THE FEDERATION OF FRENCH-ARAGON

Image
PLAYED BY ERA THE MIND

V1.2.1 APPLICATION

Basic Information

Short Nation Name: French-Aragon
Territory: Territory Links
States:
The Crown Kingdom of France The Crown Kingdom of France is made up of a beautiful countryside, and has a military that is hell to be reckoned with, as it is a crown jewel of the European continent. (Updates Coming Soon)

The Crown Kingdom of Aragon The Kingdom of Aragon joined the French Empire during a union that came about due to the marriage of the King of Aragon and Empress Elizabeth von Hart. The merger of the two nations ended in a Federation led, mostly, by France, which backed Aragon, and vice versa. It has power equal to France.
Colonies: The colonies fall under the control of the Crown Kingdom of France, but are the Colony of Venezuela, which was conquered because of French military might in a massive action, and the Colony of Algeria, which is a very small African colony at this point in time. (Updates Coming Soon)

Client States:

Official Language(s): French, Spanish, Aragonese, Catalan
Form of Government: Absolute Monarchy w/various councils that, while capable of being overruled by the Heads of State/Government, handle many of the smaller issues at large, and advise French-Aragon in its three courts
Heads of State/Government: Empress Elizabeth von Hart, King Isaac Benoit
Courts of Rule:

Court of France (Updates Coming Soon)

Court of Aragon (Updates Coming Soon)

Court of French-Aragon (Updates Coming Soon)

The Two Capitols: Paris, France; Zaragoza, Aragon
Population: 32 million

Ethnicities: French, Spanish/Latino, German, Belgian, various others
Culture: French, Spanish/Latino, German, and accepted cultures are basically anything except for Gypsies of all types, Islamic peoples, and mostly those religions that aren’t Christian (except for the more civilized religion and nationality combinations they identify with certain nations. Basically, if a Japanese person was Islamic then the French would be slightly more okay with that than if they were Arab and Islamic (that won’t happen, but it’s an example). If they are Japanese and buddhist, however, they will be accepted)
Religion: Primarily Roman Catholic Church

Economical & Political Information

Currency:

The Federation of French-Aragon has adopted four official currencies as the currencies of both states in a largely successful effort to bolster against economical failure or inflation of any kind. The currencies developed out of the Crown Kingdom of France’s original Franc, a currency that was originally made out of zinc and copper that developed into both a coin of pure zinc and a coin of a copper/silver alloy. After better methods to mine precious metals came about, the second type of currency, the Precious Franc, came into being. The Precious Franc is a coin of either platinum, which is often produced in limited editions, gold, or silver, with each having a different value, to create a coin that has come to be used internationally, while the original Franc remains mostly within the borders of France, and both maintain their rankings as one of the most valuable currencies in the world. The final form of currency is an alternative currency known as Gem & Spice, which are specially cut and marked precious gems and specially bagged spices, all of which are of the highest quality possible, and have been known to be used across the world; Gem & Spice came into being with the conquering of the Commonwealth of the South American Tip.

To remove the complexity of having a different currency for each state that has been inducted into the Federation as a member, the currencies of each state that joins the Federation is replaced, as a whole, by French-Aragon currency. This leads to less confusion, higher amounts of trade between the states, an ease of manufacturing, and less funding going into manufacturing a frequently manufactured coin that would slightly dampen the French-Aragon economy. In an attempt to successfully pull this off, a six month to a many year long process of repurposing every minting facility, and replacing the currency across the board is implemented. This process is named after the Reformation Era, and, thus, has been coined by foreigners the “Reformation of Currency” process, a name that French-Aragon has adopted officially. All in all, the Federation of French-Aragon is a juggernaut that is a hassle to deal with should you get on their bad side, and it can only be bolstered by the prospect of mimicking the fallen New Federation of Poland (which fell due to invaders, but had a great economy throughout their desolation… mostly because everything was gold or shiny, or both) and creating a World Trade Corporation.

