Resident Evil RP? I'm in for it.
Because sometimes even national leaders just want to hang out

For the past two years I've been doing my own thing, discovered tabletop gaming and done that, love it and have been working on my space opera verse for the past 8 years now. it's basically '1940's America in Space fights Space Samurai Elves while the Knight Templars save the galaxy".
Also, what is your guys view of using dice/TTRPG systems for games.

I see what you mean. I've been in a few RPs where there were massive amounts of co-writes, and Discord was very helpful for that. But for most others, including some I've done, it didn't really have a point and only took visibility away from my OOC.

Yeah, and it creates two classes: those who are available at the same time as the OP, who can contribute massively to the RP and the world building, and those who are not. Those who are not get left behind quickly, as discord is not at all easy to read back on.
What gets me the most is when a small group of players does all kinds of world building, doesn't communicate this at all, but does hold it against players making an app, as if they should have known.

I've been there. Annoys me too. (I hope that's not why you dropped out of my Mars Needs Windex.)

Well put, I do miss the times in NS before IRC or Discord was not the primary means of OOC communication. I miss having OOC threads where the planning is actually done.
