darkness and coming up against people who manipulate light, the more light there or the less shadows there means that he is weaker. Of course as long as there is darkness he can manipulate that, as long as even a corner has a shadow he can control that and cause it to attack people, or draw power from it to make more darkness but if there is too much light his powers are useless. It’s an issue that many umbrakinetics come up against when using their abilities, but thankfully for Isaiah he can at least generate a little bit of darkness to use and if used smartly he could try to overwhelm the light but there’s a reason why his abilities try to do away with light and electricity at any time possible.

Isaiah’s abilities are uncontrollable not only due to his emotions but also due to the fact that his passive capabilities can’t exactly be managed and can pop up at any time to bother the poor boy and make his day harder. Isaiah can rarely use his abilities unless in a zen-like state, and only has control over his powers, well, uncontrol when under intense stress that could cause his power to be dangerous to himself and others; it’s because he’s so emotional when using his powers that he has very little control of what it makes and therefore it is a rush of pure power. It’s something that can be overcome with time but at this moment Isaiah isn’t someone who is in the position to do that for himself. Still, with time this could become something irrelevant or controllable but in its current state his powers cause him issues in day to day life and he’d do anything to get out from under their shadow...

Future Development: Isaiah has the capability to develop an array of abilities with his powers, and develop the capacity to warp teleport himself and others by accessing shadows, and with practice could develop significantly. One of the things he could learn to do is take control of shadows directly to form them into three dimensional shapes and use those for a variety of things. The teenager wants to develop this capacity, the capacity to control his vortexes, the capability to travel to the shadow realm and bring others with him, and the capability to block out senses, and eventually to fly but right now he’s very limited in what he can do unless he is allowed or allows himself to get into a heavy, emotional situation (IE. he’s allowed to go out on a mission by whoever gets to him first (whether it be X-Men or Brotherhood or HFC/Hellions or whatever) or he is captured and harmed). In addition due to his mother’s abilities he has the potential to develop the capability to absorb light.

Personality: Isaiah isn’t your average gay guy, and yeah he likes to laugh, and love, and have fun, and is sweet but Isaiah isn’t your typical gay guy and even if he was you’d still have this yearning just to love who he, or punch him in the face. Isaiah doesn’t hate, he just dislikes people who disapprove of who he is, and he’s really defensive about it to be honest but he still doesn't hate people who are mean, or rude, or bullies. Isaiah likes to have fun and live life as it comes along since he recognizes his youth, attractiveness, and life are simply all temporary in some form or another so what someone thinks or believes is irrelevant since they are temporary as well. It’s not that he doesn’t care or anything it’s just that he finds it kind of silly to get hung up on things when, obviously, everything will get what's coming to it in some form. The kind heart inside of him hopes that everyone realizes what they did was wrong and is able to repent for their hatred, because obviously God will forgive a loving gay more than a hateful Christian.

Despite Isaiah’s niceness, he still has personal junk that he needs to work through and just like everyone else he’s not perfect enough to work through his own issues without the professional help of other people. He’s obsessed with proving his mother, his beautiful, caring, oddity of a mother with her weird plant mimicking abilities, that she’s wrong when it comes to people like him, that she's wrong to say that she can love him and still dislike people like him. That’s not his only obsession, though, he wants to constantly improve himself and become better so that his mom doesn't have anything to complain about. Another thing is that he tends to get obsessed with everything, he likes to explore new things, and does so many different things that it overwhelms him and he freaks out. Isaiah is a pretty great guy once you get past all of his personal junk and his tendency to overdo things, so just hope you enjoy him more than you do the other, less nice people in this world.