The minting process of the Federation is one of the most strenuous and complicated processes on the planet, with minting facilities known to be around the world inside nations not of the Federation due to the materials used. Precious materials are baked into gorgeously made, brilliantly metallic coins and bars, and painstakingly cut gems, with oddly attractive spices making up the rest of them. The Federation currencies, as a whole, can be seen being used by nations and individuals alike as an international reserve currency that term is something you will see often throughout this description of French-Aragon currency. Each ounce that goes into minting the currency, which is only minted when certain circumstances that reduce the costs are met, and is infrequently minted, is noted to be of a high quality with a guideline set by the states of the Federation. However, the Federation is not mad as it knows that all of their “precious currencies" would bankrupt them, and that they would suffer a supply lack should they not produce a primary currency.

That primary currency is simply the Federation Franc, and it is a coin composed completely of the cheap metal known as zinc, and it maintains a relatively high value despise its near costless production. The Federation Franc was developed side-by-side the Grand Franc, so it may be able to be seen as a progenitor of the three “precious currencies” as well, during a year where the currencies split into two distinct forms. The Federation Franc, unlike the other currencies, only has one form factor, and it is that of the coin, with different coins having different values. This currency is one of the most common in French-Aragon, and it can be correctly states that it is the most common currency of the Federation, even when compared to the Grand Franc. The Federation Franc may not make it into the international reserves of entire nations, but it has seen its fair share of international use, and it is the foundation of the Federation’s bustling economy.

The Grand Franc, though this variation itself is largely seen simply as the “Franc”, itself is the progenitor of all of the three currencies that came to develop in French-Aragon, and it has resulted in it being one of the more notable currencies in Europe due to inspiring generations of economic development. The Franc is made out of a silver/copper alloy, and is commonly known to be used as an international reserve currency. The Franc’s two different forms, that of a coin and that of a solid bar with an imprint of the various symbols, and national leaders, and important peoples, inspired the form factor of the Precious Franc. It is noted that certain holidays are marked with a celebration through the minting of a customized Franc embedded with precious gems or gold, and that the Precious Franc enjoys the same liberty. The Franc, however, still finds a higher percentage of its use in French-Aragon than the other two forms of currency that the Federation makes use of, and is, at large, the most common of the currencies due to it frequently being minted (note: it is still minted at a lower frequency than that of other nation’s currency).

The Precious Franc was herald of a new age of prosperity across the entirety of France, and then Aragon as it joined France in what would become the Federation of French-Aragon, and it is inspiration for other nations to follow in the footsteps of the French-Aragon economy. The Precious Frank is made up of the three primary precious metals, these being platinum, gold, and silver (in descending value), with each of them being filtered into high quality coins and “dollar” bars. Silver is the most minted currency, while gold and platinum often find themselves infrequently minted in what has been coined as the French as the “Periodic Minting Process”. To avoid inflation, and bankruptcy, the Precious Franc is generally minted only when the French-Aragon Federation has built up enough reserves (though them not having the reserves is very rarely an issue), or when the value of the currency is higher than the price of the minting process. The Precious Franc finds itself as one of the most held international reserve currencies, and you can often find reserves in the forts, namely a fort (though there is some throughout French-Aragon), of the Federation.

Gem & Spice currency has found its way around the globe as the most prolific periodic mint currencies of all time, and is noted to have developed primarily because of access to both exotic and high quality spices, and because of the gems in South America. Gem & Spice is made up of two components, with the Gem being the least minted, while the Spice of the duo is made more frequently than the Gem due to the fact that spices are used more frequently. The gems and spices both are of the highest quality, and have to meet a stout federal guideline to be used as part of the duo, no matter where they came from, or whether or not they are “special”. Even rare kinds of certain gem types haven’t met the Gem & Spice guidelines, and this has led to these being sold to the highest bidder, or stored by the government, with some of these actually being worth far more than some of the gems. Each gem in the Gem portion of Gem & Spice is cut into a variety of different cuts, with each coming in varying sizes, and with most of them coming in a few different shades, though limited edition shade mints have been known to come along. The Gem & Spice currency is, arguably, the most successful currency minted every so often, and, like the Precious Franc, it has seen a large amount of use in international trade.

