He planted a foot on Ianar's wound, twisting his heel, which would cause immense pain.

Mourir looked back at the battle briefly, then turned around once more. "I would suggest standing by until further notice. Getting in Ryujin's way is not something that often ends pleasantly, from what I've observed. And Raven," he brought a hand down to his mace, elbow brushing back the plain gray cloak, "He does need to be brought down. If he needs us, he will lose. If he does not, well," the god of endings shrugged, "Then he doesn't."

"Well I am comfortable with standing back for now, this Raven is a bit beyond my pay grade..." Tercan admitted, not wanting to directly admit how she didn't know much about fighting, or much interest in learning. "How was this world found? Do we know what is different about it? Are there other worlds where we might have to deal with this again?"

Epsom had approached closer to the scene with Tercan and Cyrek, over hearing their introductions and the brief filling in by Mourir. It occurred to Epsom that he had never really met any gods beyond his own pantheon. He thought about engaging when he recalled the memories. he doesn't know what kind of reputation he has now... Perhaps they would immediately hate him should they find out what he had done. Thinking this, he tried his best to not be noticed while maintaining safe distance from the fighting

This time, Zeruel knew to dodge, and he merely moved aside as the fireballs exploded behind him. He then looked to Otohime as though nothing had happened. "'Princess of the Ocean'? Interesting. Who is your father?" he asked, ignoring Mourir and Ianar as they fought.

Xavier, however, did not ignore them. Before they could fire on each other again, he got between them, his wings ablaze as a warning. "That's enough! Both of you! I mean it!" he shouted.

Patriah merely stood aside and watched them, his mind still clouded with worry for Thana.

Mourir, standing atop Ianar, looked over at the angel, and blinked, the fire extinguishing itself instantly. "Step aside, angel, this is none of your concern." If Xavier attacked, he would realize just who was dealing with. "He deemed it necessary to do battle, do not dishonor his decision."

Otohime looked towards Ryujin, nodding towards the much, much, much larger dragon, "Um, Ryujin. He's over there...I feel like I should stop him before he gets himself hurt..."

He knelt down, squeezing him a bit tighter in the field, so that it would be more difficult to breathe, "And as I recall, Shen Lung saved you from both Ares and from Supay. "I thought so." Mourir let the energy loose, blasting Ianar's head.

But, instead of killing him, it was just a little more than enough to knock the weaker god out, leaving him unconscious and with one hell of a concussion, but he was otherwise unharmed. Mourir stood up then, letting his barriers relax their vice grip, "He should wake up in a few hours."

Raven sighed, and snapped his fingers, Ryujin, phasing through him, biting into nothing. He then side-stepped the dragon, and snapped his fingers gain, a cloud of energy humming from his fingers. He looked up, dead-faced, and frowning, expressing his displeasure with the dragon.

How disapointing. I had higher hopes for you. In the meanwhile, I've returned your cancer. Don't push it, and I'll remove the tumors.

He then turned to the others, shaking his head in disappointment.

I've only ever raised my arms against you in defense. Thana, betrayed us. Xavier, Patriah, Ryujin, attacked me, unprovoked. I am yet to commit a crime. I've admitted my faults, my sins. I'm not your God. But I'm still God, yet a humbling one. I came to you all, asked you for help. I did no ask for sacrifices, nor revenge. But only your aid. And I still only ask for that. And as of this moment, I pardon any whom attacked me. So please, stop this pointless fighting, and let us continue our quest. Simply ask yourself, what is the greater evil. The evil you have witnessed at the Rots hands, dead worlds, slaves, blood camps; or a God who has only raised his arms in defense?

Hyperion

Hyperion stood, glowing brighter. Should he be forced to intervene, he would.

"Why would you have to raise your arms against us, if you're right in what you're doing? If you know what you're doing is right, then why did you pound my boyfriend into the ground for wanting to go after his Master? And second, an actual God...an actual man doesn't shout for others to respect him. He earns it. So what's up with that?" Hamiri asked, folding her arms.

Ryujin blinked, having actually hurt his jaw with the force of his bite, draconic blood dribbling down his chin, and then snarled, turning slowly, "You're a fool to think I'll stop now. You attacked Patriah, and you may as well have declared war." He dove then, roaring, at the god once again.

