"... Who's Hitler?" Genbu asked, his eyes losing their blue glow and the master warrior falling to the ground beside her.

"He was a man in Germany during the 1900s..." She snapped her fingers and showed him a quick montage of Hitler's life, including all the despicable acts that had earned him such hatred.

Ranoria wrote:Ryujin tilted his head, somewhat perplexed by such notions, and pondered them for a moment. Of course, despite the stereotypical wisdom of dragons, he wasn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, at least metaphorically. Literally, he very well could be.

"A nightmare, you say? Interesting. Is it possible that our world's God could be trying to tell you something? You are an angel, after all." It seemed to make the most sense to him, as Lux was a servant of that God.

He would've entered his human form, but his dragonic one was much more comfortable, and he wasn't thinking about it at the moment.

"It could be God...I hope it's God...but I also have a feeling it could be...something else..." he whispered. He then looked at Charlotte, and he told her, "...When we face the Rot...please...you must be careful...I saw him do terrible things to you, Charlotte..." His voice shook, as he spoke, and his eyes seemed to almost fill with tears. She had suffered enough, and now something else was going to happen to her?
"I'll be careful, Lux," she said quietly, and hugged him. "Do you want to talk about any of it?"

When he simply said 'terrible things', her heart skipped a beat.

No... He can't mean that.

I've dealt with enough of that torture to last a thousand lifetimes...

Oh. Is that it? was her first, almost comical thought.

She looked worried, though, because she was.

She hugged him again.

Now this caught his attention, mainly because Lux had said 'sun,' and his gaze refocused on the angel, leaning down some more, "The sun? Is that all? What happened to these 'suns?'" If he had been thinking a bit more carefully, he'd have realized his worries were probably misplaced, but all he could think about was when Lux had corrupted Amaterasu once he mentioned a 'black sun.'

We haven't...

You haven't faced me in this universe yet.

And I'd call myself pretty major.

It's not you. It can't be.

It's just blackness, after all. Where would you even fit?

"We'll all get through this," she whispered. "All of us."

Hyperion

He grinned, holding her close to him, her darkness cooling his intense atomic heat. Hydrogen atoms burned around him, fusing with solar wind.

Evil? Psh. You were never evil. Just a little scary. But who isn't? Plus, I love that you're a little terrifying! Makes you fun!

He nuzzled inwards, siding up next to her, resting.

And who doesn't like that?

Raven

Raven sighed, catching Rosalie in the air. He snapped his fingers, a small duvet appearing, which he set her in down in. He mumbled to to, himself, Adam's words floating around his mind.

Perhaps you simply have no purpose to me.

Thanakron

Thanakron simply paused, looking back for a fragment of a second, his skull like face cracking further.

WHEN DEATH DIES, WHO CAN LIVE?

And with that, he was gone.

And with that, he was gone.

ADAM

Adam listened to Raven's words with interest, and from deep inside Arael's mind, he smiled to himself. Of course I do not have a purpose for you, you silly little bird. I am not made to suit anyone's interests. I have far too many of my own to care about...

THANAKRON'S PALACE

Thana stared, as Thanakron disappeared, and he sighed. He then turned and looked at Ianar. "Go to Tharzidun and wait for me there," he told him, simply. He then turned back to Thanakron, saying, "...If you do not want to speak to me, that is fine, but I am telling you, I am on your side. If you will come back, I will explain. I am willing to take your place against Raven, so he will not kill you. If you are not, however, I will go elsewhere. But I do not want Raven to kill anyone else. He is going to come and kill you, and then take your powers and use them for who-knows-what." He then knelt on one knee, showing his loyalty.

"If you will let me help you and the other deities, we can end this together."

Ianar walked over to the temple of Tharizdun
" Great Tharizdun! I wish to speak to you!"
He became visible at the entrance of his temple

Inari stood alone, several meters away from Lux and everyone else. She watched them converse. The fear. The lack of hope. She felt it.

To her, it felt like she was being left behind. Like everyone was starting to forget her. Lux seemed to be growing distant from her, and closer to Charlotte. It hurt. She wanted to break down and cry, but she couldn't bring herself to. Now wasnt the best time. She needed to stay strong, so that she could help Lux break away from his past. She didn't want to see his fears control him.

After taking a deep breath to swallow her emotions, she stepped towards the group. She didn't say a word. She simply remained silent, averting eye contact with anyone.

Lux saw her, and he smiled sadly at her, still being consumed by his fears. "Inari? What is the matter? Why do you look so sad?" he asked, kindly.

"Oh, it's nothing..." she lied. "Just don't worry about it. What we need to focus on right now is you, okay?" Deep inside, the fear of losing him remained. To know such a thing only caused her even more heartache. "Lux... I'm here for you."

He stared at the ground, as she mentioned it. "...What I fear...the most?..." he whispered. He thought for a moment, and then he sighed. "Everything...I hate it. I do not want to see him again...but if I must, I must," he answered.

Joaquin watched them talking, and then he muttered, "At least you don't have to worry about your own creator trying to use you...and without giving you any warning..."

Meanwhile, Xavier and Patriah were still talking about Thana and Ianar.

"We need to find them and get them back here. They are both going to end-up in so much trouble."

"But how? We don't even know where they went," Patriah insisted.

"I have an idea...but I'm not certain about it yet..." Xavier muttered, looking away into the distant sky.

Thanakron

Thanakron sat in the deep wretches of his cavernous obsidian home, angled deep into his hidden kingdom. He reached up with a single skeletal hand, looking down at the cracks gathered upon his skull-like face.

GRAT-GRAT-GRAT-GRATITUDE-GRATITUDES-FR-FRIEN-FRIEND.

He stood up, disappearing deeper into his cavernous home.

THIS IS MY HOME.

Tharizdun

There was no noise coming from within the temple, but screams of eternal pain. Red blood, viscera and gore flowing from its gates.

Tharizdun, in human form, appeared suddenly, snapping into existence.

And what do you want, little god?

Raven

Raven snapped his fingers, teleporting to the location of the others.

Know, I would move on, but it appears we're missing a few members of our party.

He raised an eyebrow quizzically beneath his mask, surveying his allies.

Now, where could they have gone?