History:

The Civil War

The War of the Three Henrys saw the death of Henry IV killed in battle during which the noble houses had tensions between them rising in such a way that a civil war would become inevitable. With Henry the Fourth killed, and the rightful claimants to the French Empire all capable of taking the throne at this point, war broke out between the noble houses. The von Hart, however, stated themselves to be neutral, but, in actuality, they were running a secret campaign of embargoes, assassinations, and stalling shipments of food to starve out the most dangerous opponents.

The Empire fell into a civil war, and lost some territory to the English at the northeastern border of France, and they were barely able to protect themselves from external threats that would have to be crushed at a later point in time. The Netherlands and Belgium united together, and proclaimed a separation from their client state status and the French Empire, and they became one nation. The majority of other client states of the Empire proclaimed individuality as well, and this saw France lose its hold over Europe as the dominant power.

With the great nation of France failing, the Empire would see themselves scurrying to maintain control over their colonies, which they eventually lost and would have to reclaim in the future. A sect of their navy separated from France to form the seagoing Harken’s Armada, which would go on to plague the world for as long, and potentially longer, than the von Hart dynasty would have control over France. Everything was going to hell, and the nobles were decimating themselves in a war that, supposedly, the von Hart were simply watching.

Already one noble house, the Valois, had been literally starved out of France, and forced to retreat through the von Hart’s campaign of stopping every possible shipment that went directly to the noble family. The von Hart weren’t targeting any military outposts, or anything like that, at least not as much as they were targeting other things, and were instead targeting those who were leading the militaries, which happened to be the nobles themselves. Meanwhile, the water supply of a major fort was poisoned by mercenaries hired by the von Hart, and it saw two housed aligned nearly crumble into complete desolation, and the remaining leadership of the other noble houses would only see the von Hart at their truly vicious form.

It wasn’t until a peace meeting was called, and a large majority of the other noble houses having fallen, that it became evident that the von Hart had an army capable of taking on the noble houses. While the nobles wanted to stand united against the von Hart, the heads of each noble house were captured and put to death to dissuade the potential von Hart enemies from striking out. This caused the other noble houses to submit to the House of von Hart, and it saw the von Hart begin what would be over a century of rule in one of the most capable royal dynasties of the French Empire.

After the Civil War

All of the houses that could lay rightful claim to the Kingdom of France fell when the House of von Hart laid a secret siege of warfare of cunning, horror, and mastery of the arts of the shadowy empire. Once the desolation of the Houses of Bourbon, Valois, Orleas, Anjou, and the other royal clades capable of claiming the throne had been completed, the ancestors of Elizabeth von Hart took the throne of France. Their seizure of such a powerful nation, and the fact that they were such a family of brutally intelligent tacticians and merchants, led to France seizing the various situations Europe would go through throughout the 15 decades of rule that the von Hart family had before Elizabeth von Hart formed her legendary alliance with the Kingdom of Aragon.

Underneath the rule of the von Hart family, the flag of France changed to match the coat of arms of a family now ubiquitous with a powerful rule of France and her various territories. Their military saw a major reform based on the rule of Efficiency vs Size that the von Harts adhered to, and the soldiers often underwent 6 to 12 months of some of the most strenuous training in the world to create what is often described as the perfect soldier. The economy saw the French currency, the Franc, have their coins be sistered with silver, gold, and platinum coins known as Precious Franc, each of them precious metals, with some being limited editions (platinum, and diamond/jewel laced coins, mainly); these coins acted as a safeguard against inflation, and made France’s economy one of, if not the, strongest in Europe.

The first two decades of rule under the von Hart family revealed that the von Harts were ruthless and calculating in all of their actions, and their subsequent defense of invasions from state after state, and sometimes even multiple at once, revealed that France was more than capable of achieving its goals. They were fortified for these two decades, with fortifications that would be updated and eventually replaced as technology advanced, and the capabilities of the French military expanded. However, things really started to get fun after the Era of Reform when the Era of Expansion came about and led to some of the most prolific expansions into the resource rich South America.

