While Patriah and Xavier had gotten lost looking for Thana, Joaquin knew exactly where to go. He snuck into the dimension, keeping himself out of the vision of the Eyes of Oblivion-the two hands in which were the two Angels responsible for watching everything in Adam's stead. He then entered right inside the giant open heart, the core of Oblivion, and he began to look around.

He has to be here somewhere...

Joaquin couldn't sense Magic, but he had an idea where to look. He had remembered Adam talking about some secret plans before, and so he headed toward the area in which no Angel was allowed-the Head. He could not fly through the wings covering the face, however, so he had to fly up from the heart, through the body cavity, all the way to the skull.

Oblivion's body cavity was strange. The veins were full of one fluid, and the cavity itself was full of another. A light, silvery fluid that was very warm and sleep-inducing. As he navigated the area, he passed several huge organs, all with their own mysterious functions, and then he made his way to the skull. When he finally got to the skull, he flew into the huge area, through the gap in the chin. When he finally got to solid ground, he remembered to breathe again, and he made an enormous gasp, as he tried to breathe again.

"...Ugh...Oh gosh, that was awful..." he heaved to himself, sitting against a wall made of some sort of bone. Even the bones were not normal-they were a plain white, but soft to the touch, and almost...gooey. How they held anything up was a mystery. And then there were the various strange rooms, all arranged in a circle around a single, glowing object. The glowing object was covered in a golden light, which emanated down from a huge, single eye, watching unblinkingly from the top of the ceiling. Seeing the eye, Joaquin looked slowly up at it, and terror filled him.

He realized now he had definitely been seen.

"...Agh...this was a mistake...Maybe I can get out before he knows I'm-"

A hand touched his shoulder, and he heard a quiet voice in his ear. Ramiel? Have you come to see me? Adam asked unassumingly.

Joaquin whirled around, and he was doubly taken aback. One, it was Adam, and two, he was still disguised as Patriah. The disguise threw him, but the voice was unmistakable, to him, and the two meshed together made an eerie combo.

"...Um...I-I came for Thana..." he admitted.

Adam blinked at him, and then smiled. So you are helping the deities, then? he asked, cocking his head to the side again.

The Angel slowly nodded, not sure what was coming. He looked from him to the glowing item in the middle of the room. "...What is this place?" he asked.

...This...is where the end will begin, Ramiel...You do remember your mission, correct? he reminded him.

Joaquin closed his eyes and nodded again. "Of course..." he muttered.

While Joaquin had his eyes closed, Adam changed his form. Suddenly, he was much shorter, and prettier. In fact, now he was not even a male. Ramiel? You may open your eyes now...

When he did so, he was shocked even further. Now the person standing in front of him was not Patriah, but Hamiri. Though it was still Adam speaking, and he knew it. Nevertheless, seeing the appearance of the girl he secretly crushed-on, he blushed brightly. "Uh...why are you..."

Once again, Adam cocked his head to the side. "Is this not the person you are most comfortable with?" he inquired, frowning slightly.

It took him a moment, but then he realized it. Adam had been watching everything through him the entire time. That was the only way he could have known Joaquin was developing feelings for the beautiful black-haired swordswoman. Which meant he knew the truth...

Joaquin was indeed "defective" himself.

Despite this crushing revelation, Joaquin decided to play along. He didn't want Adam to change into something else, admittedly enough. He was too afraid of what he would turn into next, if he did not accept the form in front of him. "...I-It's fine..." he stammered.

Seemingly satisfied, Adam continued, That's good. Unfortunately, if you want Thana back, you must bring someone that I may keep in their place.

What?! The Angel was horrified. He didn't want to leave anyone in Adam's care. The psychological torture he put people through...Yet at the same time, he didn't want Thana to remain in his care either. A Magical being that strong, lying in Adam's possession, could mean nothing but trouble. He swallowed and nodded, trying to think of someone he could bring in his place.

Would you like me to help you pick someone?

"NO!" Joaquin blurted. When he realized what he had just shouted, however, his eyes widened, and he stepped back. "...I-I'm sorry...I didn't mean it, I was...I-I'll bring you who you want..." he whispered.

Adam smiled again, and he answered, Anyone should be fine. The end-result is all that matters, Ramiel...Now return, and continue your mission.

Joaquin nodded, and bowed slightly. "Yes, my Lord..." he then teleported away.

After he left, Adam returned to his disguise as Patriah, and he walked back over to Thana's room. Yet as he walked by the glowing object, he smiled at it. You will not have to wait much longer...Soon, all will be as it should be...The darkness and the light shall exist as one...

Rosalie saw him, and she jumped out of Arael's arms, hurried over to him, and began to heal his wounds. "There we go...Just relax, okay?" she told him, acting as though nothing had happened to her.

She merely kept the pain to herself, however. Because even she could not decipher her feelings about what Adam had done with her.

Meanwhile, Hamiri was furious. "Adam has him?! What's he planning to do with him?!" she demanded.

"What?!...No! This isn't right! We can't just give away one of our own!...This isn't right!" she shouted.