Their Story:

Isaiah, born to Isaac Barian and Emilia Barosoque eighteen years ago, was given birth to by a mother who, despite the hell she went through, was still managing to be peaceful and wise and a father, who despite having a good life, managed to be angry and scorned. Isaiah was destined. Isaiah must have been destined for such a unique duo, because this unique duo is one turned Isaiah into who he is today; personality, hopes, dreams and all seem to spawn from his heritage of sorrow and his heritage of intellect. He was made to be happy, and angry, and sad, all at the same time in a combination that was more human, more connected, and more emotional than his mother and father before him and the generation before that. I suppose that is what makes Isaiah who he is, he wasn’t born into a normal family so all he has sought is to be as human as possible so that he doesn’t lose his connection. That’s not to say his mother is emotionless, no, she’s far from that, it’s just that she isn’t as connected with modern day society as Isaiah hoped for her to be.

Isaiah’s life is one that has been plagued by something that lives aren’t usually plagued by, it’s been plagued by happiness but not the acceptance he had hoped for from his family, an acceptance that would have let him be truly happy. Isaiah is happy with who he is, but he’s not too happy with the way things are around him and though he can’t change them he can do his best to change the opinion of his mother. His father was a precognitive who committed suicide because he saw, that in the future, his son would be a homosexual and that’s something that Isaiah had found in a letter left to his mother before his father killed himself. That’s something that his mother isn’t too accepting of either, she doesn’t hate him because of who he is but is quite unhappy with the fact that the Barosoque family bloodline won’t be continued. He’s tried to convince her that he can get a surrogate mother and have his sperm injected into the egg of the woman so that the line continues, but that isn’t good enough… apparently.

The poor boy’s life is full of angsty and being a pariah that at the same time has so many friends it’s overwhelming, and he likes to organize his schedule so he can hang out with the groups individually. The issue that his life is kind of contradictory in that he’s a pariah from his family, or what’s left of it, from the church, and he seems to love his mother but still can’t stand her because of her old-age morals. It’s difficult living like this and Isaiah isn’t sure he’ll be able to handle it forever, and hopefully he won’t have to but perhaps, one day he’ll be accepted by his mother and that’ll take some stress off his shoulders. Maybe he’ll just end up only being with his friends, and avoiding his mother and her almost bigotry completely so that he doesn’t have to suffer through her odd looks, or the excitement with an underlying tone of disappointment, because she won’t have a grandchild from both him and his partner. Sometimes he secretly wonders if he’s over-stressing, or even if he’s making sense, but yank’s how it is with kids, with these teens that roam the streets after school, and enter houses and do crazy things, it’s… well, this is the life of your gay American boy.

RP Sample:

The sound of music pounded in his ears, it wasn’t even good music and Isaiah thought the song had horrible lyrics yet he couldn’t help but to love the beat of the music as it caressed his eardrum with its overwhelming loudness. It wasn’t just the music, though, it was the feel of the place that surrounded the well dressed party-goer who had come here to have a drink, see friends, and have a night of fun. Speaking of friends, those were the people who surrounded him right now with a few of them dancing more closely against him than the outer circle of his friends seemed to. The group held an odd air to them, like they knew they were different, and as they danced you could tell that they knew that they had something, that everyone in the group was “special” or about to become “special. Their aura was a mixture of danger, fun, sweat, blood, and forgotten sorrow as everyone had the time of their lives in one of the greatest night clubs in the nation. This was the one place that people like them, that people like Isaiah, could be themselves and escape from the sorrows of the world, an underground for children that were unique… children that were special.

Isaiah bounced up and down, enjoying the feeling of becoming unraveled as he bathed in the rapidly blinking orb lights smiling down upon them like a God who was finally happy with the children he had created. The eighteen year old may not have had his abilities manifest yet but here, here he felt accepted and as if he could truly be himself around these people even when everywhere else he felt like an outcast. Isa’s hands went up over his head and he ground against one of his friends, who returned the favor with a giggle, and the two ensued in a dance of fun and ecstasy like those only the greatest of friends could enjoy. The boy’s name was Tyler Benotia, he was one of the elites that Isaiah hangs out with and the dynamic duo used to date but right now they were simply having fun. Isaiah let a laugh escape from his lips, it fought past the blaring sound nearly echoing off of the walls around them and it reached into the ears of the Tyler, who giggled back.