South America had become a continent filled with nations capable of achieving as much, if not more than, the nations that had previously occupied them due to the amount of wealth that each of the nations held within their resource banks. The Commonwealth of the South American Tip, an alignment of various nations devoted to defense against outside forces and deliverance from European reliance, was the target of one of the greatest military deployments in French history. The war would be bloody, and it would take a while for the French to recuperate from the loss of hundreds of thousands of lives, but it could be noted that their forces were more than capable of defeating opponents.

The French military abandoned the old honor system for combat, and engaged in brutal guerrilla warfare tactics, and various other forms of warfare tactics to utterly decimate their opponents. The Commonwealth of the South American Tip fell completely under French control after three more decades of the von Hart ruling the French, and it saw France gain a hold of mineral wealth capable of bolstering their economy greatly. After the conquering of the Commonwealth, and the Commonwealth soon becoming a colony, the French developed a new currency based around specially cut and marked diamonds and spice bags in a way much similar to the once powerful and omnipresent New Federation of Poland that dies out in the early 1800s.

Fast forward past various unremarkable conflicts, and 8 decades worth of history history that couldn’t be bothered to be mentioned (it will probably be mentioned later, and everything else will be given more depth), we’re faced with the dilemma of modern day Europe and the situation with Aragon. You see, the king of Aragon, Isaiah Benoit, and the Empress of the Empire of France, Empress Elizabeth von Hart, had met each other at a ball in the boarder, and fell in love almost immediately. It wouldn’t be until two months later when they met once more that Aragon and the Empress married for both love and the merger of two powerful, and highly capable nations.

This is probably what led to the predicament that the two nations were in now, which isn’t much of a predicament at all, and is in fact France preparing for the Second Expansionist & Reformation Period. This era would see the rule of two notable monarchs ruling a bi-state Federation led by two powerful states in Europe, and their brilliance would be cast upon their nations. However, with tensions rising across the globe it may only be a matter of time until French-Aragon is pulled in, or she somehow steps on the toes of another nation with her expansions...

… the question is, will France and Aragon rise and become an omnipresent nation capable of fielding thousands of troops anywhere in the globe, or will the lovely ladies fall and have their mainland, colonies, and peoples divided amongst the nations of the world?

The Fleet of Yarakai -

The Fleet of Yarakai was the premier exploration fleet of the Rah’Vin Federation, and was comprised of the greatest, and latest ships. It is made up of a total of over 126 fully operational ships manned and operated by the best naval officers recruited from the Rah’Vin military forces. The fleet is led, as a whole, by the RFS Sovereignty, and has 6 total squadrons made up of 21 ships each that are operational in the most important areas of space; these ships that lead the squadrons are the RFS Sovereignty, the RFS Defiance, the RFS Ascendancy, the RFS Marksman, the RFS Deliverance, and the RFS Solaris. Each squadron, while not normally traveling in a solid group, can notably be seen within a distance of each other that allows for one ship to travel to another when absolutely necessary. The fleet, as a whole, normally has one to two squadrons per sector, but may separate from each other at any one time and spread farther out than that if absolutely necessary. Don’t be confused, but even though each squadron has its own specialties they are also capable of operating in other areas, and have a squadron that is a healthy balance of ships that have to do with the specialties and those that don’t; however, they still have their downsides, and, as usual, some will be more capable in certain areas than others.

The RFS Sovereignty is an absolutely massive battleship-carrier hybrid that was engineered with a balance of warfare, exploration, tactical command, and actions of science in mind so that it could easily lead the fleet. It is the conglomeration of over 3 decades of research into one of the most advanced vessels in the Galaxy, which has given it certain advantages over other ships. It is capable of splitting itself into around 7 different vessels that are each about the size of your standard missile destroyer at 300 meters long each; with the RFS Sovereignty itself being around 1,600 meters long and has the separate areas doubled up on each other around the larger, central vessel that is at 700 meters long. The RFS Sovereignty’s construction has allowed for it to have a decentralized design, and though still managing to be aesthetically pleasing this means that damaging, or even destroying, one of the ships won’t necessarily impact how the RFS Sovereignty performs. The RFS Sovereignty is host to over 600 different fighters, and carries 4 frigates on top of the 7 different vessels that it is comprised of; it sports ballistic, liquid metal weaponry, a large array of turrets, and much versatility in its weapons systems. It is often referred to as “The Capitol Ship”. (please note that all capital ships possess the capacity to glass a planet, even if energy weapons aren’t what they are primarily equipped with)

