Well somehow, the 4th of July- playing a democratic US in HOI4 even while players on the forums act like your 'not cool' for that- and me doing it anyways because I don't play it like a war game- has in association with this video; increased patriotism.

The players on the Paradox forum don't see the game as I do- they wouldn't understand. Heck I offered to play with them and they haven't been interested.

Avalon; you still got HOI4- this computer runs it- so we can finally do a co-op if your still up for it.

Vicky 2 is my favorite Stellaris was getting close to that position but then they took away the option to select a civilization's FTL drive and Weapon tech during creation so I could no longer theme my creations the way I use to. I enjoy Vicky 2 for it's historical focus and feel base game HOI4 is too much of a war game for me.

Which is why I've resorted to mods that make it less of a war game- like Kaiserriech which is more of an interactive alternate history narrative and has become my favorite mod.

Due to all the German themes going around NS (Ryn's RP for example) and at home (been playing Kaiserriech)- I've... got an idea.

Mittelafrika

Germany won the first world war, at least won in as best it could have managed. It's obtained colonial holdings in Africa yet lost it's holdings in the pacific due to Japan's efforts during the Great War. The world is a different place then OTL- in France a defeatist populace has turned to communism, and in England a man named Moseby climbs towards political leadership. You may be wondering where did this world begin to diverge? It's a simple point; Russia didn't intervene in the Great War- the Tsar heeding the advice of Rasputin who prophesied that should Russia intervene it will be the end of the monarchy. The Tsar also stayed firm to his cousin's requests for peace. With this the Tsar was able to focus on issues closer to the stability of the Empire. It was the first of many divergences in the world's history.

Another world war isn't yet upon the land but tensions are growing- the foundations being laid.

Yet here we focus on German Middle Africa....

Born partially from the setting of a video game/short story I'll probably never make (it was going to be like Tomb Raider but focused on Hanna Rietsch in an alternate history where she became a missionary pilot in Central Africa due to an Imperial victory).

I'm not sure where I would take the setting or even if Africa need be a focus. But somehow I find the scenario presented regarding German Victory and the aftermath more believable- I know that in Kaiserreich the developers agreed not to have fascism in the setting but somehow the notion of Fascist Britain and Communist France sounds more believable then Britain and France being Communist with a Democratic Russia (Kaiserreich).

The developers where not keen on Fascist Britian so they created a scenario that prevents it in their alternate history.

I might be rambling now- so I'll be direct- looking for ideas on what sort of adventures to have in the setting as characters (a character RP); any suggestions? As stated I don't think I"ll get around to making a video game in the setting or writing a short so exploring it with RP sounds a route I can perform.

Just let me know the date. I'm sure my brother will be interested as well. Although him and I may not play the states. He wants to do a Death or Dishonor Czech game, but I haven't picked up the DLCs. I'll likely get them all when they all go on sale, hopefully when Man the Guns releases. I avoided the steam sale in DoD and Together in Victory do not add enough alone to justify them in my eyes.
