Ah, pity to see you go Apple. I'll hold the province for you if you change your mind.

It's not out of the realm of possibility for me to return because I'm only leaving because I'm bored. If I'm ever in the mood to play again, I'll come back. Just don't hold your breath for that to happen.

No worries. I'm sure I'll still be here.

Sorry I wasn't doing anything for a few days. I spent time with some relatives a few hours away and was busy basically all the time.

That's ok. It was the same with me only they were in town and 3 of my Christmas presents just arrived a day or so ago so I've been playing Star Wars republic commando and Knights of the old republic 1 & 2 a fair bit.

I'm going to be posting more on the consecration soon, but I'm waiting to know if there will be any sort of in-year resolution for my invitation to the tournament before posting any more on that front. I'm not entirely expecting one, but I was just holding off to hear so.

Sorry- I mean to roll one through, I'm just still out of town. I should be back in about nineish hours though, and then I'll get on it.

No worries. I might get a post up continuing the (already resolved) consecration later, then. Thinking of instituting a provincial law, with my newfound legitimacy, but having trouble thinking of something interesting enough to dwell on.

Could try and force Gruen's judiciary from me as a Lord to me as a Bishop, but that really has no end-game to speak of.

Perhaps try securing the lordship of a province or two of Soria's given his underwhelming Legitimacy compared to yours?

What would the orthodox means of doing that be? Entreating the existing Lord (or, well, provincial administrator) to swear fealty? Or would there be a more subtle way that would be the 'regular' way of doing so?

Or are you suggesting I just march in and ask them nicely not to fight back?

Probably the former. Sounding out the wardens (they wouldn't be noble, just caretakers of the vacant Soria estates) with either monetary bribes or the promise of elevation to petty nobility under you might be effective. Military force would be dicey.

What kind of coin are we talking about?

I'm thinking I offer 50 coin to a warden in exchange for him stepping aside, in favour of the local Priest to be elevated as a clerical petty lord.

That'd probably be a reasonable sun to start with. Of course, you risk drawing the ire of Soria.

The 'dead' one or the six year old? :P

It'd be a pretty overt power play, I'm aware. I may try something more subtle, but that's neither here nor there.