The RFS Defiance, and the RFS Marksman, are two ships of the same class that are outfitted with mostly missile-related weaponry, and are smaller, more maneuverable ships compared to the other flagships of the Yarakai Fleet. The Defiance, and Marksman, are missile destroyer/carrier hybrids that have a fleet devoted to operating quickly, and smoothly, without the use of larger vessels in combat. They, and their squadron, are noted to be one of those that are less equipped with exploratory and scientific equipment, and are more devoted to tactical operations. However, they are still capable of pursuing the basic scientific operations of the Rah’Vin fleet, and it is not uncommon for a ship in the Defiance or Marksman squadrons to be retrofitted for a specific mission, nor is it uncommon for other ships to be given the same benefits. As with most Rah’Vin ships, the Defiance and Marksman operate with the standard equipment of the Rah’Vin military, but are noted to have some experimental or testbed weaponry, and it is also notable that some of the ships in the squadron are experimental ships themselves.

The RFS Deliverance, and the squadron of 21 ships assigned to it, are balanced, but have a larger amount of equipment devoted to harvesting, and storing, natural materials, transferring materials into usable forms, and sustaining themselves. It also sports a larger cargo hold than the majority of other ships, and as such is used for premier operations that require an armed presence; it is also often accompanied by ships outside of the Yarakai Fleet that operate in divisions other than military ones, and can be considered to have a squadron that totals to a total of a little over 300 armed and, mostly, unarmed ships devoted to a variety of industrial and trade-related causes. Unlike the Solaris and Ascendancy, and their squadron, however, the Deliverance is noted to have equipment and weaponry that is very much standard. It has slightly less weaponry than carriers of the same class, and also sports the highest amount of sentients among any of the other ships. The Deliverance has a success rate that eclipses that of one of the galaxy’s major mining leagues, despite that not being the only focus, and has been at the front of discovery for the past decade or so. The Deliverance is currently the least up-to-date ship of the Fleet of Yarakai, but it still has delivered constantly at high rates during its tenure leading the Deliverance Squadron.

The RFS Solaris, and the RFS Ascendancy, are two carrier vessels of the same class that are known for their capacity to draw off the power of sunlight, and even harvest entire stars, and use that absorbed energy for prolonged periods without having to go into contact with a star for several years if enough energy is built up. They sport some of the most advanced starlight harvesting technologies in the fleet, and are built for extended operations away from other fuels. The ships are self-sustaining vessels that possess the capacity to manipulate starlight to perform a variety of actions instead of using the technologies specific to that, and therefore allowing the vessels’ constructions to host more than the usual Rah’Vin ship, and perform actions such as cloaking, and more. The ships possess powerful energy-based weaponry unlike the rest of the ships Rah’Vin ships, and host a squadron of ships with similar technologies that are capable of docking and forming a moving habitat that merges its collective energies & weaponries for when colonization efforts are under way. The focus of the Solaris, and Ascendancy, ships is based around long-ranged operations in deep space, far away from the normal territory of the Rah’Vin.

Location Unknown - Center for Tactical Command; RFS Sovereignty, RFS Solaris, RFS Ascendancy -

The Rah’Vin had the center for their operations fleet operating in an unknown location, and three out of six different ships were currently functioning with their fleets active. The Center for Tactical Command was a mobile, heavily armed space station capable of faster-than-light travel, surrounded by an equally mobile complex of other space faring constructs, and regularly protected by ships. It was a mobile habitat created using technology that would later be refined, specialized, and reforged into the Solaris and Ascendancy ships, though it was not capable of arranging into a single super complex like those ships and their squadrons. The Center for Tactical Command, also known as the CTC, was comprised of over 12 different space faring constructs, and has over 400 ships active in it at any one time, with numbers often eclipsing that during times of stress or war. It was capable of docking with over 3,000 different ships at any one time, and when surrounding a planet could mount colonization efforts in a single day.