Arael sighed. "...I will go..." he whispered sadly. He still would not look at anyone.

"No, you can't do that!" Hamiri called to him.

"Why not?...I have nothing to lose..." he continued, bowing his head slightly.

She stood and watched him sadly. She then raised her voice. "I'll do it," she spoke.

Distressed, the Angel turned to her and implored her, "No, please! I do not want anyone else to suffer in my place!"

"Why do you keep thinking you deserve that?!...You haven't done anything wrong, Arael...You don't need to give up on yourself like that..." she told him.

Arael blinked, and looked from her to Rosalie, who was watching them both with big, scared eyes. Why...why can I not be left to suffer, like I should be?

You attacked Patriah, and you may as well have declared war." He dove then, roaring, at the god once again.
"RYUJIN!" Amaterasu screamed. "You just got through dying of cancer, don't you dare do this to me again! Stand down so he'll take it away! Don't you dare die again!"
Rachel slammed the hilt of her glaive into the ground angrily.

"You're all wasting Time! And I don't say that lightly! Just get this idiocy over with already!"
Charlotte just stayed silent.

Every time she spoke, something seemed to go wrong. So she was going to be silent and try to help in that way.

Of course, now that she mentioned it, and a few seconds had passed, he could very much feel the cancer again. And it sucked. Outside, his eyes and scales were already dull, having lost their healthy, reflective azure, and he was sagging a bit. His jaws were peeled back in a snarl though, still, as he stood up shakily, claws digging into the sand in an attempt to find purchase.

His breath sounded like something, possibly an elephant, or more likely a dragon, was dying, and he managed to take an unsteady step towards Raven before coughing. This wasn't a cough like a human would've had either, his entire body convulsed, back arching as a wretched sound escaped his maw just before gallons and gallons of blood that ran across the sand, which refused to absorb it.

But, instead of getting him to not try and tear Raven to pieces, all Amaterasu had done was make him angrier. Much, much angrier. Raven could take it away, the cancer, as effortlessly as he could give it, and yet he, in all his omnipotence, had stood there and let it happen. The whole "he'll take it away," is what brought that to his attention.

His snarl was weaker now, but his size meant that he didn't need to bite Raven to kill him, merely raising a paw above the ground and bringing it down on the god, the impact with the sand a thunderclap, his leg thicker than Raven himself. He couldn't stay faded forever.

Shen Lung, who had descended beside them, growled, watching Ryujin intently, eyes following the weakened dragon, "We don't have time for this 'Adam' character's shit right now. And by the way," now he finally looked at Ianar, and his eyes were burning with fury, "You're an idiot for starting all of this with Raven. If you hadn't joined up with Thana, then Patriah wouldn't have gotten involved. And if he hadn't been hurt, Ryujin wouldn't be dying over there." His lips parted just slightly, a warning growl escaping his throat as fangs gleamed in his human form.

"My plan from the beginning was to shut Thana down Shen....it just failed, and for that I apologize...I started this...and now I must end it....will you side with me again my friend?"
Ianar placed a hand on Shens shoulder
And he took a very sad face

Shen Lung snarled, "Don't feed me bullshit, if you'd wished to stop Thana, you wouldn't have aided him in his plans." He shrugged off Ianar's hand, muscles tense with anger, "You can't stop it now, regardless, until Ryujin's willpower, or his life, runs out. And I think we both know which one of those is going to end first. He's angry. He tried to stop the fighting, and he was blown off. And then Raven might as well have just said that he let Ryujin die of cancer before. He has every right to be wrathful, and so do I!" He shouted the last words, lightning crackling along his flesh.

"I. Said." He turned, taking a step towards Ianar, and roared, his voice booming and as loud as it would've been in his dragon form, "Enough!" Now shut the hell up, and bother someone else!" He snarled as he spun on his heel, turning away from Ianar.

He realized there was no point, so be walked back to everyone
"Im an idiot.....im such a #$@-/ idiot....whats the point..."
Ianar got on his knees
"I caused this! I have betrayed my only friends....and for what? NOTHING"
He turned invisible to hide away
And while invisible...hidden from the world
He cried
Soft tears rolled across his face
Slowly and painfully, emotions swept over him
Reminding him of his weakness.....and his sadness
Ianar just watched his tears fall away....shimmering....beautiful
Something so sad....yet so poetic and graceful
Somehow.....he did not pity himself
He pitied all that he had hurt or annoyed
So ianar knelt...and cried

Raven nodded, clapping his hands twice, and then instantly teleported away from Ryujin's blow, the foot, hitting only earth and sand, floating up in the air before the dragon king, grinning. He snapped his fingers, removing the tumors from the dragon's body.

Raven giveth, Raven taketh away. Please stop. You're only an annoyance at this point.

He then settled back to the sandy ground, clapping his hands, a crystal diagram of the planet forming behind him, distinguishing each foe's region.

As I'm sure you are all quite aware, we still have a ways to go. So, perhaps we should move onward with this, eh? Who do we wish to attack next? And please don't say me. I expect better from you all, than to begin further traitorous behavior. Speaking of Traitor's,has anyone spotted Xzvier, Patriah, or any of the other endless followers Thana has somehow procured? Once we've gathered everyone, we can begin our mission once more.