Cyrek looked over at Tercan, his sword turning back into his left arm. "I don't really know much about what's going on currently, but it sounds like we have some big baddy named Rot to kill. Doesn't look like we'll get anywhere unless the dragon dude stops attacking that Raven guy. We could just stand around and wait for the next thing to happen, and because we just got here we shouldn't just jump to one person's side. We just have to stay neutral for now."

"RYUJIN!" Amaterasu screamed. "You just got through dying of cancer, don't you dare do this to me again! Stand down so he'll take it away! Don't you dare die again!"
Rachel slammed the hilt of her glaive into the ground angrily.

"You're all wasting Time! And I don't say that lightly! Just get this idiocy over with already!"
Charlotte just stayed silent.

Every time she spoke, something seemed to go wrong. So she was going to be silent and try to help in that way.

Raven looked over at her quizzically, indicating to the events around them.

1. Because I'm not going to let myself be attacked? Wouldn't you defend yourself if you were unfairly attacked? 2. Your boyfriend, struck me first. /i will not tolerate a physical assault on my being, and neither would you. 3. How have I no earned your respect? I've put my life endlessly on the line, showed humility, and saved thousands of people? What the heck do you want from me?

Ryujin's snout hit dirt and sand, as his blows went through air, Raven, teleporting to the side.

Please stop. I really do not desire to hurt you, and as I have said, Patriah, assaulted me first.

Arael thought for a few moments, and he looked at Hamiri. "I am...not happy with what he has done...but we do need to destroy the Rot...So even if we disagree on what Raven is...we do need to try and end this, at least...then...we can focus on Raven..." He then walked over to Rosalie, who was still unconscious on the ground, and he picked her up. He stared sadly down at her, and he closed his eyes, letting the tears fall down his cheeks.

"...I simply...want all of this to be over..." he whispered.

Hamiri watched him sadly, wondering why he seemed so broken, all of a sudden. However, seeing his depression made her decide that maybe it was for the best that they ended it all. "...Fine. Let's move-on to Thanakron, then..." she sighed.

Lux watched both of them with concern, knowing Xavier would not change his mind and that Thanakron would easily hurt Charlotte more, but he did not speak. He merely continued to let Charlotte rest against him, since she was still too weak to stand on her own. However, watching Arael cry, he wondered what was aching him so much...

In a twisted manner, something in Charlotte was amused.

'I will not tolerate a physical assault on my being, and neither would you.'

Hasty generalizations, Raven.

After all, we--

No! I banished them.

...what was that verse... if you banish spirits but don't fill the space they leave...

Charlie sighed in obvious relief. She wanted a little more time to prepare before facing Tharizdun.

Charlotte, on the other hand, felt a tight knot of emotion forming within her.

Hatred. Sadness. Hope.

And absolute, all-consuming fear.

Plink...

Plink...

Plin...

Rosalie slowly awakened, as she felt something cold fall on her face. She looked up, her blue eyes tired and confused, and she saw Arael looking down at her, crying silently. He had found her, after Adam had possessed her, and now he looked...lost...

"Arael? What's the matter?" she asked him, kindly.

Her fellow Angel smiled weakly down at her, after a moment of silence. "...Rosalie...We were doomed from the start..." he whispered.

"Huh?...What are you saying?" she asked.

He looked from her up at the sky. "...I want to go back there...Back where we came from, Rosie...Do you remember?" he asked her.

She shook her head. She had no idea what he was talking about.

"...It is okay...I do remember, however...And...when this is all over, Rosie...I want to go back there...but I am afraid...that I will not meet my end there...Like I said. We were doomed from the start..." he whispered, as the tears fell down.

He would follow Raven, but he promised himself one thing: he would never let him see his heart. He would hide himself from him. His heart was his last fortress, his last stronghold, the one thing that he kept guarded no matter what, except for the few people he deemed worthy to know what he held hidden. He would never bow and worship this god. He would never pray to him. If he died, at some point, he would make sure to keep himself to himself, all the way until the end.

It was the only idea that kept him from breaking inside, right at that moment. Right there, as he was holding Rosalie, his beloved little sister.

You literally pounded an angel and his friend into the dirt and demanded they respected you. That's not the words of a god, that's the words of a spoiled little boy on the playground. So yeah," she answered, walking toward him while still holding her sword. "I'll work with you, but only because I have to. Now where do we go from here?" she questioned, sharply.