The Center for Tactical Command was a machine, and, though no where near the size of the array of space faring constructs around a planet, was absolutely massive in scale, functionality, and capacity, that was often visited by other Rah’Vin ships at any one given time. That’s why it had been chosen as the base of operations for the Sovereignty, its squadron, and the RFS Solaris and RFS Ascendancy, and their squadrons. The Center for Tactical Command housed the Sovereign and a wide variety of other tactical command gear, with the combined processing power, and the amount of functioning tacticians, capable of leading the vast majority of the Rah’Vin fleet. That’s why the Sovereign was there; it was there to command, communicate with, and keep track of its own squadron, merge its computing processing power with the CTC to command operations around the galaxy and in Rah’Vin territory, and to keep safe in its own little home should it need to depart. It was the perfect situation for the Sovereign to help in maintaining strategic command over its own forces in relative safety, while still being able to host its own squadron.

The Solaris, and Ascendancy, had just recently had their construction completed in the dry docks that the Center for Tactical Command sported as one of its 12, highly functional facilities. They were preparing to set out to explore the space past the Rah’Vin system, and engage in efforts to bring new territories and planets into the Federation. The Solaris was going to be operated by the RFPS, which was unknown to the vast majority of the Rah’Vin, and would be charged with exterminating the suns of races that, in the future, could pose a threat to the Rah’Vin. Unknown to the public the Starbringer class of ships were capable of functioning as Weapons of Mass Destruction by harvesting, and therefore destroying, entire suns. Hopefully all would go well as the Ascendancy reached deep space, and the Solaris began efforts of enforcing Rah’Vin rule.

First Contact with the UTT - Sol Sector; RFS Defiance -

The jump into the so-called Sol Sector had been a highly successful operation, as far as jumping into unexplored territories went, and the first thing that the Defiance noticed was that the Sol Sector was heavily occupied. A communications message was sent out to the rest of the squadron.

”This is Captain Vi’var, and I have a message for all Defiance squadron ships. Stay in groups of three, and carefully navigate. Maintain diplomatic protocols with all encountered ships. It is not known is these people are friendly, or not.”

The Rah’Vin had been operating in the galaxy for quite some time, but had never engaged in any operations with the Sol Sector or anyone who resided within it. It wasn’t until recently that the Rah’Vin had realized that they had overlooked a seriously massive player in the Galaxy that was known as the United Tribal Territories. As such, the Defiance had been sent on a purely diplomatic nation, and thus a jump was initiated that immediately brought the squadron into the Sol Sector.

Furein System; RFS Marksman -

The beauty that was the sleek, jet black and ivory white Marksman had just arrived within the Furein system after getting word that there were massive amounts of operations going on within the system. Arriving directly after it through the near-instantaneous jump-based FTL system that the Rah’Vin used were 21 other ships, each arranged in strategic groups of 3. The Marksman itself led a squadron that included a battlecarrier, one of three of the large ships in the Squadron, and two other destroyers.

A message was sent out to the ships in the area:

”This is the RFS Marksman of the Rah’Vin Federation. Identify yourselves immediately, and please explain the situation. So far, we’ve only heard that massive military operations were being undertaken, and would like if it was further explained. So, please, who’s fighting… what?”

The Rukat Mining Operation; RFS Deliverance -

The Rukat Sector was an area of space rich in natural resources that had not been claimed, nor explored, by any nation that had the power to actually gain a grip in the sector. A fleet of 2,000+ was traveling with the Deliverance, and this included 160 different colony ships that would begins setting themselves up across 40 different systems. Terraforming, if absolutely necessary, would start almost immediately upon arrival so that the Deliverance, and its squadron, could continue operations under the flag of the Rah’Vin Empire.

The Deliverance was already operating on a mining field of asteroids rich in several minerals that, upon looking closer, had not yet been uncovered, and had the capacity to greatly enhance the capacities of drones, and droids, across the board. Due to the fact that the state had gotten here first, and laid claim to the 40 different systems, it meant that foreign corporations wouldn’t have the capacity to do much, if anything, about their lack of action. Of course, the Rukat Sector was newly discovered, and perhaps other nations had just not discovered it for themselves.

