That works. You might need to retrace it in pen, though. In my experience, pencil tends not to scan well.

There are also several good mapping programs.

If you want free try Inkarnate, I have found it sufficient for a lot of my maps. However, if you have some coin you could also use Wonderdraft, it's a newer program that is like twenty bucks.

I know that Inkarante has a subscription-based pro version, and having used it it has a lot of cool assets, however, wonder draft lets you import assets from anywhere. And, having used both programs I will say Wonderdraft is the better map maker out there.

Random generators are okay, and that one is probably the best one, but being able to have complete control over how your map looks is in my opinion the best thing. Especially if you already have an idea of what you want the world to look like.

Intriguing! I'm trying out the Inkarnate one right now since I'm a cheapskate and it looks pretty snazzy right now.

Hey there!

I'm running a few RPs right now. Sadly, the one is really slow. But it's still going - and the more that come and participate, the less slow it will be. It's the longest running comedy RP on NS, called "The Infinites" and this arc is called "The Dork Knight". With a comedic mystery involving a guy who calls himself "Wombatman."

The RP I'm doing is a lot more serious. Super powered individuals are in a mental hospital, unable to remember and unsure who they are and why they're there. But trouble's brewing behind the scenes, and slowly, a mystery as to what's going on is making people question what is exactly going on here. It's called "Delirium".

Yeah, rules in RPGs are more like guidelines to get everyone on the same page. They're not ironclad, unbreakable laws.