Somehow.....he did not pity himself
He pitied all that he had hurt or annoyed
So ianar knelt...and cried

Hearing him sob, Arael knelt next to him, hugging his invisible form. "...Ianar?...We don't...think you're an idiot..."

Hamiri shook her head, and she put a hand on her head, as she thought. "...This is all a wreck...Thana is actually with Adam...How are we going to rescue him?"

"Well, I can tell you one thing."

She turned and looked over to the direction of the noise, as Joaquin returned and walked toward the group, hands in his pockets. "What's that?" she asked.

When he stopped a few feet away from the group, he fought between giving Hamiri eye-contact and staring at the ground. With Adam having turned himself into Hamiri just minutes ago, seeing Hamiri herself made him feel quite uncomfortable, and he kept his gaze away from her so she couldn't see his embarrassed blush. "It's going to be near-impossible to just sneak in there. There are eyes literally everywhere, and they are almost always open..."

Hamiri sighed, and she looked away. "...But there's got to be a way...there's just got to be..." she muttered. She then turned to Joaquin and asked, "And what happened to Bunny and Xavier? Did you lose them?" she asked.

"No, I don't know what happened to-"

Before he could finish, Patriah landed, in his Semi-Mage form, not too far away. "We have to get over there. Thana's locked-up with that psycho Adam, and we-"

"We have to finish this mission first."

Patriah and a couple of others turned to Lux, who still stood with Charlotte now sleeping against him.

"We can't wait! And I thought you were so convinced that Raven was-"

"It does not matter. I do not believe him, and I will not worship him nor respect him. But we must defeat Thanakron, Tharzidun, and the Rot. Then we can go save Thana," Lux replied.

"Are you serious?! When you were caught by Adam, you begged for someone to come help you, but no, because it's Thana we have to wait?!" Patriah shouted, stepping forward until he was looming over Lux.

Lux's eyes widened with shock, as the tall Mage glared down at him. "...No...Patriah, please listen to me...I want to save Thana from Adam...but...we must do this first..." he answered.

"Oh, please. The only reason you're saying that is because you're not in Thana's place right now! But you know what? Fine. We'll go and help the guy who just pounded your brother into the dirt like a bag of bricks, because you know Xavier would do the same thing for you!" the Mage blasted.

"...Why are you saying this?...And where is Xavier?" Lux whispered, taken aback.

Patriah looked behind him, and he realized Xavier had not followed him back. "...Well...it looks like your brother went and did what you don't want to do..." he muttered, "he went and handed himself over to the tyrant."

The Archangel gazed with horror at Patriah, as he understood what Xavier was doing. He was going to try and trade himself for Thana. "...I..."

"Oh, you're sorry now, aren't you? Sorry you weren't brave enough to follow-"

Slap.

"Will you stop?! You're not helping anything by tearing him down! There's nothing we can do about it, we don't even know how to reach that dimension, and we don't have any sort of plan to defeat Adam. Now will you stop it?! You're being a jerk!" Hamiri yelled.

Patriah rubbed his now-raw cheek gingerly, and he slowly turned his eyes away in shame and in grief. "...I came because I wanted help...I couldn't go back there and do it on my own...and there's no telling what Adam is gonna do to them..."

Hamiri put a hand on his shoulder. "Look. Both of them are strong people. They're going to be fine. Right now, we need to focus on killing Thanakron, Tharzidun, and the Rot," she told him.

Reluctantly, her boyfriend nodded.

Arael looked from them to Ianar, and he asked, "Perhaps...perhaps we could send Ianar to rescue them, since he can turn invisible?"

Hamiri looked at Ianar's invisible body, and she nodded. "We'll think about it. But right now, let's deal with Tharzidun," she suggested.

Ianar remained invisible, as he spoke his voice wavered
Yet he still sounded confident and strong
"I will rescue Thana...you deal with Tharizdun....now how do I get to Adams little palace?"

"I will take you there...You cannot go alone..." Arael told him.

"As usual, nobody here listens to me!" Joaquin shouted, exasperated. "I just said you can't sneak in there. And if he sees Arael, he's gonna assume he's there because one of us sent him! Because, you know, first Ianar tried to go in there, then me a couple minutes ago, and now he's going to see you, and there's no telling what he'll do to you!"

Arael shuddered at the idea, but he simply looked at Ianar. "...I would rather it be me than any of you..."

"No. We're gonna deal with Larry, Curly, and Moe, and then we're gonna go stop Adam from doing whatever he's planning, alright? Stop being such a death-seeker and just listen to us for once!" Joaquin shouted at the Angel.

He didn't want to. He really didn't. He knew that if anyone else went in there, they would get seriously hurt. Yet he still closed his eyes and nodded submissively.

Ianar remained invisible
He glared at Joaquin even though he wouldn't know it
"Which is why I must go. Im useless in a fight, so send me to Adam for...I dunno, negotiations? Unless you have a problem with that Joaquin."
Ianar looked at the man expectantly