It was believed that the minerals in just this one asteroid field could increase the strength, flexibility, and durability of all droids, and drones, while also giving the capacity to greatly improve the computer chips and droid brains all across the Rah’Vin Federation. This would mean lead to an acceleration of processing speed, and intelligence, by double the original amount, which could lead to a drastic improvement in battle operations by the droids with sentience. Reflexes would be improved, tactical skills could be imprinted in greater number, and martial combat would be under the belt of the Rha’Vin.

The Deliverance and the 2,000 ships all across the Rukat Sector were consolidating themselves to the 40 systems that they were currently setting about colonizing. Further colonization would allow the Rukat Sector to truly be harnessed, and hopefully, in time, infrastructure development could turn Rha’Vin territory there into a forge for ships, war efforts, and new technologies. A lot of construction was going on, and within a few years the Rukat Sector could be thriving as territory was split into different regions, and sold off in a greater amount.

How will it start you mean?

Yeah.

And just FYI, I'm updating the roster from the Archive so I don't have to sift through all the pages and apps. So if you've been accepted but haven't put your app there, and you're not on the roster, that's probably the reason why.

Idk. Maybe at the 3rd page? We really need to work out a time scale for the RP, and start putting dates on our posts

Look France, you can't have a high quality military of 640,000. For a top notch military 200,000 roughly is max. If you want 640,000 they'd have to be bad conscripts. Massive population percentages in the military only work in medieval times.

Okay, then I'll lower the amount to 200,000 something soldiers!

Okay, then I'll lower the amount to 200,000 something soldiers!

Yay! You get my accept then.

3) For lands that aren't "owned" by a nation, but by competing tribes, should I simply leave those white?

What do you think of these states, Chernarus?

Also, what do you think of a Maori kingdom in New Zealand that no one knows about? :)

I'm sad ;-; I'm worried that my army isn't large enough. And, uhm, do you think that 40,000 French soldiers could defend against the Netherlands? And what about taking them on? Could I take on the Netherlands?

XD, and everyone REMEMBER THAT THE AMOUNT OF SOLDIERS DEPLOYED IS USUALLY IN THE 1-20 THOUSAND RANGE.

Yeah.

And just FYI, I'm updating the roster from the Archive so I don't have to sift through all the pages and apps. So if you've been accepted but haven't put your app there, and you're not on the roster, that's probably the reason why.
Sanabel wrote:Lin when should we time jump a month ahead to the emissaries arriving at the Conference of Benevento?

Idk. Maybe at the 3rd page? We really need to work out a time scale for the RP, and start putting dates on our posts

Accepted. Archive it :)

I say we establish and timescale after the Conference.

No point in doing it now. I will make the time jump post on the IC announcing it once we reach p. 3. No need to RSVP to the invite really.

Tibet is an independant state. I started putting in the NPC's.

So you could invade Tibet, but keep in mind it's a lot of Mountains. The people there are "backward", but they're in Mountains...

:( I'm not getting any answers to my questions.

I've asked a few. One was about whether or not you guys could be patient and help me out with roleplaying war, and getting to know the technology of the period. The other was about the Netherlands. And another was about if my army of 240k was too small D:

For a price we Celts could provide manpower and ships to this invasion.

Will 40k be able to take on the Netherlands? And what about the first question, about being patient and me getting help?

Yo, France, you might as well consider HANSE neutral or negative given we're your primary competitors.

Anyways, Soviet I posted on the archive so now I''ll answer your previous question. The civil war would probably be kicked off due to grievances from the 1848 Revolutions, where Catholics were fighting to preserve the monarchies against Lutherans who were fighting for a Republic similar to HANSE'S. HANSE provocateurs would supply muskets to the Protestant villagers who would start skirmishing against neigboring Catholic villages, following a intervention by Royalist forces, the skirmishes would gradually turn into three concurrent and related civil wars in the central German states.