There were still a few feelings between the former couple, but they had gone through a mutual break up based on the decision that the friendship they shared, the closeness, the kinship was more important than a romantic one. That’s why they had to be careful around each other, lest the two accidentally fall in love again, but perhaps they were still in love for as Isaiah bounced up and down, feet moving, arms pumping, body twisting Tyler wrapped around him when they were dancing. It was one of the greatest feelings to be welcomed by such a great friend, and it was made evident that the people in this room shared a closeness that other people simply didn’t in a way that let them merge together like pieces of differently colored clay that blended to make one beautiful shade. Oh, and what a beautiful shade the few, the wonderfully adept, focused, intelligent, and confident few the dozens of children made as they danced and happiness filled the room. Not only was this a place where many of them felt accepted, but it was a place where many of them expected the only joy in their lives; luckily for the noble blooded boy dancing now he had joy elsewhere, for he wasn’t a miserable one, no, he enjoyed who he was and wouldn’t let anything get in the way of that.

I was going to do a robot, but I decided not to for the sake of the RP, because then it'd ruin the point of the RP I think. Plus, you'd be the most targeted player in the RP by the big bads, and wouldn't survive very long :/

Occupation: CEO of the Mercury-Vulcan Group
Affiliations: The Mercury-Vulcan Group, Barosoque Estate, no other affiliations

What They Look Like:

Hair: Reddish brown
Eyes: Brown

Stubbornness
Agitation
Unfamiliar with pop culture
Out of touch with modern morals
Phobia of loss

Kids
Naivety
Hope

Violence, but if necessary she will become violent or promote violence

You really should mould your applications to our application.
Where must we go, we who wander this wasteland, in search for our better selves?
In Egypt's sandy silence, all alone,
Stands a gigantic Leg, which far off throws
The only shadow that the Desert knows:—
"I am great OZYMANDIAS," saith the stone,
"The King of Kings; this mighty City shows
"The wonders of my hand." The City's gone,
Nought but the Leg remaining to disclose
The site of this forgotten Babylon.

We wonder, and some Hunter may express
Wonder like ours, when thro' the wilderness
Where London stood, holding the Wolf in chace,
He meets some fragment huge, and stops to guess
What powerful but unrecorded race
Once dwelt in that annihilated place.

I was going to do a robot, but I decided not to for the sake of the RP, because then it'd ruin the point of the RP I think. Plus, you'd be the most targeted player in the RP by the big bads, and wouldn't survive very long :/

I want to be a T-850. That way, if they hit me with anything powerful enough to destroy me, it'd rupture my hydrogen fuel cells and kill them too.

Also, I would not be the most targeted as a terminator since I'd just look like a normal person.

Yeah, this ain't happening. Pretty sure OP wants original characters.

It's also a godmod ability. The whole "I die, you die" is one of the classic forms of Godmod. I move that we disallow all robots due to the fact that this is insinuated to be a primarily human RP, nd due to the fact it revolves around superhumans and not robots.

Marital Status: Widowed
Current Location: New York City, New York
Occupation: CEO of the Mercury-Vulcan Group
Affiliations: The Mercury-Vulcan Group, Barosoque Estate, no other affiliations

What They Look Like:

Hair: Reddish brown
Eyes: Brown

Agitation
Unfamiliar with pop culture
Out of touch with modern morals
Phobia of loss

Kids
Naivety
Hope

You really should mould your applications to our application.

It wasn't detailed enough, and if I changed it it would mess up the "flow". My apps always flow in a certain way, so that you read all the information you need about a certain thing before and after that certain thing, with the "after" being "add-ons". In most apps I just switch things around a little, and rarely add additional categories, and, if I do, they are VERY minor. However, with this template, I had to add details, and fix the "flow". I believe that "flow" can drastically improve an application ^_^
