She blinked.

That was odd...

I've never had a brother.

What sort of 'memory' was that?

Cade sighed. "I guess it depends...some days it's nice, but others..." He sighed. "I'm the youngest of nine, and being in that position isn't always the greatest. It also doesn't help that even though all of them are four years older than me or more, they seem to never mature..." He shook his head. "Basically, everyday is full of pranks, teasing, a wonderfully large collection of physical harm, and a good sibling fight or three." He laughed a bit, shaking his head. "It's absolutely horrible, but I still love them. They are my family, after all." Cade smiled widely. "I don't really have a choice otherwise."

"It sounds... nice," she said sadly.

... I wish I had a family.

He shrugged. "Sometimes I wonder...how different my life would be if I was an only child. It isn't all good times and sibling roughhousing, you know. There are a lot of real, actual fights, being that most of my siblings are boys. It gets far past what's okay for siblings, and one or the other ends up regretting it. The arguments can get nasty fast, some to the point where we curse each other and wish the other were never born. That isn't very safe when we all have magical powers, you know. Other times when we're angry, we destroy each others' personal possessions, and that usually ends up with another fight." He almost seemed a bit sad as he spoke. "I've got more than a few scars to prove of those."

He'd always had a fear of heights, a fear of falling. He couldn't fly, after all, and his powers werent really strong enough to save him from the imminent death of falling from heights. It only took one fall when he was younger, from a tree, when he'd broken a leg that the fear stuck with him.

He smiled, seeing her excitement. "I am going to dress as a villain from an anime...Ahhh...I do not know who, yet. I will act like I am going to capture you, and then take you somewhere. Inari will help me...then Hamiri will act as the hero and lead you and Patriah to me...Once that has happened, we will act as if we are going to face-off, but instead of fighting...I will give you the puppy!" he told her.

Otohime nods, "Lux, this idea, you're a genius!" She looks back at the door, "He'll love it..." This should be fun, and I even get a puppy out of it!

Amaterasu walked up to Ryujin slowly, tapping him gently on the shoulder.

"Ryujin... We need to talk."

He turned around, smiling when he saw her, "What's up honey? I was just about to come looking for you..." He stops, frowning, "Why the long face?" He rubs her arms a bit, trying to find out what's wrong, "There's nothing you can tell me that'll upset me you know, unless I need to pound someone for you." He smiles, "Now come on, tell me what's wrong."

Otohime nods, "Lux, this idea, you're a genius!" She looks back at the door, "He'll love it..." This should be fun, and I even get a puppy out of it!

"Ugh...I feel like my stomach just got rolled by a vehicle tire...I'm going to have to get used to doing that, before I give Hamiri any baby-dragon snuggles...ugh..." he muttered.

He nodded, grinning mischievously. "Yeah...heheheh...you could say that..." he laughed.

Meanwhile, Lux also hurried over, looking for Hamiri. "Hamiri, ahhhhh...can I speak to you for a few moments, also?" he asked.

Patriah looked over at Hamiri, and she looked over at him. She smirked, and then she looked over at Lux. "Sure! What's up?"

Lux took her hand and walked around the corner with her. He then told her the entire prank planned, whispering so Patriah would not hear him.

Hearing this idea for a prank, her eyes glittered slyly. "Lux, I'm slightly surprised...I mean, I know you're an angel and you're super-intelligent, but...heh...this is a really clever prank you've made, and so quick!...I like it. Are you sure you don't wanna rest a bit, though? We're going to be flying all the way to Nepal, it's gonna be a long trip. And you hardly got any sleep last night, from what I heard."

He shook his head. "I will sleep once we get to Nepal, I suppose. It would be best if we left today...after all...when we get back, I...need to attend to other business as well..."

She raised an eyebrow. "Like what?"

He explained to her the situation with his nephew, and how he might be in danger of being used as an experiment. Hamiri was appalled by this, putting a hand over her heart."Oh, Lux...I'll make sure when we get back that we figure-out what's going on. Given Patriah will probably not handle it with care, I'll be the one who'll go with you. Me and Raphael. And we'll make sure Alex is safe and healthy for Christmas."

He smiled gratefully, a tear falling from his eye as she spoke to him. "Ah...thank you Hamiri..." he whispered.

Seeing him tearing a bit, Hamiri walked over and gave him a hug. "Awwww...you're so sweet to everyone...it's about time you had someone help you in return..." she told him.

He nodded, blushing a little, but thankful for the hug.

Letting him go, her face regained its playful expression. "Alright! So we've got it all set, huh? I'll definitely find a good costume. Trust me, I'll make sure that whatever villain you become, I'll give you a good workout," she joked, winking at him.

Lux laughed, and nodded. "And I will be sure to return the favor, Hamiri."

With that, they returned to the group.

Patriah raised an eyebrow, seeing the twinkle in Hamiri's eyes. "What did he tell you?" he questioned, in a hushed voice.

She snickered. "Nothing, nothing. Just how much fun we're gonna have in Japan," she said, kissing him on the nose. "So where did Raphael go?" she asked Otohime.

"He actually considered going to Nepal without winter clothes!" She smiled, letting out a small laugh, "I mean, I wouldn't mind taking care of him, but I don't want my Raphy to be sick!" She then frowned, "Amaterasu-sama and Father were talking about something back there, she looked worried. I wonder what it was..."

Hamiri shrugged. "Raphael's an angel, though, right? Would the cold bother him that much anyway?"

Lux blinked. "It is still good to have a coat...in case someone else needs one..." he piped-in.

He better be ready to go...I wanna see Nepal sometime soon, and at this rate we'll never get anywhere! She smiles, "Of course if you want to stay like this all day I can just eat you."
