It has been five years (now 2022) since the authoritarian world government, known as “The Order”, was overthrown by various global rebellions that occurred in the same time frame that accumulated in revolution and the disbandment of the world order. New governments would rise and so would the desire to learn about the past of the land they inhabit to create national identities. Governments incentivized people to find anything they can about the history which would lead to the creation of the History Hunters, a job that specializes in doing exactly that. Almost overnight, various types of business sprang up around the idea, gathering people willing to find and eager to learn about the histories long suppressed by “The Order.” One such business was the Past Discovery International Agency, a small company composed of roughly 500 employees, more than half of which are deployed on the field all over the world, based somewhere in the URA. In one particular case, a team was sent to down to the nation of Poland to help its fledgling government in building its national identity.
A nation finding itself between the massive landmass of Russia and Franco-Germany, it struggles to keep out outer influences from the two nations. Hoping that knowing it’s history would help the population grow to be more patriotic, they hired the Past Discovery International Agency and several other History Hunter businesses to aid in that endeavor. Already gaining the ire of the local History Hunters, it hasn't been a particularly easy task as all around for the PDIA, with the country seems to be preparing for war.
Luckily (or unluckily) for you, you were one of the employees chosen to work over in Europe, whether it be for your experience, powers, or other reasons. Amongst the old and new faces of the company, it is your job to find any substantial evidence that can help in developing a stronger tie to the past, before the Order took over. At the same time avoiding and resolving any problems that come your way, which may range from facing sabotage from rival companies to making sure you don't get involved in the politics around the country. After all, you are not a superhero but a private citizen that is employed by the PDIA. Good luck and stay safe out there!
General Rules:
- My word is law and therefore must be obeyed once I have finalized it. The same goes for any Co-OP I might have, unless I say so otherwise. I am for the most part a very lenient OP, but should you break the rules I have established or did not discuss them with me, I will boot you out of the RP, no questions.
- No controlling other characters but your own, no using of OOC information to give benefits to any character, and your character can get hurt and die. There will be no absolutely invincible characters, they for the most part make for poor characters and are often nothing more than a monkey in the wrench for the plots that develop in the IC. And should your character do something idiotic, I will roll an online twenty-sided die to determine the fate of your character. A great example is taking on a tank which has infantry support by yourself, without the abilities or skill to survive it.
- Despite the fantastical nature of the setting, there will be a semblance of realism here. That means, unless your character has the ability to create a hammerspace, cannot carry an inordinate amount of munition and weapons.
- I find it acceptable for your character to act like an asshole, but that doesn’t mean you can be. In other words, no being an asshole in the OOC. Calm and controlled discussion is fine on the, but an argument that devolves into petty shit (name calling, personal attacks, etc.) is not. If you have one, TG or use another form of messaging.
- One/Two-Liners are unacceptable, as such, all post must be at least compose of three sentences. Preferably though, a post should be five sentences at least, but I’ll let three to four liners slide. Usually though, if they’re that short, you can always add more details in general.
- Any rules that come after this holds the same weight as the previous rules. Follow them like all of them and all should be fine.
- I will only accept players and applications who have read the entirety of the rules, as signifies that they are less likely to break them. Now to get the proof or best chance of proof, read the hashtags at the bottom of the example application and paste them at the bottom of your application.
Character and Power Rules:
- Please consider using this guideline (in regards to those appropriate for this RP) when making your character. Another suggestion for a resource to be used is the Superpower Wiki when looking for powers or ideas for such. Lastly, there is one power that will be immediately rejected from participating within the RP, and that is Immortality. Mind you, not all kinds of immortality, something like Partial Immortality or Semi-Immortality is negotiable. In the event where you can find the powers in the provided resource, simply ask me directly and we'll discuss it.
- Looking at weaknesses, I just have to say that I love character flaws. I think every character should have at least one, but that's not a proper weakness for a power, especially if its a strong power. Even the strongest superpowered character had something that could take them down, main example is Superman which was pretty much a god was susceptible to being weakened or be killed by Kryptonite. Give your character's powers have a weakness or limitation of sorts.

Thoughts on this for anybody interested?
While the term 'History Hunters' brings to me memories of 90s point and click edutainment I'm not complaining ^_^ This is awesome work.
